  1. Serges VMidiBox doesen't support the PIC18 based MIOS architecture: http://www.ucapps.de/howto_tools_syxedit_18f.html So here is the way how to do it: http://www.ucapps.de/howto_tools_mbsyx.html MIOS always remains the same. There is only one Version for all applications. I think using a Bankstick is the easiest solution. Otherwise you would have to load your configurations over MIDI SysEx every time you wanna change the application. Raphael
  2. The modes are set in mios_tables.inc. Pleas read the comments of TK in this file. From main.asm: ; This DIN map allows you to customize the MB64E application to different hardwares ; The MB64E dump structure allows the use of up to 64 buttons, they are grouped to 8 buttons per shift register ; Define the used shift registers for the buttons here ; the shift registers are counted from one - means: 1 for the first, 2 for the second, etc... ; mark unused button groups with 0 ;; NOTE: by default, the first two DIN shift registers are used for the encoders #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_01_08 2 #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_09_16 3 #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_17_24 1 #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_25_32 4 #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_33_40 9 #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_41_48 10 #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_49_56 11 #define DEFAULT_DIN_SR_PIN_57_64 12 Hard to believe... These settings are discussed in so many forum threads! Raphael
  3. So have fun with your SID ;D ;D ;D
  4. What do you mean with "now" ??? here is the difference to your first setup? Could you give any more details? Like at which pins you connect what and so on.... In general: Recheck your PCB for bad soldering or solder joints again and again and....
  5. http://jackit.sourceforge.net/
  6. What PSU are you using? Which Voltage is dropping: 12/9V or 5V? When you connect 12/9V and 5V to the SID only, what do you get?
  7. 'A' normally means a linear pot. So this seams OK. Sorry, but I have no idea what could be wrong. The ADC seems only to work from 3,X V upwards ???
  8. Hallo! Raphael
  9. There was a article in the german computer magazine some years ago. I've posted a link to this article: http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=5014.msg31289#msg31289
  10. Why are you using the CBX serial driver ??? Done all tests? http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_jdm.html
  11. Promising ;D ;D ;D
  12. Four messages up I've posted the link to the datasheet. Just scroll up ;)

    Mios

http://www.ucapps.de/mios_changelog.html Always take the latest one --> V1.8 There is only one hex-file in the MIOS package: mios_v1_8.hex Take this one! And what are you talking about JDM and MIOS ??? Just burn the Bootstrap loader with your JDM (http://www.ucapps.de/mios_bootstrap.html) and upload MIOS via MIDI (Best way is MIOSStudio: http://miosstudio.midibox.org/) When the Bootloader is burned all right you can Upload MIOS and applications via MIDI as often as you want to. Rapael
  14. Yes, it has. Look at the pictures on the core page. The metal side has to point to the PIC chip. Raphael
  15. Hmm... As there is no PCB for this project available, it's not to easy for beginers. To answer your questions: IC2 is a voltage regulator which produces the 5V out of the 12-13V at J2. So just connect all the other pins with a +5V (e.g. IC3-pin14,R12, R11...) to Pin 3 of IC2. Like i wrote above, ther are no +5V coming out of IC3. The +5V are comming from IC2. Normally there are no different symbols for voltage sources and sinks in schematics. So you have to know at least what the ICs are doing to unterstand how it works. Raphael
  16. Right ;D
  17. Right. Please use always the latest version which is V1.8. Just upload the HEX-File via MIDI. Your core should reboot automatically after upload and the LCD will show "READY". Take the 8580 file or just recompile the hole stuff with your desired settings and thake the main.asm file. Yes, but this should happen automatically after a successful upload. Yes, should work after MIOS and app installation. Raphael
  18. Seems, that your firmware doesn`t run on 16f877. Have you included the right header: p16f877.inc instead of p16f874.inc? Also look at make.bat. It is compiled with /16f874. (Don't know if this is important). I'm no expert in porting apps from PIC to PIC. Someone else? Raphael
  20. You're right, but you cannot have MF and AIN at the same time (the same connection (J5) is used for MF analog in and AIN module analog in). So either 8 Motorfaders or 64 pots. Raphael
  21. Glückwunsch ;D ;D ;D
  22. Puh, ich war schon sehr froh, als ich meine 2 endlich richtig verlötet hatte :) Mir fällt leider nichts mehr dazu ein... Wer anders? Oder doch mal im englischen Forum fragen. Raphael
  23. Google is your friend ;): http://www.leopardcats.com/bbpokey/breadboard_pokey_project.htm --> http://www.leopardcats.com/bbpokey/pokey.pdf Raphael
