  1. holy moly, yes i meant klopfgeist :D....klofpgeist muhaha
  2. my plan is a 2HE small standallone Sequencer, it will build with 4 single sided pcbs (in reality 2x DINA4 or other formats must fit.... (which you get with less money, and you can each it by your own...) But I had made a mistake by planing my PCB I had not think about that the used (I already have 300 of this babys....) DTL switches, that they are build for a 2 LEG Diode, since the Dualcolourmatrix needs 3 Legs Diodes... the design must be changed...the DTL body has already place for 2x2LEG Diodes, I must change the Pads of the DTL Body in Eagle, then It is a little bit "bend" work, to bend the LED in the DTL Body,...you must get the DTL-Cap from the body (easy job), now you bend a leg to a other hole (you have 4 holes there, but only 2 of it you can see with the cap....you must cut a little trace (cut some material) in the body so the Cap has no resistance to the body.... thats the reason I dont build that project until now... the fu**ing 3 Leg leds >:( http://www.eight-oh-eight.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=229 there are 2 core moduls..because I integratet a multimasterclock...since I dont have a idea how to integrat it in MB808 I planed to integrate the hardware in it...because there was space..., and there was space on the frontpanel too.
  3. I dont have the first track i have eaver made...man that was 2001 or 2002 or so... after 5 harddisccrases and bad DVDs, there exist not much from this time... but the first track was a good track! :D ... you jumped into a mystical world of electronic music, so much ideas, and feeling! of course good a ideas, but not the technic to get it proffesional into reality, so it all sound shitty, but with a good melody or or sound into it.... One of my oldest tracks (5 mounth after starting to producing), played with a modified mam mb33II modified and rewired by phatline 8) (harder noisier more saw more drive more tweet more glide, less resistors more germanium diodes leds or whatever in the signal path :D) , the sequencer was a roland mc09 (that was brand new @ this tim) , drummache was.... i think a korg electribe er1?...whatever: http://www.phatline.at/firststuff/Phatline-Oldshoolunity-Remas.mp3
  4. in the future, (octocores 8) ) , I will build a Desktop PC into my Music rack... with no harddisks, but with a SD Disk....and a lighweight cpu-cooler, and a shock resorber for the rest of the transport shocks.... It will be stable- mechanicly.... But in this moment it is also softwarestable.... we have liveactet this friday, with my overclockt deskop pcs....It crashed all the time (no wonder... ;) ...)... But with my Fujitsu siemens dualcore laptop.... we have liveactet 4 ours.... and ours and ours...it is not so unstable... My Clavia nord rack...hang more....every our I must press the panic button there 8)
  5. I know I know :D ... I am Waiting on Wilbas Bulk But, the seq v3.3 dont support (and will not in future---tk-words!) midi file inport.... so I cant use my whole midi-music-liveact (5years... a big liveact with thousends of midifiles) When I using the SEQ v3.3.....I also need a DAW---to mix the Instruments perfectly... Livemixers with compressors Brickwallfilter, chanalstrips delays reverbs...sidechainfilters....are too big for my car :(
  6. TECHNOMILIZ (phatline & elektroklon) proudly presents ;) http://www.phatline.at/Technomiliz-JAM-2008-11-21-Orginal.mp3 Length: ca 0:50h...should be longer...but the DAW is fuxxckt up....... BPM: 140 Datei: MP3@320Kbs 48KHz 109MB @ Highspeed Host Style: Techno, Trance, Elektro..........our 4th Livact-jam together....I like it! Hardwareliveact Equipment: Melodie Sequencer & DAW: Ableton Live 7 Drum Sequencer: Korg Electribe ER1 MKII (and drum sounds...) 7. pfff- suckers >:( -I dont believe that they are getting more expensive...I think they getting cheaper...but ok... a saler is a sucker ;)
  8. I know them, but- the button dual colour matrix needs 3 legs ;)
  9. I work @ work with Autodesk Autocad 2008, I use it @ one run for Frontpanel Design.... I first, design my PCB with Eagle, (it was hard work to learn that fuc""in progam!), I then export it as a dxf, I inport it in Autotesk Autocad 2008 or 2006 (its allmost the same) I then make a Case and a Frontpanel for my Midibox. I also had done, simple shematics like a midibox 64 with 100mm Faderpotis.... in Autocad 2008, it is very easy.... Just use 3D blocks (selfmade - with datasheets) and place it, now make a new layer for Routings.... then make a new layer for Case, then a new for distance cylinders....and so on... after a while you have 3D prototype of your Midibox...I never realysed frontpanels, for that things I never found a zero-cost fried with a CNC ;) .... I learnt Autocad 2008 for my Work (CAD-Projectant) in 1 week I learned how to draw... after 2 years, I know all about it, from dynamic blocks from how to use Layers best make your own Patterns, macros.... to Work ultra fast With multibuttons mouses and 3d controllers..... I like the programm much---but If you have to pay for it---Its to expensive for DIY (I am happy cause after work - inwork I can work legal on a ACAD 2008)
  10. for velocity you have to take the "lute stop" it presses a "felt" (german: filz) to the strings and make it more "lopass", that is the "velocity" of the harpsichord" When your harpsichord have a "lute" stop it will be a "global lute stop" and it is for all notes. (it is stick with felt on it...and it reduces the vibration) But you could built your own "singel-note lute-stop". So you have to "electro-mechanic" it...I dont know what is fast enough...for that, servo motors are too slow- for music. When the harp-strings are off Iron (or magnetic), so you will need a electro-magnet- which, is sittung under the Strings, over the magnet, you put a bit felt. But I dont know what a electromagnet with DC make with your musik, but ok....that are only ideas. For the Electromagnets...you could take a metric-winding-Screw---no Idea what diameter? it depends on the space between the strings....is big as possible I think... then you you should rasp, the buttom of the screw plane. You take a Wooden or any other non-magnetic material, and drill holes for the Screws, after that, you take a nut, and screw the Screw in the holes, now wind a magnetic wire on the shaft that now look out of the Material I never tried this in my live I dont have a harpsichord, but this is a idea, you have to make a prototype, and try, what magnetic wire, what screw diameter, how much Ampere and Voltage on the wire..... the distance between magnet and string...and so on. ;D
  11. that would be sooooo dam cooooool 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
  12. I would take this swiches for the Button-LED-Dualcolour-matrix for the mb808: The holes for the LEDs are they for a 2-WireLED? or is there a change for a Dualcolour LED with 3 Legs (wires)
  13. hmmmm 1 - 16 for the MB808 ;D but 1-8 is also total ok..
  14. you could use 2 doutmodules for one Velocity- one with a bigger and one with a smaller Resistor (and a standart diode in series- too prodect the circuit...) Soo you have maybe: Midivelocity 0: 0V (no sound) (Dout 1) Midivelocity 0-100: 2,5V (normal) (Dout 1) Midivelocity 101-127: 5V (Accentet) (Dout 2) So you can accent 303ish with that. (if you dont want to use a aoutmodule for a 12bit resulution of velocity!) its then "only" a software thing- but with this I cant help you.
  15. oooooh, I was @ work and I dident read it carefully (i only had a look @ the monodeck) I have a clavia nord rack 2 @ home, and If the Rectangle ones have the same feeling, I will order some.---thankz 0,50$ ---> US Dollar?
  16. I know this switches! The feeling is very good! but! the fact that the leds are not intecratet in those switches, minimize the range of application! You need there extra holes for LEDs, you cant make "fields" of Switches, you always need some "metal" and place from the frontpanel... Maybe if there are modells with hole for a LED I will order some! servus- phat
  17. ---that was a idea---not a wish ;) ---ok a secret wish---my officell wish is a function to mix the midisequences via faders or rotarys.... yes of course it is a-hardware adaption---but it requires---a stoftware.... ...I am also for a LED-Matrix--- (like on the sid---only bigger---and instead of only one button under it--two buttons----i am thinking of 32x32 LEDs) that can show and- edit- Poly sequences. And maybe a Pipe-organ---"chorder" function would be cool too (like on the photo) ;D....of course---adittional hardware would be requierd.... I write only ideas... if it is possible or not- ??? - hardware would be requierd...-ok----but it could be integratet (or the Midi-CC for external controller could be given) in the software :) -because I dont think with a controller you can now edit your SEQv3,3 with visable chord functions and show the poly notes in a LED matrix???? and Edit it in this matrix??? this is a softwarewish too ;) (btw---read my other messages too--- and you will understand it is not only done with a simple external controller!)
  18. I know I know ;D, but with ledrings with 16 LEDS you only have 16 notes (ok that isnt the problem) and the resolution and handling is 100:1 ----if have tried a behringer bcr2000, and editet Sequences with it---and I have editet the same setup with 100mm Fader---wuhuuuu yeah 1000% better... But OK, If Ledrings with 32 LEDs or so will be supportet...the resulution is big enough ;D ---like on the nord---led bars and Encoders (or switches) under it.....but more leds---to show the note of the step ;D
  19. 2tracks-- i have made this night 8) : http://www.phatline.at/Phatline-vintage-airbase.mp3 http://www.phatline.at/Phatline-vintage-mbase.mp3 Equipment: Bass: Waldorf pulse Lead: Clavia Nord Rack2 Kick: Jomox Mbase01 Drums: Airbase99 Drumsequencer and more Drums: Korge electribe rythm Pad: JP8080 Melodiesequencer-and Mixing: Ableton Live7 Soundcard: Presonus Firepod Midicontroller: 2x behringer bcr2000 Midimerger: midibox midimerger Masterclock: Midibox Multi master clock
  20. thats a normal "tactial switch" or in german "kurzhub taster" you get it by Reichelt: http://www.reichelt.de/?;ACTION=3;LA=2;GROUP=C223;GROUPID=3278;ARTICLE=27894;START=0;SORT=-artnr;OFFSET=1000;SID=31nnv@LKwQAR8AAGO9Hu47679e5705e3a39ea54a88904699bb8db And you get it everywhere ;) from everyone---thats a normal 6x6mm tactswitch with a 12,5mm long shaft
  21. Wishlist? I make Livejams and liveacts...so I want a great very very very easy to use live tool OK, very importent, 1st wish Midimixerfunction + optional Hardware options for that--meens: Fader1: the whole Volume (midi volume) of the first track is controlled (undependet of the single step volume, you can fade it the track out) Fader2: the whole Volume of the 2nd track... So now If Fader 1 & 2 sends on the same midichanal. You can mix to Sequences very smoothly, and you can jam very perfect (I have done this in Ableton and it is very good for jaming) of course for all Chanals, it would be cool too have velocity controll! 1st Idea ta ta ta da ;D Motorfadersupport & Motoerfader-steptunecontroll http://www.phatline.at/Phatline-jamsetup-setup.3gp (in german language---but hopefully TK knows whtat to do with that idea ;D hopefully) think on it---yeah a blind man could make electronic sequence jams ;D ...means: You have 16 Motorfaders in a row, The 1st Motorfader controll the first pitch of the first step.. The 16th naturaly the 16th step, and when I press a button, I can controll Step 17 to 32.... over the Motorfaders are 2 rows of Buttons (32 buttons) 1row for Accenting, 1row for Slide (or to make a note so long that it ends with start of the new note) Special function Buttons (take for that the 32 buttons and a shift button!) for this Idea are: The great "Fader-steps"-buttons ;D --- The downer Row of the 32Buttons By pressing Step1+shift, you get a 16step sequence where every motorfader controlls only one 16th step Step2+Shift= you, you get? yeah alright--- you get a 32Step sequence, where every motorfader controll 2 steps...and so on... Step9+shift= it would be nonsense to make such long sequences---I think ther would be cool: the Ta ta ta ta "polyphonic mode" The Motherfaders are now splittet in 2 Sections. 8 Faders for the lower sequencepart, 8 for the higer sequence part. Step9+shift= you will get a 8steps dualphonic sequence, Step10+Shift= you will get a 16 Step sequence- where every motorfader controlls 2 steps....and so on by activating now Step2+Shift againg, you will here now the lowerpart of the poly sequence and after that the higher....and so on The great "Sequence-Type"-Buttons The upper row of the 32 buttons, are for the sequence Type: (like arpegiator types ---up down sample hold..) By pressing 1+shift you get a 32th sequence- 2+shift= you getting a 16th sequence, 3+shift=8th-offbeat, 4+shift=8th-onbeat, 5+shift=only Step 5 and 13 are controlled from Motorfader 1 and 2.... 6-9+shift=user definied sequence-styles like: Step 1 2 3 8 9... controlled from Motorfader 1 2 3 4 5 (the steps between are pausend---and the sequence get longer of course...because you dont loose any notes---they are only shiftet.....that rule of course is also for all other shift functions) 10+shift=-1Octave for the whole sequence 11+shift= No octave shift for the whole sequence 12+shift=+1Occtave for the whole sequence 13-16+shift acts as a polyphone pitch shifter.... (the higher part of the poly sequence-getting shiftet higher--but not the position of the faders---only the notes) 14+shift=+1Octave 13+shift=no octaveshift 15+shift=+2Octave 16+shift=+3Octave A 3rd Function button make also sense..., to short the Sequence, so if you press Step1+3rdSwitch, Only Motorfader1 will be looped (in poly mode Motorfader 1 and 9) Step2+3rdFunction Switch, Only Step2 will be looped By press 2nd function (shift) and 3rd function togehter and a Step- all Steps until the pressed step will be looped. Also needet for this Conzept: "scale" button, which switch between the pitch range of the fader, maybe, with a dualcolour LED-=> no Light: meens: 100m Motortravelway = 1 Octave, red=1 Octaves per 100mm fadertravelway Blue=3 octaves per 100mm fadertravelway.... With the functions (additional hardware features ;D ) The Sequencer woold be a so powerful tool, you can make complex monophonic sequences in seconds (and the best- you see what you are doing, and you make what you thinking) ----I actually tried by Ableton live and Midibox 64 and 64 peaces 100mm Fader- to make a realtiime - very very easy to use jam sequencer----so it worked very good, in one second you have done a new sequence ;D ;D ;D ---but it was a stupid setup---no total recall---!--- but it worked. (with all the very usefull sequence style patterns!) 2nd wish of course the famous "Midifileinport function" ta ta ta da :P ;D
  22. "a switch that adds a second audio feedback path to boost bass response at higher Q levels" with a buffer sheme like that? yeah! cool idea!
  23. Hm ;D but... No ;) I dont have you (english... :( ....) I will take the 3rd VCO for the possible to play poly basslines, and off course in Mono Mode: make phat wobbling basslines that are detuned a little bit to each other... :) (panacea sounds) I know that I can emulate this woobling effect a bit, with detuning the 303VCO with a fast lfo...well know from the MC202... but that isent that cool ;D ....I know I will loose the slide effect in mono mode then...but, for that, I would make a Button like on the Nord Lead "Poly-legato-mono". Yes.... I dont like the Basslines by extreme Resonance setings. It is very bad, by using only one 303 and a Jomox and make acidtechno... So my Idea was, to make a second filter section (in parallel), so I can drive one Filter very low pass (without resonance depp pumpi´n...big phat basslines) and one filter for the Acid selfresonance happynes ;D
