  1. Hey there Steve Well I have never tried to run 2 Sblive's in the pc. I have a delta 44 and the live in there. I get the the Live for $65 nz..nice. ;D I hav'nt done too much on my LC. Just still gettin my head round the layout and drawing the .dxf for the laser. I am going to drop a complete keyboard ( pc ) in the thing as well. ;) I will be ordering my encoders / buttons etc next week. Man ....that's a lot of buttons though. Over a hundred at last count !!!! :o ;D Using 4 / 2x40 lcd's Be a while yet but I will keep you lot posted. I'm going to do a mess of PCB's this weekend and start on one of those multi port midi router's. Got my sample PICS from Microchip last week....yippee. There's plenty to do and make :-/ :-/ hard to know which one to do next ??? Wot about you ? what you making ? where in aus are you and GO THE WARRIORS ;) ;) :D Ian
  2. Get your old man to download eagle from the site. Then send him the .brd files for the boards you want. he can print them out 1 / 1 from that and also can choose just what you want to be printed. ;D Ian
  3. Really depends on the components you are using but as a guide. I use anything from 0.5mm for some components, mostly the smaller ones. And up to 0.6 - 0.8 for some pins like on the sockets and voltage reg's Ian
  4. Yo boys are just comedians ;) You guys are geeks Dan & Matt :P :P Dan,s social life went out the window when he over exposed the coffee table :o :o ;D How many's that now..................... :'( Over and out
  5. How smooth is your PS. Got some fat cat caps on him ? Ian

  9. The 7805 is rated to supply 1 amp. It's only going to suck as much as it can give. Should slap a heatsink on him though. Mine get hot when they'r doin nothin. :o :o :o I got a nice 15volt 1 amp wallwart with your name on it. Let me know and I'll courier it to your work. ;) Ian
  10. Good question B I did the same thing. I watched the patches dump into the core but it does'nt seem to retain them. It works with my bankstick though ??? I can send prog changes from logic and see the number change on the lcd but still the spaces are empty. Ian :)
  11. They are just momentary's. That's all the switch on the touch sensor of a touch sensitive fader is. Use the same buttons as you have used elsewhere on your panel or wotever ian
  12. Hi You can get the boards and all the components complete from I think Chris's shop which is on the site here somewhere. Ok I found it http://www.mikes-elektronikseite.de/midiseite.htm You can get all the goodies there. With regard to the box. If you want a nice box then draw it and get the holes laser cut and then panel folded at a metal shop. Do you know someone who can draw with CAD /CadKEY. They can output a dxf file for this. I would offer to draw your panel ( for no charge ) but components are very different due to availability in different countries. It does'nt take a whole lot to put together a real nice job. ;) There a plenty of peeps on here that will point you in the right direction. All the best Ian
  13. Ok..........so I had a little nap this afternoon........... I did'nt think it was that long though. :o :o Ian
  14. Hi Scott This is from the SID page. You might find it usefull. The two caps between Pin 1/2 and 3/4 of the SID are required by the filter. The ideal values may differ with the SID version you are using, so it's possibly a good idea not only to purchase the recommended 470 pF caps for 6581, 6.8nF caps for 8580 (which have been taken from the original schematics), but also some other pairs: 1nF, 2.2nF, 4.7nF - just to check for any better result. Good luck Ian
  15. Hi Steve Ian in Auckland Get up to the microchip site and order your free samples ;D
  16. There is a diagram that relates to the fader takeover button thingy on the site somewhere ;D Ian
  17. Wahooo........looks like you gonna need some more holes in that box Dan  :o Don't be teasin now TK ;) Ian
  18. Man..........that made me chuckle......... ;D ;D ;D ;D Nice touch JS Ian
  19. Nice 8)
  20. When I built my first TKSID the SID chips at elektron were at 234. I wonder If these guys will produce the SID Station empty for use with your own scavenged chip ? But 900 euro......phew !! Ian
  21. Yep that's what I had in mind Frank 8) Seems reasonable to me. I will do just the same for my XT part also. I had another plan too that I would maybe fit a standard computer keyboard in my super mixer box. While I am drawing the dxf for laser it is not an issue. What say you Cheers Ian
  22. Hi TK Yeah I know I said only one more question ;) I will use two 2 x 40 lcd's on my LC. In your experience can the data for each channel be placed in the lcd where required. ie above each fader strip ? In this case I suppose 4 channels of information per lcd ? Thanks Ian
  23. Oh yeah ;D ;D ;D ;D
  24. Thanks TK for that information. I guessed something like this may occur. Regards Ian
  25. That is cool and clear for me too now TK. There have been many changes but now I can settle to my complete LC. I Have only one question. If I use the remaining dins left over from the XT module for encoders as pans aux etc will this have any impact on the function of logic with the LC. Or is it as simple as not navigating with the LC to get pan or aux control and just use the extra inputs mapped to those funtions instead ...............Make sense ? :-/ Is this then split mode ? Mmmmm...coloured brochure.....sounds nice ;) ;) Cool Ian
