cool diy vcf's: http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/old_synthesizer.html has multistate vcf and low pass vcf, pcb's; i've made both, only multistatevcf works, it uses LM13700 http://www.cgs.synth.net/ has steiner VCF; haven't made it yet but i think it's very cool and easy/cheap (cheap pcb available) http://www.simple-answer.com/DIY.html Buchla bandpassfilter; haven't made it yet but looks cool, you can download pcb. good luck and have fun! cheers marcel

i'm using the 10Mhz crystals from www.voti.nl: X-10M price is 0,86 eurocent, and their really small, so you could fit them under the PIC18F socket if you want.. cheers, marcel

the detented encoders of voti can also be modified; bend the 4 clips (that hold the encoder together) back with a mini screwdriver, open the encoder. In the bottom there is 1 "u-shaped" pin with a bump in the middle. If you bend this pin down so it wont touch the upper part when reassembled, your encoder will be non-detented. cheers, marcel

Als je de encoder openmaakt en de bovenkant erafhaalt, zie je een plastic frame, met daaraan de drie aansluit- /soldeerpinnen. In het frame zie je ook 3 hele kleine pinnetjes die contact maken met de "draaischijf" en daaronder een grotere, u-vormige pin met in het midden een bobbeltje. Dit bobbeltje zorgt ervoor dat je de detents voelt; het enige wat je dus moet doen is de u-vormige pin naar beneden buigen, encoder dichtmaken, voila groeten marcel

Ik heb mijn complete midiboxsid+controlstation met de encoders van voti gemaakt. Ik heb de detents verwijderd (encoder openmaken en 1pinnetje omhoog buigen) en ze werken perfect! succes, marcel

i 've got them from a broken commodore amiga 500; you can get them out quite easy with a desolderingpump and a mini screwdriver. they are "noramlly open"and have four pins on the bottom (wich sadly dont fit 2,54mm rasterplates) dont know about the quality though.. if you look at/in the caps lock button you'll see it has a built in led(2mm??) and a small plastik "window" in the corner of the cap, to make the light visible. the other buttons could house (small) leds as well, but you'd have to find a solution for their caps/. cheers marcel

hallo, mijn bestelling bij de conrad is voor de zoveelste keer niet volledig aangekomen. Ik heb (zwarte) tact switches nodig van 13 mm hoog en ik kan ze (voor een normale prijs) alleen bij reichelt vinden. Alleen.... Reichelt accepteerd uit het buitenland alleen orders van minimaal 100,- euro. Ikzelf kan wel aan 50,-/60,- euro bestelwaarde komen en ik vroeg me af of er iemand mee wil bestellen zodat we die 100 euro halen. Ik woon zelf in rotterdam, misgien handig om erbij te weten groeten, marcel
