Salut, Voilà , j'ai l'intention de me lancer dans la SID Box avec le panneau de commande complet (Step C). J'ai déjà eu l'idée pour le Séquenceur... Pourquoi ne pas faire un ou deux PCB qui reprendrait tous les emplacement des LEDs, boutons poussoirs et encodeurs. L'idée serait aussi d'intégrer les modules DIN et DOUT sur ce même PCB. Je pense que ce PCB sera cher, mais comparé à trois modules DIN, un DOUT, tous les câbles. Et ça sera tout de même bien plus pratique. J'ai lu que certains était un peu contre ce principe car cela riquait d'uniformiser les MidiBox, mais bon après, chacun est libre de modifier le PCB. Et les surfaces complètes des SidBox sont très ressemblantes. Qu'en pensez-vous ? Quel soft de dessin de PCB utiliser, si possible en freeware. Il me semble que Eagle est un peu limité en surface de travail. Combien coute le dm² de PCB chez Perlor par exemple ? Merci, ludo

Peut-être devrais-tu plutôt la brancher sur J2, en série avec la bonne résistance (220 ohms pour une LED rouge). Ainsi tu sais si la tension continue est bien fournie. ludo

I didn't told that the button is not usefull, but for myself I think I should be better to configure this button to a transpose all function. Is it possible ? Thanks ! That's a solution, but I hadn't thought about that during design phase. That's a good idea too. On my design, GP encoder are link to Fast and the Main encoder is link to Select. That's true ! ludo

Hello, Often with my seq I don't take care that the All button is on and when I want to change one note, all my line is destroyed. So I aim to change this function to transpose all function. One other thing. When pressing on Exit, the MBSeq display : [tt]MIDIboxSEQ V2.2d Patterns <>[/tt] Pressing Select start playing and pressing Exit enter in the selected subitem (Patterns here). Why Select start the sequence ? That's strange, it should be more logical to enter with Select button and Exit come back to the pattern view. Last point, Menu button has to be pressed simultaneously with the GP one. I have small hands and it's impossible for me to enter in a menu with one hand when the the other is busy on the keyboard. Why not wait for 5 seconds between Menu button pressed and GP selected ? All GP leds could blink fast letting the user known that the Seq is waiting for a Mernu selection. If I'm the only one in this case, I will take a look to the code to see if I can change these strange-to-me behaviours. I you just have to starting point. ludo

Salut, Oui, je suis toujours ici. Je m'en suis aperçu lors de la mise à jour du logiciel. J'avais des codes d'erreur en retour SysEx. Et le comportement était étrange, le LCD affichait n'importe quoi. Le mieux, pour s'en assurer, c'est d'essayer un autre PIC. Boomtek, si tu as des difficultés à t'en procurer un autre, j'attends ma commande d'exemplaire de test de chez Microchip. Je peux t'en faire parvenir un avec le bootstrap loader dedans. ludo

Et tu souhaites connecter ton câble stéréo sur une entrée stéréo ? Parce que si tu connecte en parallèle une sortie mono, tu risques d'avoir une modification d'impédance qui pourrait-être préjudiciable au signal. Normalement tu devrais avoir une section d'amplication par voie (gauche et droite). En pratique cela marchera peut être très bien quand même. ludo

Hi Marcel, Thank you ! You're right, I've connected all the encoders switches together and with the fast button. Same thing for the Jog switch that I've connected on Select button. ludo

Si tu branches ton cable le connecteur central, tu n'auras rien si tu utilises un câble mono. Car les deux seront à la masse. Le seul probléme étant que si tu utilise un cable stéréo, tu n'auras du signal que sur le côté droit. Mais ça reste assez rare d'utiliser du stéréo dans un même câble, en configuration home-studio bien sûr. ludo

Question à 30 centimes d'euro, n'aurais-tu pas inverser le midi in et le midi out ? N'as-tu pas mis l'optocoupleur IC2 à l'envers ? Le shema mbhp_core représente les prises vue de derrière, peut être as tu branché à l'envers. Idem pour le sens de D1. Normalement tu n'as pas besoin du Midi Out pour programmer le PIC. Tu ne reçois pas l'acquitement, mais ça marche quand même. J'ai lu dans un autre de tes posts que tu ne voyais pas de signal en testant avec une diode sur Midi Out. Mesures-tu 5 volts en aval de R9, as-tu bien la continuité entre R7 et la broche 25 (TX) du PIC ? La masse est bien présente au centre ? Mais fais surtout ces vérifications sur Midi In. Je ne sais pas quoi te dire d'autre à part reprendre les plans et ton voltmètre et vérifier 1000 fois. Si tu ne trouves toujours pas, peut-être que ton PIC est HS. Cela m'est arrivé suite à des mauvaises manipulations. Tu peux toujours demander des échantillons chez microchip pour t'en assurer. ludo

Thank you ! All the encoders have switch. The notes encoders switch permit to set Fast mode and the Jog switch is allocated to select function. The only problem is the Menu button that should have been in the middle of the panel in order to open menu with a single hand. Ludo

The PIC id dead. With a spare one all come back to normal. I will close the box and do some tests. ludo

Hi Thorsten, I've only done this this test withe the MS2000. I will do some more. I've an big issue actually on my Seq and I've to work on it. I think I've made a short circuit and the Seq behaviour is really strange. Too late now to investigate. I will check the voltage and also the pic. ludo

The MS2000 arpeggiator is not so versatile and powerfull than MB Seq. Moreover, the MS2000 Arpeggiator has a bug with synchronization. I will use the Seq with a sampler (Akai S2800), the SID Box and the MS2000. ludo

Hi Thorsten, It seems that setting two patterns with the same Midi Channel does not merge notes but the second pattern's notes superseed the first pattern's notes. I will analyse this more precisely this week end. Yesterday night I wanted to send two patterns on one Midi Channel of my Korg MS2000 (maybe the issue is related to this synth). One for the bass line and the other one for the 'melody'. Only the 'melody' was played. Bass was played only when there was no note on the second pattern. It's like a conflict problem. Salut koben, Tu peux importer et exporter les patterns, mais tu ne peux les éditer que sur le Sequencer. Le canal midi se paramètre pour chaque piste sans problème. ludo

Il te faut tout d'abord un bootstrap loader. Si tu n'as pas le programmateur JDM, tu peux demander, par exemple, à SmashTV de le programmer avant qu'il ne te l'enovie. Ensuite il te faudra programmer dans le PIC le système d'exploitation, le MIOS, par le midi en utilisant le logiciel SysExBox. Avec le même logiciel tu pourras ensuite programmer l'application que tu veux. Je te conseil vivement de lire tout ce qu'il y a sur le site, notamment ce qui concerne le MIOS. Tout ce que je viens d'expliqué y est détaillé pas à pas. ludo

So, why not set the encoders under their associated parameter's value and let the other for the rest (not really usefull I think) ? By example, for the Channel value , use the encoder 6, for the Len, encoder 8 ? (if there a part of code I can change, which one ?) Sorry, I wasn't clear enough.
