Das Giessen von Silikon wird nicht wirklich Dein Problem sein. - Dazu gibt es trenn mittel, mit welchem Du die Form beschichtest (Spraydose).

Betreffend Kontaktfläche: Wie weiter oben schon mal jemand erwähnt hat, wird es ein Problem sein, eine Schicht auf den fertigen Taster aufzutragen, da vieles auf Silikon schlicht und einfach nicht haftet. Eine Lösung könnte sein, dass Du wie auch schon erwähnt wurde, 100%iges Graphit-Pulver in den Silikon mischen tust, so wie man leitende kunststoff Faderknöpfe (jedoch mit Thermoplasten) herstellt. Die üblichen 20% Graphit-Anteile werden aber vermutlich nicht reichen (so wie beim Fader-Touch) und wieviel Graphit Du dem Silikon beimischen kannst ohne dass er die Konsistenz verliert und bröckelt, weiss ich auch nicht... musst Du eben testen.
Damit der Taster nicht schwarz ist und beleuchtet werden kann, könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass Du in 2 Arbeitsgängen giessen könntest. Das Graphit-Kontaktstück in Form z.B. eines Nagels im ersten Gang und aushärten lassen. Im zweiten Gang legst Du den Silikon-Graphit-"Nagel" auf dem Kopf stehend in die entgültige Taster-Form und giesst ihn mit transparentem Silikon in den fertigen Taster ein.

Das taktile feel wird bei Silikon Tastenmatten in Form eines dünnwandigen Domes an der Unterseite erreicht. Bei genügend grossem Druck "sackt" der Dom in sich zusammen... er knickt sozusagen ein und dies gibt einem das Gefühl eines "snap".

Kann man auch 8 IIC-Module mit einem Core verwalten ?
... bis zu 128, was aber zu Bus-Performance Problemen führen kann. Zur Zeit sieht es so aus, dass 4 Slaves problemlos laufen sollten (siehe IIC-Page).

... you better don't do this. If you want to control it over a DOUT, you should take reed relais to connected, which is triggered by the DOUT.
But since it does not have to be controlled, you can power it directly. Don't you have any ratings written on this photoresistor package? Or at least a "type" label to find a datasheet?

But to talk about my SequoiaController MidiBox project: Yes I use a passively cooled microATX board with a mobile core2 duo cpu, a passively cooled ASUS graphics card, heatsink-frame for the HD etc.
For the Silentrack I'm building, I'll make some pix this weekend and post them when I find time.

If I daisy chain the core modules and use one midi out and on midi in connection to a PC, will I have 16 chanes or 32 Channels?

Is it better to use the midi in and midi out from each core module or to daisy chain the core modules and use midimerger?... depends on what the amount of data is and how critical timing is. Since playing an organ is timing critical, I would choose not to merge.
It also depends on about you can implement or play from 4 different ports in your application... I'm not a synth expert.

Sorry, daß ich das Ganze öffentlich mache, aber da Du mir die letzten beiden Nachrichten nicht beantwortet hast, bleibt mir momentan nichts anderes übrig. :P
Du hast ja jetzt die Teile schon eine geraume Zeit bekommen (mind. seit 2 1/2 Wochen jetzt) und mir bisher nur einmal kurz geschrieben, daß die Überweisung der ausgemachten 10 Euro noch etwas dauern kann. Auf meine Nachfragen hin kam keine Antwort, obwohl man sieht, daß Du im Forum gut aktiv bist. Ich will NICHT den Pranger auspacken, sondern nur noch mal an die Überweisung erinnern. Ich habe Dir die Teile zugesendet und ich denke die sind WEITAUS mehr wert als 3.- Euro (setz mal noch ne Null dahinter), also überweise mir diesen fast schon symbolischen Betrag von 10.- bitte demnächst.

i think i found a solution to this problem. the alps encoders i purchased actually have close to a 4mm hole (slightly bigger) from the underside that turns with the encoder shaft. i'm going to buy 4mm metal rods and glue it in, drill a hole in the perfboard for it to fit, and attach the knob. seems like it should be sturdy.

... does anybody know of a windows routing software similar to the RME router soft, which comes with the card?
The RME application is cool, the only problem is, that you only can route the one RME card. I have two RME MADI cards and it's not possible to route in/outs over the card "border" of each card.
