you will need them a extra HC165N...and with that you will have 4 not connectet pins ;) 2xHC165 meens: Total 16 Pins 1 Encoder = 2 Pins x 4 = 8 Pins 4 Switches = 4 ins Total = 12 Pins Left = 4 Pins.... ok with 4 din inputs you can take additional switches, but here the problem starts, which switch....everbody from us want a other switch, because of estetic reasons as cash reasons...that is a never ending story Ok, I have get my credit card today. i have the nord rack III @ home. there you have 2 operation modes, that you can select with a Button on the controll sourface. for backgroundinfo...the nord has 4 synth (slots), that you can controll, and switch the controll sourface for it...like the MBSID!.... in the Performance you have what you said...for every patch that is stored in (programm... switchable with programm change...) the synth slot, a own Midisetting, and Audio-output routing). So if you activate preset (performance-preset)1.1, the midi and audiosetting also changes! and this for all 4 slots! This midisetting information, is stored in the performance preset, but not in the normal preset.... so we come to the EDIT mode (the other was PERFORMANCE mode) The normal preset is the preset, that is used in the EDIT mode, here you can switch the Patches (for you in the SEQ4 - the track-sequences...) without changing the Midi and audio editing.... HMMM...I used the 2 modes..... I finaly use the standart EDIT mode! The Performance Mode, is way to much complex.... it is too complicating,...I use the nord for liveacts... (the MB seq is also a performance sequencer?-yes it is...) there is so much to do...and the last what you need is that, the midi setting is changed if you change a sequence.... but if you make it like nord...2 modes? with the same preset, only in one mode the midisetting change- is ignored... ;)

hmm, it would be cool if this percussionn tracks could be assignt to addational hardware like the 4x16 led-dualcolour matrix... i thougt bevore.... it would be better to have the mb808 and the MBSeq. in one device, so melodie and drumsequence are together, stored editet and switchd ;)... ...but sorry that was not you asked....

4 encoders are one HC165...thats fully stuffed.... hm 4 douts free...hm...maybe a LED in the middle under every Encoder?...like you may see on the nord rack (it marks that this encoder is used in 2nd Function (by pressing shift), or when you press shift you can use the encoder by turning as a button, and the one led under the encoder says- a am on or off....thats the way it be on the nord rack III!) foto: look at the middle row of encoders now focus the left first encoder: there is a little LED, take this Led and place it under the encoder now it looks preaty.... http://www.amazona.de/media/articles/article_images/article_566/2_NL_filter.jpg or you can use it to show - this controll is changed, and not the same like from the saved preset (well know from oter synths) ...... or just simple make a pinheader for this led....whatever.

so then, perhaps i draw a library for the ledring, and drawing, and upload it here for overwork - in eagle - if somebody would make it in a other program---make it :)

mit der xbase09 kannst sowas wie minimal machen...3 instrumente looooool ich bin ja eher der perkussions abhängie mensch, rides, claps toms, rims, oh, ch, crash, das muss einfach -triben- ;)

Die Liste ist vom Herbst Winter 2008.... die Preise sind nimmer aktuelle... die Reichelt Links sollten jedoch---aktuell sein! Aber nicht vergessen, für die MB6582 ist sie Bauteiltechnisch nicht auf stand! da hab ich erst angefangen! 2x15V traffo gibts ja einen bulk order... nur ob das was wird? deshalb fragezeichen, ich werd ihrgendwann einen 808 drumexpander machen (nur soundmodul)... da werden aber auch andere drummachine schaltungen drinnen sein, deshalb die sehr flexible spannung! na ich ich hab die jomox airbase...das ist ja ein expander ohne controller (ok einen menü encoder) dafür will ich ne midibox 64e! heißt ledringe und encoder... so im 2 HE 3He format...(rack 19"), es gibt eh grad einen bulk order für Ledringe...hau dich dazu, ledringe braucht man eh immer. Mit der midibox werd ich alle parameter, tune pitch lfo decay....sample....reverse... peaktime....attack...aller -10glaub ich- instrumente steuern.... Die jomox ist ja ein expander denn du um 250 euro gebraucht kriegst, baust dir eine midibox hast einen "hell yeah!" drumcomputer....im moment steuer ich das ding noch mit einer BCR2000 an...das funkt jetzt schon sensationell! und total recall, soll heißen schaltst ein preset um springen die regler auf richtige stellung...

like so ...i dont get the glue of the dimensions on the datasheet, is this inch or cm..... and where is the outher diameter....a very shitty datasheet >:( I would make a eagle file for this, so I can try arround with a design :) :), a smd version and a dip version ;)

and with din- and dout-connectors on the left and right side off the board ----> to connect some more of these bords... so if you take 3 boards or so, you can fit it in 19" 2HE rack or so....... because, 2 or 4 is for me much too less ;), and so everbody could be happy

also, ich komm aus A wie österreich :) lol, ich hätt ja ne größere Order von Reichelt (um die 600 euronen) ich hab ja auch 2 mb6582 platinen herumliegen, die drauf warten bestückt zu werden... die Teile für die Sid hab ich aber noch nicht rausgesucht...hier meine aktuelle BOM gesammt bom.html wenn ma da noch 2x die mb6582 teile reinnehmen, dann kommen die einzelteile wesentlich billiger....da wiederstände und kondensatoren, wenn man mehr bestellt um einiges günstiger werden... bei reichelt, digikey...werd ich bestellen ist nur mal so ein angebot ;) ;)

they are a good team the waldorf, goes from 303 VCO-Style too Moog VCO-Style....from roland VCFStyle too moog vcf style.... -> ph!at! the nord, sounds: ELECTRO! it isnt phat- but that is good soo, the phattnes comes from the waldorf.... and the lead and pads from the nord... Since the nord has fm-vcos for each VCO, 2 lfos a mod env....-f-env, a-env.... and for all that a own Encoder with Ledrings, to the ledring a display, and a LED-display...I fell like in -the performance heaven" :D the nord sounds like the sid! rough and sawing, If the Sid have will get Ledrings, and a 303 filter, it also will get such an performance machine.

since i controll a daw with it, i need more then 64 babys...---but this is future, next year...(waiting for the group buy of motorfaders) and waiting for time.... ;) so you can buy it from me...this is ok... But please wait one week, i dont have enoug money on my paypallkonto, i am already waiting a week for my credit card (i havent one)... so I can pay the money...or transfair it to paypall... (i can also now transfair it with banktransver, but this had last time a durance of more then one week!) We should wait one week, if somebody else want some more ledrings -then also I will have a credit card...hopefully... and I can pay it just in time. @echopraxia,...ok, it is only supportet by the MB-LC & mb64e (here you can use 64 ledrings in combination with encoders!) but you can do all with mios and torsten programms... the fact that a mb64e exist, and that a midibox SID exist---brings the fact: ledrings could be used for alle midibox aplications...if you can integrate the code in it...(i must say i dont can do this :( ), usefull for applications could be, SID and the MB-FM, or my project (if it ever will finished...) the MB-303... it is only a rough fiew of the controlls, but this is enoug to see "this preset must sounds so, and if i turn a littl of here it will sound so" the exact view of the Parameter you will see in the lcd 0-127.......

I am for 150 of these babys...since....all projects should have ledrings...sid, fm, mb303 :P :P, all midicontrollers.... as i said, 3,50...if it will get to 3,50 I only want 70!....the cheaper the better (and more) since i have the nordrack 3 it is a must have 8)
