  1. if you do it for a midibox why not for your own computer? no i think it s something for the curious and brave, you can stay out.
Simone

  6. yes i have a small package you may drop by in the area but please take a walk in the city afterward for a couple of hours.... :P oh I am sorry mr Gate but i am too dumb to use your latest OS i fully understand and appreciate your effort on delivering the best OS experience ever and I apology for being such a dumbdick, i promise i will take advantage of any Vista learning course that you may organize, by payment, of course, in the nearest city I also want to thank you for embedding your OS on nearly 90% of the computers out there, so i don t have to waste any neuron cycle to think about which one to choose and i can use that energy to do basic tasks like Windows-Windows file sharing. Your devoted and faithful Simone Marin VISA number: 69686968696 (please charge me in advance for any piracy of your product i may incur in) Sorry i can t buy such a machine right now, i am a carpenter and have a daughter, sir, so i can t buy a new machine everytime an overpaid OS developer decides to enhance my OS experience (ooohh i am c****g), in my Linux machine i can t turn all the nice Compiz features (which i don t use anyway) on and off, and i run it on a 1Ghz machine with 512Megs and it even serves as an audio production machine, not that i make music, just in case. dig that. maybe they whine cause they paid for something that is supposed to work out of the box.Vista before sp1 was a rather expensive virtual paperweight, so i don t think it s a real nice policy to USE YOUR OWN CUSTOMER AS BETA TESTERS, in the Open Source world you are usually asked if you want to participate in the development process. Can you imagine buying a PIC with a mandatory MIOS installed and having to pay TK for that even if you are going to make a flashy xmas tree decoration? Now i have to pay you a couple of Grolsch to make up for this post, and hey have fun in Barcelona. Simone

  9. Hi i wanted to share with you my latest hi-tech electronic project, custom made for the Halloween pumpkin competition at Sahira s school
  10. hi any USB hub will offer max 500mA, 5 volts. It is usually not recommended to power boxes with the USB hub but i did it a few times without any big issue. So yes you can do that, nothing special top be done on th ebox, but 400mA can be quite a threat, some transient current load and your lappy goes blank. Cheers
  11. MsPinky can run on any decent soundcard, you need RIAA preamps but mic preamp will do, you need A STEREO INPUT FOR EACH DECK. Simone
  12. have you placed the bypass caps on the bottom side? you can also try to solder a 100uF polarized cap at Vin in the DOUT module, but i can t guarantee it will stop the noise. Simone
  13. hey Matteo Stryd_one is right, placing music on you-tube is like drinking coffee with salt, what i am doing lately is uploading a video to youtube and link there to the same video on good quality, no flashy servers like Vimeo. Nice work, i was just a few days ago at a Stephan Micus concert, i am sure you would have loved it! ciao Simone
  14. What about cutting the chassis and making 2 holes for screws?
  15. thanks TK i was trying to find an old thread where you were clarifying that to me, but couldn t find it.
  16. 74hc165 and 74hc595 have a different I/Os pinout iirc: DIN - DOUT 0 - 0 1 - 1 2 - 2 3 - 3 4 - 7 5 - 6 6 - 5 7 - 4 but i am not sure atm, i ll check it out Simone EDIT: sorry i see you have smashtv boards where you can see the pins numbering, just ignore my posting EDIT2: sorry again (at least for being so imprecise) but now i reckon something, when i built my first board with douts and the pinout of the DOUT was not consistent so that it looked like this: DOUT - DOUT (ICpins)-(MIOSpins) 0 - 0 1 - 1 2 - 2 3 - 3 4 - 7 5 - 6 6 - 5 7 - 4
  17. General rule #36 "You have to find out what went wrong even if it is ok now or it will happen again"
  18. Fascists no Poor and honest fellows with an innate desire for learning yes
  19. mm dunno what you mean but MsPinky is not based on M-Audio s connectiv, in MsPinky software you can choose the input mode: Gen1-Gen6 vynils, MP CDs, Torq vynils Linuxers may want to have a look at www.xwax.co.uk
  20. + sound card latency of course
  21. ... just to bump it up, editing was not a good idea, whattya think rasteri?
