  1. ...let a couple of meters of thin 4 poles cable sticking out of the bottom of the shaft (need to drill a hole in the magnet). 4 poles jacks are the same length as 3 poles ones
  2. the only solution i can see is you checking your hardware, shortcuts, missing contacts bad soldering, if you feel like upload an high res image of the traces Simone
  3. oh well then all you need is a 4 poles minijack, i think they come in 2.5mm dia, but you should be able to find them as 3.5mm as well can t you actually use the metal parts of the joystick as GND and use a normal 3,5mm 3 poles minijack? EDIT: eeeww sorry anyway what s wrong with the 4 poles jack?
  4. hi since the space on the bottom can t be used, otherwise a 4 poles mini jack plus socket was perfect, the only thing i can imagine of is mounting on the base of the shaft a 4 brushes (or better carbon pieces as found in electric tools) system that can can rotate around the shaft base, now the cable connectd to this system should be enough "loose" to let the shaft spin but short enough so that will keep the system in place avoiding that the cable can twist around the system itself, go it? Simone .. i know a guy who maybe could laser cut acrylic pieces to create the "system", have a look at drill machines spare parts for carbon+springs brush type, you also need to make four conductive rings on the base of the shaft. ...sounds complicated though
  5. don t stress man!
  6. it should be underlined that analog filters are not allowed due to lack of search system in the forum
  7. i am using Kicad since 3-4 days EDIT: maybe it s the right time also to tell about the countersides: 1-zooming especially in PCBnew is not really perfect 2-you can t move objects in PCBnew and see them while moving them 3-missing official osx support 4-i haven t found out how to import a whole folder of libraries 5-i love octagonal shaped pads, where are they? :D 6-.. to be continued
  8. mmm sweet and smart
  9. there is a little trick kicad uses text based files for the project and not binaries so if you can spot the proper parameter you can easily "batch" change all the values That mean that you can draw a board with the current available footrpints and then just change the overall size of pads or drill holes in the board
  10. @cronic: i see you use a lot of open source programs, why don t you jump on the Kicad bandwagon? @Stryd: cmon! the world is not the forum!
  11. you are really proving me! can you draw it? schems?
  12. i wrote that cause you showed me a double slope desktop case once..
  13. i don t speak Danish, i barely understand it, it s such a difficult language that i doubt Danes really understand it themselves.
  14. Wilba remember that i can get Retex cases with only 5% VAT when i am in the Canary Islands, dunno if it is worth with the shipping ... tell me if i should get some infos..
  15. remember that often sometime it is easier to disable pins on the software
  16. ??? ok let s go back .. i need it for a midi controller, the pedal travels only 100 degrees or so. 10khm are needed between the 5v inputs to Pin3 and GND to pin1 (unless you opt for tilted solution but that s another beast).Pin 3 has to detect the range between GND and 5v. mmm not so sure it won t jitter (btw is "jitter" a verb?) edit: a bit of "cold" soldering liquid/ conductive glue and a magnifier may do the trick ..
  17. i fear that not sharing the same GND and supply may cause jittering, what do you think?
  18. mm maybe it s me that don t understand but what i need is a pot that have 10KR from pin1 to pin3, it useless to have 0-10KR on 90 degrees between pin1-pin2 if pn1-pin3=33KR
  19. yes if pins are enabled on the software
  20. hey i ve been looking desperately for 90 degrees pots (actually around 110) for my midi pedal if you can find any let me know Simone
  21. Fixed errors and rotated power pins
