  1. that's a freakin cool idea. DIY PIC18F Digital Oscilloscope There's a starter. Obviously you'd have to cut this down a LOT
  2. I reckon. it's more the voltage transitions, than the click, which is mechanical (which is good because we can remove them hehehe) But you've got the idea :)
  3. IIC MIDI module minus the opto could do the trick too. Can't the DB50 emulate a TG300?
  4. Good programming of both the kit an the patterns is a must, as is compression, used right... Not really a mastering thing tho. Let's put it like this... Real drummers don't need any EQ or compression to do it, nor should you :)
  5. Sorry mate! I think I based it on build 58 or something... I'll fix it as soon as I'm done with the unread posts ;)
  6. I use a JDM to burn my pics, as does Wilba I think, and a bunch of others... The PIC Burner module was designed due to problems with the JDM, but not too long ago, some members of this forum found PICpgm and WinPIC800 and they both work well with the JDM.
  7. Yeh I am :) I'm from Perth but live in Melbourne now. There's a few of us Aussies around here... I think I can safely say that we'd all rather be in Bali right now :) For international readers, Bali is to Australia, as Ibiza is to the UK, and Cancun is to the USA... Mmmmm, beaches.
  8. That's probably more commonly known as a trigger signal than a clock... The CV/Gate Out on the AOUT might be bang on? I'll leave this to the analog gurus around here I think...
  9. Oh and don't forget to say hi to your neighbour - indonesian ......guys
  10. Sorry it took a while to answer... I figured maybe someone else from Indo might answer first, then when I figured it wouldn't happen, I piped up. RS Components Singapore eBay Singapore Try google mate! :)
  11. I will go easy, because I had to refine the search three times to get useful results... But use the search engine :P Midibox Link question R6 vs Gameport to J11 internal connection to msid or mbseq possible? And the really good one.... Final design questions I think I will use searching for those posts as my wiki search-engine-how-to document. They're there, but it took some trickery to find them. Hope they help :) Where are you nomical? :)
  12. Relax guys... Moogah has reserved some for us as it says, as have I. Those forums have admin approval to avoid spammers and idiots. It's a necessary evil.
  13. I'm sure you could use an AOUT but it's probably easier to use a pin on the PIC... SID_WT_Branch_Play ;; send MIDI clock if enabled for synchronization of external sequencers or similar movlw 0xf8 BIFSET SID_MIDI_SYNC, SID_MIDI_SYNC_SEND_CLK, BANKED, call MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut SET_BSR SID_BASE Only place I could find it sending MIDI Clock... I'm sure that can't be right. Wilba will chime in and correct me any minute I'm sure ;) Anyway, you just need to insert the lines to set and clear the pin. Are we talking about sync24? PS An amusing conversation that just happened here: ME: <typing away furiously> GF: What you doing, honey? ME: Uhm... Just helping out with some SID programming thingy for this guy <points at the screen> GF: Oh... Writing love letters to Wilba huh. :P ::) Smartarse! LMAO
  14. Yeh cheap untested encoders could be a risk. They could be faulty, but encoders support in MIOS needs to be configured differently for different models. Have a search around for info on what to try, this has been covered for other different encoders eg smash and voti encoders
  15. I was working on this with someone a while back but the boards are rare and pricey and I didn't get far without one ;) Good luck man!
  16. You could find dozens of manufacturers who would be willing to do a run of custom LCD's with google, but trust me, you won't be able to afford it. Maybe you could find out the part numbers for the spare LCDs from a commercial controller. I don't mean the manufacturer of the part, but the manufacturer of the desk. Of course you'd need to pull apart all the controllers to find one which had the LCD on it's own assembly, and not with other parts included... Then you'd need to find an nameised service center that was willing to order for you... Give up dude ;)
  17. Why not a USB to parallel convertor? The docking station/port replicator will have a LPT port too... Both are way cheeaper...
  18. I'm in 1000's for mine so far.... Just the opposite end of the scale ::)
  19. Hey cheater you know the PCD8544 is already supported by MIDIbox?
  20. btfsc SPEAKJET_BHFULL_PORT, SPEAKJET_BHFULL_PIN Is there a buffer full pin?
  21. Check for soldering errors on the DINs and core perhaps, and remove some encoders and DINs if you can.
  22. Hi Professor Mike :) There's a few more in there for those of us with unusual tastes now... Re: MBSEQ V3 talk Found some brief Ardley snippets but nothing complete... Stupid record stores have like 1000 copies of BackStreet Boys though hehehe
  23. Finally!!! Sorry for the wait guys. Please let me know if you see any errors or have any requests or whatever :) seq_scale.inc
  24. Something in the system that is not included in your drawing...
