  1. I like that and will be wanting one if it's OK with the bosses!
  2. I agree whats been said here. I do think this thing could be developed further, but it has a long long way to go. I'm guessing that all the items in the presentation were carefully selected. The machine would have been programmed to recognise that aprticular type of plane ticket, bog roll, etc. Ina real life situation that is going to be a hell of a database which would need constantly adding to, or maybe some sort of futuristic intelligent database? I also noted that the student had a laptop open ont he table... Wether this was to sort the video for the presentation or whether it was being used to host the program I am not sure. If this things is going to rely on a server connection then communication technology may have to develope a bit first. The one thing that did make me smile is that somebody has finally found a use for those crappy little LED projectors!
  3. The first (and tbh the only ) thing I usually check on broken electronics is the condition of the solder joints/tracks/components. If something looks black and fizzled, bulgged out or otherwised damaged then it needs replacing/the joint resoldering.
  4. Paypal requests have been sent out for all orders that I have received so far. John Royston - Please let me know what your midibox username is
  5. Got mine the other day, thanks niLs
  6. Jroyston, please can you let me know your midibox username. You've missed it off the form.
  7. Got mine on Friday, Thanks niLs Oooops... wrong GM5 thread!
  8. OK, plenty of time to get the numbers in, I just want to make sure we catch as many people as possible for this one.
  9. Hi, arrived yesterday but I haven't had chance to unpack yet. Hopefully should have chacne to look at it on Saturday Night/Sunday
  10. I'm in too minds about bcbox. The mods make the x0x sound like something not from this planet. It's quite pricey though and I don't need the extra inputs. Maybe when I have everything else built (there's a list) I will consider starting to mod what I have.
  11. I'm thinking I'll be getting a Stribe 1 kit at some point. The original stribe was a bit too expensive for me to justify (for soemthing I have no clue about using) but I like the fact that the stribe 1 modules can be built up over time depending on your needs. They look really pretty too :D
  12. Great, thanks. I'll see if it works and get back to you. To be honest I've never heard of a azimuth alignment tape!
  13. Think I'll be doing my Atari STE at some point... and my 3 STFMs. They go a yucky colour.
  14. Yes... It's not just bleach though... A special mix developed by geeks!
  15. Hi Prof, yes, please send it with the JB. Would love to have a rummage through the games at some point, we'll have to arrange to meet up for apint at some point. Nah... for things like that you need "Retr0bright" - http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/
  16. Wow... somebody's managed to take some in-focus pictures! Looking good and nice to see you've not drilled the front panel. I quite like the way that the LEDs light up the white stripe on the knobs.
  17. Southpark-Goblinz has a home, he just prefers spending the night in dark woods. He does look exactly like me too.
  18. Where's my PCB's? Are you trying to pull a fast one here, I know your type. I need them for a school project which was due in 18 months ago and you will be responsible for me failing the year, not being able to find a decent job and me eventually turning into a homeless addict... ;D
  19. Thanks for the kind offer but there should be a C64 and PSUs on it's way to me now, courtesy of Sparx. The only bit that I am now short of is the datacorder. Does anybody have one spare? Will the C16/Vic 20 one work with a C64?
  20. Nah, it's just some notes that S1 took when he was a bit younger. :P
  21. Glad to hear that, and a bargain too! Please keep us informed.
  22. Good to have you back. No resentment at all. You had a few bad days, it should have just stayed as a few bad days and i'm sure there's more than a few of us thatwere sorry to see you disappear when things could have been sorted out easily enough. Back on board now so lets put that all behind us!
