Hello fellow board members. How hard would it be to set up a Mackie HUI emulation with MIOS. I am really not a programmer or anything so the form looks Greek to me. I was just wondering, because it would relaly be nice to use midibox with Pro Tools. Help anyone???

This would be grat if Pro Tools actually supported the Mackie Clone. What Pro Tools supports is the Mackie HUI. If we could get together and make an HUI emu, then that would be great. Maybe I will start a new thread about that, being a Pro Tools user. Help Thorston.

okay I understand that, but what is the bb variation for the firmware. It says something about bank select buttons instead of switches.

yes, i downloaded the new schematic, what i need to know is what pins do the Bank Buttons connect to?

My plan is to build the Mackie Control. I understand that the functionality between the MC and the LC is pretty much the same. The question that I need answering is I see all the LC software here, but how do I convert that to MC or is it the same. And is anyone using the LC or MC with Pro Tools, because I understand that Mackie Control is now supporting Pro Tools, but it seems to be an update with the Mackie stuff and not the Pro Tools stuff. I am a little lost here and I would really like to get some feedback from u guys. I guess what I am asking is does the LC software handle the MC emulation also? Help!!! By the way this is one great site.

I just finished building my midibox plus circut on vectorboard and that sucks. My question is is there anyway to wire up bank select buttons. I see that in the firmware, but how would I wire them in, because that is not in the schematics. Any help is appreciated.

I have a pic16 and pic 18. I would like to build the Midibox Plus and Mackie Control. I have already built the Midibox Plus on vectorboard and I am waiting on Smash to start selling PCBs for the MC. I would like to know if someone can burn a couple of PICs for me, as I am itching to test the Plus. Thanks for the help. Jerod

well i think i see, I open up those files with a text editor an edit them. then how do I turn them into syx files for uploading to the PIC? Sorry to soulnd dumb on this, but I am a newbie.

are these settings available by editing the software with the midi box, or do i alter the code on a computer then upload it onto the PIC.
