  1. can a small midibox application be built using the 16f874 and MBHP. I would like to use the midibox 64 firmware, I will use 16 pots and 10 buttons. I would just like to reuse the 16f from my midibox plus. And i feel that it would be a waste to use a 18f for this small of an application. Can anyone help with this question?
  2. anytime, if you need a connection diagram see mbhp introduction.
  3. u would need to build a custom midibox64. like i said in the last post. you can use your core, 1 ain, 1 din. use the mb64 firmware and clamp all unused ains to ground. i will be soon building something similiar. hope this helps.
  4. What you can do is build the MB64, you can use this with as few pots and buttons as you need. For e3xample the MB+ can be realized with the MB64 design. Just use one core, one din, one ain, one LTC. The ltc is optional. Then you wouild use 16 pots, 8 buttons. Or you could use 32 pots and 32 buttons, do you get my drift. Just don't forget to clamp all unused ain inputs to ground.
  5. Smash I'd be glad to. I have most of the parts laying around. I'll get to the mouser order for the rest so as you say it's a go.
  6. Actually I'm trying to get all of the controllers together to send to you. I am gonna try to get a HUI unit from the local music store for "testing" ;D ;DThis way I can run through midi-ox and get all of the controllers for all of the functions. I can get the controllers from pro tools and send them to you, but this will not cover shifting banks and so forth. Maybe there is someone else in the forum who can give a hand with this. I will try and get the contrills that i can get to you by the end of this week. Thanks for the help Thorston. This is one great site. So i guess there is no way to test this with Vmidibox until I pound together my LC ???

  8. Well I think I have figured some of the Protocol out for the HUI surface. It seems as though motorfader positions are sent using 2 corresponding CC. Example: for fader one Midi Ox shows. b0 00 position b0 20 position Is there anyway to program this into MIOS. If so Thorston could you please post an example. I haven't pounded together my MB yet, but I would really like to know if this is possible. Also is there anyway to make this work with Vmidibox. :-/ :-/?? The final thing that I have noticed is that HUI interface sends a note on message constantly for the computer to respond to. That should be no problem for the MIOS code correct?? I'm a programming dummy, but a fast learner, so with a few examples i think i could figure this thing out. The buttons also send two events. Haven't got that far yet though as I am cheating this thing without the control surface.

  10. Yeah I got to get my hands on a Motor mix or HUI. That's the tricky part. :-[ :-[ :-[

  12. Yeah If I could get my hands on the protocol for the CM motormix then I would be in business. The problem is none of these companys want to share. :'( :'( :'( But that is not unexpected.

  14. I have the protocol to the JL cooper box. I would hate to be limited with the Mackie Control box. With a midibox i can control many different platforms. I guess I can build LC and use different banks, one for Pro Tools and then LC protocol for Cubase SX which I use at my home studio.

  16. Hey I would like to know where to get some good button covers.
  17. Yeah, the problem with the special code is that no one can get the protocol for HUI. I guess my best bet will be to build a MB64 and use the JL Cooper CS-10 protocol. The bad side of that is no motorfaders. :-[ :-[ :-[
