  1. hE HE no ebay ;) I got boxes of them cluttering my studio Ian
  2. Rowan If you need some relays.....I have hundreds......surface mount. 5 and 6 volt. Actually I have thousands :o :o You are welcome to all you want if you go that way. Regards Ian
  3. Jesaiplu............I will only be placing another order if the numbers get up. So far there's not many wanted. What I meant was that, from your post, you said you only wanted maybe 2 - 3 detented encoders. At present I am able to offer you 2- 3 from what I have left. Hope this is clearer Ian
  4. Jesaiplu If you only need 2-3 detented I can help out. Ian
  5. Thanks again for that syx Matt The encoder now selects pretty much 1 for 1 with the detent. Got it in the box. Just a tricky dicks sloping panel with no labels :-/ It's so self explanitary that I did'nt bother. I think a nice wide jog wheel would be nice tho. Cheers Ian
  6. Yip, Yip Tk.....Does this mean you are the boffin or geek head :o :o :o ;) Ian.......Geek :)
  7. No probs Steve. I have sent you a mail re those encoders. I had no trouble getting rid of them :o I have a number left now for my own creations. I will be mailing you shortly to nick your syx for the LC and find out all about which buttons you did and did'nt use. All the best Ian
  8. Thanks TK I never really noticed the transpose but I will change it anyway. Best Ian
  9. Also this too for the adaption to your encoders you need to change: mios_tables.inc: the correct encoder type (detented or non-detented main.asm: set CS_MENU_USE_DETENTED_ENCODER to 1 if you are using a detented encoder for the menu cs_menu.inc: the CS_MENU_EncSpeedSet function allows you to totally customize the encoder behaviour - however, changes shouldn't be necessary there Mebbe this helps Ian
  10. This from TK when I had enuff of Fekkin MPLAB Ian My advice: don't use MPLAB as it makes everything more complicated than required The main.asm file can be assembled directly with MPASM: MPLAB IDE/MCHIP_Tools/mpasmwin.exe Just click on this program (make a shortcut on your desktop) and load the main.asm file. The result will be a "main.hex" file which can be converted within the DOS shell by executing "convert.bat" (Perl must be installed) to a main.syx file. The source files (main.asm and all *.inc and *.h files) are editable with your favourite text editor. I prefer emacs, but there are also some other usefull editors especially for Windows available on the net. Especially "code highlighting" is an important feature, so that comments can be regognized easier. Best Regards, Thorsten.
  11. There's gotta be enuff boffin head geeks ;) ;) ;) ;) ::) He he ;D That could get those things to work eh ? Ian
  12. Hi Steve Yeah, Nat mailed me about getting a swag himself and wanted to know if it was ok by me for him to do so. Very considerate I must say. No worries eh Anyhoo I figured I would see how many Aussies might still want some. I am ok too if people would like to get some from Nat, it saves me from doing it ;). After supplying KR8R with 16 pushbutton then I have only enough to make my LC. So another order, after his would, have to be made to keep up. A minimum of 100 can be purchsed so that's not too bad. Anyway you guys get some numbers sorted and if you decide on another order then that's cool. I will give you the contact in China if you wish. That will make them very attractive for you guys ;D I have not pushed these things much past Aussie cause I think Tim might be going to sort an order for up the top half. Best Ian
  13. Hi there all. I posted a thread some time back re getting use of the " SIDSTATION"patches that are available from the Elektron site. Does anyone know how to get the MB SID to understand these patches ? They are syx files. But hat's all I can help with :P It would be nice to add to our collection from that. Ian
  14. Ok ...........the pile of encoders has gone down somewhat. In fact the switch type are just about gone :'( and I have only used 1 so far :'( My SID rocks with it though ;D I have had more enquiries for these things so I am thinking to put together another order of perhaps another 100 switched type. If I can get some idea of numbers then ................ This means you Clae, Kr8r etc . I see there are a few more Aussies up on the community too. So word them up bout it and I'll stitch it together. Regards Ian
  15. Kr8r what type........there are two........one has a switch pushbutton. The other is just rotary....both detented Ian
  16. And it goes good too ;D ;D Some nice sequence patches too So how to add an encoder to control the overall output without scrolling to the vol parameter. Any ideas or just vary the input to the base of the output transistor with a pot ? Ideas? Ian
  17. Hi there I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that the continuos stream is probably a fault in your board etc rather than the pots being log. Thing is that the log pots still vary the resistance only they don't react on a linear scale. That is the resistance does'nt change consistantly from one end to the other. The resistance will tend to ramp up quickly towards one end..Not good for controlling stuff. Y ;ou must check and recheck what you've done. :'( It's happened to practically everyone on this community. ;) ;) Have a good nose and you'll find it. ;D All the best Ian
  18. First edit I think cause it was pretty biased towards picbasic....which is not really assembly......That's the main reason I binned it. Not very current. Best Ian
  19. Get into lad...it's good stuff..sounds like you got the time. Should'nt take you long depending on where u get yo bits. Gotta make it quick cause them updates come thick and fast. ;) ;) Right Steve ? I've made 1 mb64 in two years :o :o Thing is that with mios there ar'nt to many changes to come now just treats. ;D
  20. Yep.......he just the same Shawn. JDM works fine as is on the site. Same pinouts etc. Just download the latest version of icprog. Remember the 18f uses a 10mhz xtal not 20 as for the 16f. Later Ian
  21. How good are you ? ;) Ian
  22. mmm..I threw that book out. :o Anyhoo just thought you'd like to know is all. Best Ian
  23. Hi Jim I chased all around to find some learning goodies for pics and assembly. Follow this link to a place that sets it all out real good and totally understandable. I have subscribed to this site and found it invaluable. theres a bunch of good stuff on pics without the sub too ;D http://talkingelectronics.com/ All the best Ian
  24. U know all....there is a perfectly good chat thingy going on these days for midibox. So far I have only found three others up there. ??? Follow the thread under chat in this subject and get up there for a yarn eh ;) ;) good value Best Ian
