TK. Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 And here again a very original idea for a case, which our beloved SID has really deserved :)This MIDIbox SID has been built by reboot: Quote

Sinnsyk Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 great job, nice frontplate, etcwhere did u get that keyboard? out of a midi-controller? or was it in the case before you started? Quote
reboot Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 hellothank you for your commentsfirst thank to Thorsten Klose because without him i would't start to study electronic (2 yrs ago)and make this project and thanks for those who helped me to debug it.the case is one of two .It was made by a friend of mine (an ebenist)it is made of wild cherry tree (merisier in french) tinted.the keyboard is from an old toy. It's same one as yam dx 100 but shorter. If you find one you can cut it (the toy!)but it's probably a bit of work .The "midi interface" is not ready .My friend who's get the second one works on it and it's almost done. The is 3 things i would like to add1.button for mono or poly mode, 2.Pitch bend, 3.Transpose for the keyboard and wait for V2...questions welcomewhat else?....i'm happy Quote
Jidis Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 questions welcome-Yes, one here. ;)Who's knobs are those? From the picture, they sort of look like those of the notorious Alesis 3630 compressor (some of my all time favorite black knobs). I wanted some a while back and they would only sell me a few, but I figure there must be a source somewhere other than Alesis. ???-- Beautiful SID, BTW!George Quote
mikeb Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 I guess my post disappeared the day the forum did. :)Reboot, I had posted asking if you might be able to post pictures of inside the unit? Good stuff by the way! Quote
