  1. Yeh how dope is it.... I'd snap one up in a second, if only it had more I/O options :(( quad stereo/8x mono on that thing....mmmm :)
  2. I swear I remember TK dropping a hint about a VCF module for the SID....
  3. ooh preeetty ;D
  4. Not a bad idea...At the moment I generally just post it in the thread that's related to the person's good deeds...
  5. Just don't try and run Win2K or XP and you'll be right ;)

D'OH!!! :( Thanks for link man :) ... shame they only got 2x 6581's in stock! d'oh again!
  8. Count me in...
  9. What a f*cking rort.... So what's the difference? How do you define "help" anyway? Nah this is just a way for people to bend the rules to suit their situation...
  10. CONGRATS!! ;D ;D ;D
  11. I just noticed that my reply never made it to here... Repost--- <quote> I think it's quite clear where the boundaries are, no? </quote> Definitely :) hehehehe (sarcasm) <quote> If i design a midibox for my own use and have someone else make it (even if that someone is making profit out of it) is that a violation then? </quote> <quote> Where can I buy your stuff? All the applications of www.uCApps.de are non-profit projects which are not for sale. </quote> :-/
  12. Why this smaller switch vs the AD8113JST?
  13. Well if you're gonna sell one facet of the box why not just sell the whole thing? Heck why not just start a production line.... :P Nah I don't like it hey... Too much of a fuzzy grey area... Honestly I say this because I reckon I could make a fricken killing off of making MB boxe$ and $elling them, but I know it's wrong, so I say fight it...
  14. Yeh, they'd love some more competition ;D
  15. I dunno about those devices, looks a lot harder than using that IC :-/ Definitely handy though! They're been bookmarked, thanks again Rowan :)
  16. All sounds possible... I'm not good with the electronics side of it so I'm not sure what would be required to get MIOS talking to peizo's, but I'm sure it would be possible and probably quite easy... And the coding part of it wouldn't be too rough either... Have you done any programming before (particularly in ASM)?
  17. Firstly, Rowan, MISO is a soup. I tried it with LCD's once but it was too crunchy ;) heheheh I read that you can get 40x4, but I've never seen anything larger than 40 rows... As Pilo said, I think that's a limitation of the chipset... I wonder if there would be a practical way to run dual LCD's side-by-side?
  18. How the *&^% is that going to be policed? I mean, I could get parts in bulk, and hence cheaper, make a few up for "friends" and charge them for my labour and for full-price parts... Suddenly I'm in business making MIOS boxes :o :-/ :'( >:( It's a very interesting little grey area isn't it...
  19. Thanks for the tip Rowan :D :D Good on ya mate
  20. Just a thought for a possible cheaper solution, we could use the encoders with inbuilt pushbutton switches and tell MIOS to change parameters according to the button state... Push encoder in, Change boost/cut, dont push in, change frequency... Someone else was talking about this before in another thread...
  21. OK, lets make it real simple. Avoid USB. It's buggy. Avoid Macintosh-related vendors (EMagic, Steinberg, MOTU). They make buggy drivers for PC's. Avoid smaller vendors that don't have enough resources to support such a complex device. See above. Once you do this you'll find out that you don't really have many options... If any at all... Have fun :(
  22. Bluetooth, nice idea..... Seeing as noone will tell me the secret to finding IC's for a specific purpose ;) :P ... Any suggestions on IC's for bluetooth, anyone?
  23. Count me in, schemer ;)
  24. Holy cow dude, that's a bit nice! :D
