  1. This is why I always discourage people from using their own web host. SOOOOO MANY great DIY projects have been lost this way :'( Use the wiki!
  2. Now it's included ;) OK because the columns are wired in series we can instantly tell it's not there... Your voltage tests and swapping pots confirms this well....But what about the wires going to the AIN jumpers, the AIN board and it's IC's? You should read MRE's post and check it out... Here's an outline of what kind of thing to do: Swap over the wires running from the pots to the board Eg D0<->D1 If it changes, there's your problem, otherwise swap the 4051's If it changes' there's your problem, otherwise look for soldering problems on the board etc etc How many pots in total are we talking about here? how many 4051's do you have stuffed in how many AINx4 boards?
  3. holy cow! So now I know what the mysterious kII is :)
  4. Yeh I guess it does seem a bit strange... Maybe we're just spoiled in midibox land ;)
  5. There are notes there such as the above for one example, which give a hint about how the switch works. You should consider that if he helps you out, he has to help everyone. He has to draw a line somewhere, before he would be spending too much time helping people out. If you spend some time looking at the schematic, and the schem it is based on (linked at the top) you can find out which parts of the circuit do what, and how the switch mixes them.
  6. Yeh if you do it that way, you might need to enable the "don't use feedback from core" option I think... Because upload requests could get busted up by the UART bug. But that doesn't explain why the core is sending upload requests... What's the LCD showing during all the different stages of this? The 4620 shouldn't draw more power but 7.5V is the minimum that I'd say was OK. What about if you disconnect the LTC?
  7. Props!! I hope you'll document all this in the future :) PS W is Wilba :)
  8. You need an IIC_MIDI module, and you will need to set the correct PIC ID accordingly.
  9. Do you want a second instance, which is at TTL level, of the Core DIN MIDI out OR Do you want a second midi interface which is separate from the main out, but TTL only? OR Something else?
  10. Why bother when smash does such a good job? ;)
  11. I didn't have much luck with it :( I found my part by visiting the individual sites though... Obviously the DB is out of date. If it were generated in realtime, and did the salvage/excess/2nd hand/distributor sites as well, this would rock.
  12. Thanks man. I sent shipping enquiries to one in the UK and one in the US :)
  13. Yeh, not really a commodore, just a white box, high spec, with some pretty gfx on the case... If the price is right they might sell, but I doubt it, and it seems that all that the new machines have in common with our beloved c64 is the logo anyway :(
  14. Hopefully I got it right this time hehehe I had to get creative to get some of the scale names within 20 chars, I hope the abbreviations aren't too messy :) Edit: Made pretty formatting. I don't think anyone downloaded it yet anyway seq_scale.inc seq_scale.inc
  15. F22 Raptor Hey you should wait for other people to post, it's just a handful of people playing, give it a break :)
  16. Yeh I think what I'm trying to say is, Garbage In, Garbage Out... I just didn't want to say it like that ;) Point is, your breaks should roll all by themselves, the mixing/mastering/fx/etc should be secondary..
  17. I can be a tangle sometimes :) But really you should get on google, and have a look around. Wikipedia will help a lot (edit: beaten!)
  18. Yeh I think Aussies got freaked by the bombings. It's pretty daft really. I built an oldschool midibox+ and a couple of synths with a mate, started on a mb64 but lost it, and I've got 2 FM's, 2 8xSIDs (or maybe an 8x and a 16xSID with v2) a SEQv3 and my own project on the way... I've been hanging around here on and off for a long time, and I work with computers, so it's becaming more natural for me, but nonetheless it can be pretty full on. If you read and read and read and read and read you'll get the hang of it :)
  19. Bongo's are really handy for this, or a single snare, marching band style...
  20. I'll get on board just as soon as I find one. I'm gutted that I slept on the one that just went on ebay yesterday for 50$ !!
  21. 96ppqn baby! ;D
  22. Yeh all very true! :D
  23. First google hit for "DIP package" is correct. In fact the whole first page is! I don't mean to seem rude, honestly, but it seems like you didn't even try? Everyone here is happy to help but you should show some initiative to encourage us :)
