I just finished my SID. However I am getting only noise from it. Also with the interconnect test, All pins are meauring 1.34v whether they are selected or not. Is my SID chip dead????? MIOS 1.7 with SID 1.6 and the hardware mods have been performed.

hmmm, maybe there are 470pf caps on the c64 board, oh yeah there they are!!!! Any objections to using these?????

Would it be okay to use ceramic caps for filter caps on SID, just for testing purposes. I have ceramics, but will have to order poly. And I want to get the SID running this weekend.

should the clock input measure a voltage, if so what voltage are you getting. I am having similar problems with my din. But what is happening is when the 7th and 8th shift registers are plugged in all other button on the din stop working. If i unsolder the clock line to these the other buttons work fine. I have checked and checked my soldering. maybe there is something I am missing???

Someone please help. My DIN is not working after the 5th shift register. The problem is when the sixth register is plugged in nothing after the 4th register works. Someone please give me suggestions. All works fine as long as I don't have the 6th register plugged in. :(

i am willing to bet you have a bad chip

did you use the premade pcb. or veroboard. My din is on veroboard, but I have traced everything with no good results. I really have no idea of whats going on but it looks like it is easy to destroy the shift registers. ti.com for samples, so it will not cost you any money.

which mios program are you using. I am having some similar problems also.
