What happened in 1993? We seemed to regain some land. TBH there's a bit of my that thinks we are still recovering from the last ice age. True we are accellerating things, but surely the earth has it's natural rythems and we've carried on warming up since the ice age. If we built a 60 meter wall round green land then would that be the problem solved? ;)

People aren't A-holes untill they ignore emails from me repeatably asking them for a payment or to tlet me know they are dropping out! (You won't beleive some of the stuff that people think is acceptable when others are offering them bulk orders)

I've sent out money requests as I was in a rush and posted in here when they were sent out. I don't think a few people have connected the two together so when I get a quiet point at work I will resend full invoices for the people who haven't paid yet. Filch, I've resent your money request. E

There was an interesting project on Make which used a hacked Adafruit POV circuit. The flashing lights along with a binaural tone adjusts your brain waves to put you into a similar state to those that are in deep meditation. I once had a go on one at a festival but it got cut short because the guy next to me not only had epillepsy, but had decided to take various drugs and go sit in front of some flashing lights - the outcome was inevitable.

You're absoloutely right... You were at the bottom of my spreadsheet and I must have worked too far up the list when sending out the new invoices.

Obviously I think what we should do what we can to stop fucking up this world, but there's part of me that kind of thinks that if there was a big disaster (Like mentioned in the above article... (90% of people whiped out) that it maybe wouldn't be such a bad thing. We are screwing up badly and the world cannot support the amount of people and we're still expanding. We've expanded too much and raped the world.. The world (climate, etc) whipes us out.... somthing will survive whther it be people or other organisms and the cycle starts again... I think this has happened many times already on this planet (dinosaurs, etc.).. The truth of the matter is that as a race, we do not relaly deserve the world that we live on. I think I'd be Ok though.. i live on a farm on a hill, we're already pretty much self sufficient with veg... I could quite happily life in a field in a yurt with a smallholding to keep me alive.... that and the shotgun :o (hmnn, nio insane grin type smiley.... Twiny-X, please can we have some more emotions, 10 isn't enough!)

Personally I think you'd do very well to find all the parts in the kit cheaper, but more importantly, you know for a fact that the kits parts are going to be compatible and fit the board. There are a few people though that have done very well with self sourcing components.
