  1. <Looks at qbas, the only person to actually successfully do this> ;) I'd help but if I don't finish the seq scale tables soon, all the beta testers will bash me :P
  2. punctuation is for the weak I say hehehe ;D You make good point though mate. Not only can dyslexia cause a lot of difficulties, but of course this is a community where there are people who are from countries where English is not the native language, so I should take the 'language barrier' into account when I make the tutorial.
  3. It's officially on my to-do list... which is running very late as usual :(
  4. I bet you clever mob will know the answer to this: Ignoring 3D routing and milling, just for 2D stuff like our panels...Before CNC ... What was the tool called? I seem to remember seeing a thing like a table that had handles on the end that would allow you to move the table along the X and Y axis by moving them... Kinda like working a giant etch-a-sketch heheh Reason I ask is, we all know CNC can be expensive (FPE app priced my panels at over a grand last week), but using a drill press can be cumbersome and inaccurate...I figure there must be a middle-ground, and I wanna know what it's called so I can hit eBay already ;)
  5. Yep :) Bit = Pin 0 = 7 1 = 6 2 = 5 3 = 4 4 = 3 5 = 2 6 = 1 7 = 0
  6. Sure are :) You can find more info on smashtv's website, including historical information about previous versions, just look at the bottom of the page.
  7. ;D hahahahahahahaa You're as funny as you are punctuation shy :)

    Freebay

I would give these a good home, but I would be greedy to snap up a freebie, I'm lucky enough to have a job that pays OK and I'd rather see the free goddies go to someone who needs them more than me... But if noone else pipes up, I'll grab them :)
  9. Thx QBAS that's good stuff hey!
  10. Hmmm... if it's only two buttons... I reckon you could run a good quality shielded wire up to a metre or so, to a very small pod with just the switches, and have the core (no DIN required) somewhere more convenient (like on your belt or tied to the chair's back or something). I was thinking, a SPDT momentary toggle [eg (ON)-OFF-(ON)] could be mounted in the front panel of all your guitars (just one hole to drill), and a jack on the back (one more hole) could connect that to a shielded wire running to the core. That way you can have a remote box that you could tie anywhere with a strap, or have the switch built into the axe, and you can sit the guts of the box somewhere more convenient. Is this making any sense? Electronics guru types do you reckon this would be OK? I can't imagine that the noise involved would be enough to interrupt a DIN (maybe an AIN, but) and the resistance of the wire shouldn't be too much, right? Maybe using the DIN module would help this be driven more cleanly?
  11. Sorry I took so long to reply, my browser crashed, and this was one of 6 replies I lost :( Yeh this is a fair place to ask, but if you look in the link at the top: That's also the 3rd from the bottom in the results for a search for posts from Artesia conatining the word "button". The ones from the MBFM/MBSID hybrid are also mentioned in that thread, and there is a mention of pay_c having the original idea, and if you look for that, you'll also find my post about a good source for the tubing around the tacts. Now, I could go away and find these things and post them, or artesia could answer the questions, but the answers are already there, just a little search away :) It has occurred to me that it does help to use the search engine in a certain way... Maybe a wiki tutorial with pictures is in order?
  12. Thanks tilted for taking care of typing it out in a more clear fashion :) Yeh, Left-to-right order is otherwise known as "Big Endian" because you read starting from the end with the big numbers, and "little endian" is when you are reading from right to left; from the little end. It's all explained in the wikipedia article I linked to in that tip :)
  13. Lookin good man :) Needs labels ;D
  14. Yeh do it man :)
  15. One of our products has a sticker on it which says DUHHHHHHHHHHHH I thought it was so silly I stuck it to the back of my ID card. I swear it makes me laugh every time :)
  16. Looks good bro :) I'll sort out the English where needed right now.
  17. Maybe thi PIC ID has become corrupted and it's sending the midi and lcd elsewhere... Reburn?
  18. I'm pretty sure Artesia already talked about the seq buttons before, and definitely the buttons on this box have been discussed before by both artesia and I. Use the search, luke.
  19. Yeh I like November too for the same reasons. Unfortunately all the motivation in the world won't help me find the right buttons or work to pay the rent :(
  20. http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=c_tips_and_tricks_for_pic_programming#c_functions Is it that?
  21. Search for Wilba's recent post on SID CS mods and follow the same logic.
  22. Does look nice... A touchscreen with jsynthlib might do the trick though?
  23. Don't worry guys the 80's fashion fad will come to and end before long and they'll reappear.
  24. It's not been done before and should be possible.... But have you considered the mechanics involved? knobs and buttons protude from the face panel, so the hinge would have to also. Probably easier to rackmount it....
  25. Oooh it's out! Source code package 070211
