No problem with 12V as rectifier output voltage is 1.42 higher as input. You're right about 6V on 7812. In fact, I have to admit that the actual design is the following. But I'm not sure it's here the best design. Diodes get hot, but output voltage are correct. ludo

Ok, I found the limitation in main.asm [tt];; initialize the shift registers movlw 0x09 ; use up to 9 shift registers (maximum would be 16!) call MIOS_SRIO_NumberSet[/tt] I've set it to 0x0B ! ludo

Hi all, Looks to me that SID can't manage more than 9 DIN Shift Register. I've test my hardware and all looks correct, but encoders on SR 9, 10 and 11 don't work. Is this a simple limitation, or do I have to reorganize Inputs in order to use less than 10 SR ? Thanks, ludo

I've posted a wish on the Schaeffer forum (in french section). Nadine Péronnin, in charge of the french request, answered "in a few months...". So I don't know more except she said that experimentation in lab started in january. That sounds good. If it can be release with a Mac OS X editor... ludo

So the best way could be to ask to Schaeffer or some one similar engraver. Engrave a larger shape around the frame with the depth of the acrylic (lower than the front panel). Why not to use a plate of acrylic like used for homebrew framing ? It's easily to found and cheap. You may put it between the LCD screen and the window. Glue it to avoid moves. ludo

Hello, I use a 2x40 display on my Midibox SID. As a lot a space is not used, is it possible to make an evolution like this ? Normal display is like : [tt] A 9 C 1 1---- Popcorn[/tt] So one menu button has to be pressed to go into sub menu. So why not configure such display : [tt] A 9 C 1 1---- Popcorn OSC FIL LFO ENV MOD WT VMA CFG SAV[/tt] Or better : [tt] A 9 Popcorn C 1 1---- OSC FIL LFO ENV MOD WT VMA CFG SAV[/tt] Any suggestion ? Tonight work on flickr : upgrade Voti's encoder to non-detented mode.. I really prefer Voti's encoder to SmashTV ones wich seems to be less precise. ludo

The Eagle file is here. It is based on the Core design. Maybe 2200uF cap is a bit too low, but all boards have a 2200uF. ludo
