  1. One question though: ucapps.de says midi out 2 is clock signal only. Can it be configured to also send notes cc etc? Like midi out 1?
  2. Hello, If the bass drum triggers when it is connected to 12v, then maybe the signal from j5.ao is not strong enough. You might want to experiment with a relay. Look into the midio128 page on ucapps.de. The switch S1&S2 between 12v and the 808 bass drum trigger, and vs & vi operated from j5.. Or maybe even a FET switch might work? I' m not an expert on this but it crossed my mind. Maybe it helps..
  3. Hello all of you, glad you like my attempt! Altitudes idea is great, please post the mods to the file. I have a factory made psu block I ll put in, so I have another file with mods for this. I'll post pics of course when it's ready!
  4. Confirmed and solved: cable issue! Thank you very much.
  5. hello TK, now I measured the following: with testlcdpin rw 1: 3V36 at j5a/b and p1.27on lpcxpresso without cable and display; and with cable only (no lcd); with testlcdpin rw 0; same spots and connections 0v24 with cable and LCD connected; however, the same measurements at j5b (cable is at j5a) and p1.27; but still always 4v96 (rw 0 and rw 1) on the lcd itself. But measuring between Vss on the LCD and j5b.rw // p1.27 both with rw 0 and rw 1 gives proper voltages ie. 3v36 and 0v24. It is either the cable or the LCD itself then, is that correct? There should be something with the cable, otherwise measurements at j5b.rw = p1.27= lcd.rw, right? But why only the RW line? that does not make sense to me. I'd expect an improperly connected cable to give more problems, not on one line. Measuring resistance between Vd (+5V) and RW pins on the lcd gives about 830R with - on vd and + on rw. Other way around is about 750k. Should I get more flatcable and try make another cable? Thanks for helping me so much!
  6. Thank you very very much. But alas, it does not help. The old 16x2 happily says Midio128 V3.014 but the new 20x2 only shows an upper line of blocks. Should I retest with testlcdpin?
  7. hello TK, I think I managed to track down the problem to the RW line: Without the display connected, measurements for RS, RW en E (when set to 1) are ca 3.3 and ca 0,2V when set to 0. D0-7 have ca 5V for 1 and 0V for 0. But when I connect the display, the behavior of RW changes: it has always 5V! It is not a short at the pins soldered on the display (confirmed by multmeter beep test). Could the pull-up issue play a role (in other thread) or do you still suspect my soldering ;-) ? (btw. the other pins act normally with the display connected). If it is the pullup problem, where should I make what changes to the code? Thanks a lot!
  8. Hello TK, might the problem also be related to this issue: ?? The datasheet of my LCD http://www.satistronics.com/myfiles/file/LCD/RT2002A2.pdf does not say anything about 5V tolerance mentioned in the other topics. Anyway, i will do the testlcdpin tonight: I must measure the voltages at the LCD connector iiuc? Best,
  9. Thank you! Great I'll give it a try tonight.
  10. Hello Midiboxers, I have strange behavior with the Satistronic RT2002A2 20x2 LCD: it keeps displaying a line of blocks on the upper lines. The cabling is one-to-one and I can measure 5V at pins 1&2 and a variable voltage (backlight contrast!) on pins 15/16. So this looks OK, right? It is not in the LPC17 core nor the MIDIO128 software as my old and unpractical 16x2 LCD functions properly. I also double checked with a second RT2002A2, which also gives only a line of blocks. Any clues to look into? Thank you!
  11. Thanks for the tips! The core is off center on purpose because I will put in a ready psu. I ll check the holes. But I m not sure if it will fit the p2 template if I move the parts around - worth trying.
  12. Ilmenator mentioned that CS2 is the most practical format for most people. So here is the CS2 version - still not tested though.
  13. Hello, I just double checked it- Formulor accepts it. It is in AI CS5 format.
  14. The box was generated, so I guess it wil be ok. The CS and back plate holes for usb midi etc were copied, so I guess they will be OK as well. I put four holes in the corner and front plate for spacers. I will drill holes for the Pcb manually, so they will align.. But please take a peek...
  15. Edit: another file attached. The first one has raster graphic typography which makes it 20 euro more expensive. This one is the 32 euro file.
  16. designed a ponoko case for SEQ4Light (in SEQ forum)

Cant wait! when will it arrive?

  17. Hello SEQV4Light-fans, I designed a Ponoko case for the SEQV4Light. At the moment that means: I have an EPS file on the medium size P2 template that gets accepted by Formulor.de. I used the same box generator as smokestackproductions in this thread and copied all other elements in from existing templates for seq4 and seq4light. thanks to you all! If anyone sees any obvious errors, I'd appreciate to hear about them very much. Feel free to use the file, but as I did not test it yet, I wont guarantee any success. I will order one from formulor most likely next weekend, including any error corrections you recommend me. The current price at formulor.de is 32 euros, add taxes and shipping.
  18. now i have 3 Sids VROM old c64 two 6581 and one 8580. And great retro casings too. Five SIDS to go!

  19. Hello Trey, A working SEQv4light needs a control surface (pcb with buttons & LEDs) an SD card adapter plus a core board (pcb with midi in & outs, USB, connector and the processor) and a psu of course, all parts properly connected. There are complete kits available with all parts for core boards. Soldering a core means put the kit together. Then the parts need to be mounted in a nice case. What I have on sale is only one part:the control surface. It is on sale because I want to build the large version seqv4.
  20. I have a seq v4light control surface for sale plus an sd card dock and I don't mind soldering a core for Trey. Based in NL.
  21. Pm sent.
  22. I hope i'm on the list for the Feb 13 batch... No reply from Wilba yet.
  23. No qs300 Voices on the NEC XR385 clones. http://launch.groups...r/message/33487 I programmed QS support but to no end.. If someone wants to test the beta software with a real db50xg, PM me.
  24. Bummer! Qs300 Voices only on real db50xg's not on NEC clones..
