so when you move a fader it sends the track name to identify itself?
I'm just trying to figure out how tracks are specified and communicated to each end...
There is no identification of tracks. The whole intelligence is in the host. In a 8-Fader setup, the host just tells the controller what Track-Names to display on the 8 faders - When you switch the bank, the host again sends the new tracknames to the fader-controller but the controller does not know which 8 tracks of the DAW project he's controlling.

Dein Porto wird vermutlich viel höher sein (bessere Verpackung für die Displays). Vergiss das also und stell mir eine normale Rechnung. - Meine Relais sollen ein Dankeschön für Deine Display Bestellaufwände sein.

Ich bräuchte 4 dieser Reed-Relais...oder einfach nur 4 Relais die auf 5V-Spannung reagieren....ich habe leider schon bei Reichelt geordert und wusste bis dato nicht, das ich diese Dinger brauche *grmpf :-\

Das Problem ist, dass ich die ganze Kohle nicht auslegen kann...
... wenn's soweit ist (wenn Du genügend Bestellungen hast), ziehst Du die Kohle vorher ein ;)
Spielt doch keine Rolle, das Risiko für den Käufer bleibt dasselbe, ob er Dich zu Beginn bezahlt oder erst kurz vor der Auslieferung... aber für Dich wird das Risiko gar geringer und das finde ich nichts anderes als Fair, da Du so bestimmt nicht auf der Ware sitzen bleibst.

Darf ich Dir einen Tip geben? - Ich habe anno dazumal die letzte MF Sammelbestellung für's Forum gemacht.
...es müssen sich nicht alle einig sein.
- Du solltest nun die Fakten zusammentragen und daraus Dein Angebot ins Forum stellen.
- Starte einen neuen Thread im internationalen Forum. Als ich die Bestellung machte, kamen mehr als die Hälfte der Abnehmer von ausserhalb Europa. Bsp.:http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=4293.0
- Definiere wie sich die Preise zusammenstellen, wie Du den Versand handhaben willst und wie Du bezahlt werden willst.
- ... und dann einfach Bestellungen sammeln. Falls Die Zahlen nicht innert nützlicher Frist erreicht werden, kannst Du immer noch den Hammer hinschmeissen.

Ich hab dem Händler jetz glaub schon 5 Mails geschrieben aber ohne Antwort, vermutlich ist er immer noch im Urlaub....werde weiter dran bleiben.
... ist es einer dieser E-Bay Handy Parts Dealern? Ich hatte auch mal einen angeschrieben und nach 2-3 Mails nach einem Angebot für 100Stk gefragt... hab nie mehr was von ihm gehört.
Ich hoffe, dass er wirklich in den Ferien ist.

Even if possible, what for would you need this transmission speed, if your synth only can deliver and receive in standard MIDI baud rate?
For a computer peer to peer connection there are already software and drivers available for doing this over ethernet.

2nd question:
When I turn my encoders, the values are transmitted by 2 steps. For example, I have a volume set to 100, if I move the encoder, I will have 102 or 98, but not 101 or 99. It the same thing with an encoder set as a datawheel to navigate in the menus, it goes 2 pages left or right.
Sounds similar like you have detended encoders (1 detend per half cycle) working in non-detend mode... or detended encoders (2 cycles per detend) in detend-mode.

They change the midi engine in the last Torq version 1.04, many other controller has stop working with Torq since but the new M-Audio Xponent control surface scratch wheel works really good :-X.
... welcome to the proprietary world of digidesign :-* (I think they bought M-Audio - right?)
It wasn't changed to make it work better but just because they don't want other controllers to work with it anymore.

...yes. All the logical behaviour is handled by the host program (in your case Cubase).
- You select a channel on your 2nd box -> Cubase shows this track as selected/"highlighted"
- You select [EQ] on your 1st box -> Cubase will send the EQ parameters of the selected channel to your 2nd box
In short: The host tells the box where is what allocated. E.g. if you switch bank by 8 channels, your box still sends the same commands on the same MIDI channels as before, but the host interpretes the 1st fader on your 1st box as the control of cubase-track 9.

... kein Problem. Du kannst theoretisch Deine DAW als Mixer verwenden. Es hat mal eine reine mixer SW gegeben. Ich glaube aber (habe ich gehört), dass die konkurs gegangen sind.

aber 200 Stck brauch ich jetz mal nicht, trotzdem danke für das Angebot... je nach "Run", wenn Du plötzlich doch mehr Bestellungen hast als erwartet, könntest Du Dich ja immer noch melden oder vielleicht kannst Du dann ja auch bei Deinem momentanen Lieferanten einen besseren Preis rausholen.

Sorry, I didn't specify: In the Controller Datasheet. - Finally you're powering the controller and not the display dots themself. So I think this counts for whatever display is driven by the controller.

do those caps have a led or are they led ready somehow?
... they have a slot (this grey part around the red dot), where you can place a LED on the PCB underneath it.
They have a removable transparent cap for labeling the button. If you want only a dot lighting (like on the picture), you have to cover the slot with your label and just punch a hole where the LED is placed. I prefer having the whole slot lighting.

Sorry, ich bin kein Cubase-User (...mehr). Die Angaben findest Du aber zu 100% im Cubase Manual.
Für die Basics solltest Du eigentlich kein Manual benötigen aber z.B. in Sequoia gibt es schon noch ein paar proprietäre Spezialitäten.

SCHADE!!! Ein wenig mehr Durchhaltewille wäre schön gewesen.
Man hätte aus den Fehlern im Verlaufe dieses Threads lernen und von vorne beginnen können. :-\
