  2. Hey, I'm not Thorsten ;) But the release of MB64e V2.1 was definitely before the release of MIOS 1.7 (with the hardware change). So I think it should work without MIOS 1.7 and the hardware change. Otherwise the hardware change is that easy (just resoldering one wire) that you should really change to the new design and the latest MIOS version. So even if it doesn't seem to be a MIOS version problem I would give the V1.7 a try... Raphael P.S: Sice MIOS1.7 my LED-Rings are much brighter ;D

  5. I'm interested too. Please put me on the list. At the moment I'm living near Ravensburg....

  7. Hi, I think with the "old" schematic you mean the 8 pot version. Mikes PCB is the 16 pot version and here you can find  the "new" schematic (which works for sure ;) ): http://www.ucapps.de/midibox/midibox_plus_16.pdf This are 2 10kOhm Trim-pots (variable resistors) for adjustment of brightness and contrast of the LCD. 8. Hi, Möglich ist das sicher, wie pay_c schon schrieb. Der Vorteil von 2x40 ist halt, dass die Zuordnung Display<->Encoder/Buttons am einfachsten und übersichtlichsten ist... Raphael
  9. Hi, That´s right. So perhaps your midi interface is buggy. Are you using a onboard soundcard? I had several problems with some nVidia nForce onboard interfaces. Now with the interfaces of my Marian Marc X Soundcard everything is OK. So try another MIDI interface. Raphael
  10. Hi, Have you tested your midi interface like it is described on the midi troubleshooting site: ensure that the MIDI interface of your computer is working: loopback the MIDI Out of your PC to the MIDI In of your PC and send any SysEx dump by using the "Send/Receive SysEx" function of MIDI-Ox. The number of sent bytes must match with the number of received bytes. If it doesn't match, search for a new driver for your MIDI interface/sound card. If not available, you can possibly fix this problem by lowering the Low Level Output Buffer size (normaly set to 2048 ) and by increasing the output delay (normaly set to 0 ms) in the MIDI-Ox SysEx configuration menu I had the same problem with a onboard soundcard midi interface. To solve it i had to increase the delay in midiox. By the way, this is the wrong forum... You should post in the testing/troubleshooting forum. Programming mios means coding your own application. Raphael
  11. Hi Right! But for debugging a LCD display is very usefull... Take the MIDIBox64E Application. There should be no problems. Raphael

    [MB LC] einige infos

Hallo Daniel, Ich versuchs mal..
  13. What software are you looking for? You can find a lot of samples via google. If you are searching the pic16 firmwares from thorsten lokkt at: http://www.ucapps.de/pic16f_firmwares.html Midi filter comes with source code. For the other sources you have to ask Thorsten. Raphael
  14. The knobs on Thortens SID (and of course on my future SID ;-) ) were directly from Waldorf. TzanhZsu did the centralized bying for the forum. But unfortunately Waldorf does no longer exist... Perhaps because their synths were too expensive :-( So I don't know, if these knobs are available somewhere else.... ??? Raphael
  15. Hi, Just programming the applications (like midimon, midisid, midi box64) is NOT enough!! Have you programmed the bootstrap loader? http://www.ucapps.de/mios_bootstrap.html Thats the only part you have to program with the JDM. Next question: Have you uplaoded MIOS via MIDI? http://www.ucapps.de/mios_bootstrap.html After MIOS works, you can upload your desired application. Hope this helpes. Raphael
  16. In another thread i already made the suggestion that you should download the LC manual from Emgic. To make it short: Shure, it is possible to switch the channels. But it is more comfortable to have 16,24 or xxx faders ;D Raphael
  17. If you wanna learn something about the original LC/MC layout download the manuals ;-) For Logic Control: http://www.emagic.de/media/support/content/manuals/LogicControl_en.pdf For Mackie control: http://www4.mackie.com/products/mackiecontrol/ This should help to understand the functions of the Midibox LC... encoder...

Just look at the midibox hompage! If you scroll down the menu, you will find "How to order..." Last time I ordered my encoders from Wouter (http://www.voti.nl/). He is listed on Thostens how to order page too. Look for "M_SW_ROT" on Wouters site. The encoders are quite cheap, but feel like the ALPS. Wouter ships worldwide... Hope this helps Raphael

  20. My dictionary says: Sekundenkleber = superglue Fase = bevel or chamfer :P
  21. Hi, Just fire up Google and search for "midi specification"... What you are looking for: 8 = Note Off 9 = Note On A = AfterTouch (ie, key pressure) B = Control Change C = Program (patch) change D = Channel Pressure E = Pitch Wheel The lower Nibble (4 Bits) is the MIDI-Chanel: 0x92 means Note On, Channel 2 0x8F means Note Off, Channel 16 Hope this helps Raphael
  22. Hello, Just use 16V capacitors or higher. You can check the voltages suggested by Thorsten by looking at the Order-Lists on the MBHP-pages. The circuits are very similar to the older stuff like Merger and MBPlus. For the MIDI-Interface 16V are more than enough. The voltage of the Gameport is just 5V on pin 9. Raphael
  23. The physical size of the Faders is not important. Just assure that you use 10 kOhm linear types. Best regards, Raphael
  24. Just enable the MIDI-Merger in the Config. - submenu of your MIDIBox! (Look at the Tutorial:http://www.ucapps.de/midibox64e_tutorial_en.html )

    Diodes

Yes, 1N4004 is a replacement for 1N4002, it's just a type for higher Voltages (100V for 1N4002 vs. 400V for 1N4004). Hope this helps raphael
