What's up everyone? I've been away for months, too, after a busy spring and summer of building. Still not quite ready to stafrt building again, but hopefully soon.. month or so.

This is what I think of VST... It would be like downloading .MID files for all of your favorite music, and listening to those, instead of the actual songs. The notes are all the same.. it's the same music.. Must be just as good as the original bands recording, right? NO!

Wow, didn't realize you could get touch in that size! That's why I use the 12" screen... It's got the wacom pressure sensitive pen and touch. (it's not dedicated to music.. just my general laptop) I think it's silly to purchase a computer w/out touch, these days.

modern 17" laptops are HUGE!

I gig w/ a 12" display... But it's all personal preference, I guess.

XPS's are great.. It'll be like a portable desktop computer.

NICE NICE NICE! I ordered hundreds of dollars worth of rare IC's last winter for the rest of my modules... then started building midibox stuff and put those on hold. But, I'm ready to start building when the mood takes me.

Good luck! I finished mine a week or 2 ago, and love it! Got me back in to actually using my gear for the first time in years! Now I get down there and write a track just about every day.. Love those analog drums!

Yay, finally just got them.

The 4006's are each in their own static proof bag with static warnings all over them, and then all of those are put in one of Mousers standard anti-static mylar bags. Guess they know these cips are extra sensitive.

what's this about leftover display covers? :D

Order done on Wednesday... Still waiting, 5 days later... I'm closer to their warehouse than anyone else chatting here. USPS IS REALLY bad! (at least my post office.. Packages literally disappear for days here.. Maybe Im on some sort of list, and 'the man' is inspecting all of my boxes personally for me, or something..)

Same.. I hit submit yesterday.. but accidentally left it w/ USPS shipping, instead of UPS.. I have horrible service w/ my post office. Packages sit in limbo for days.. I think my delivery guy is lazy, and if his bag is full, the boxes don't get delivered.

Those 40** chips are sensitive! Ive ordered some new ones, but don't know if they will work. (people have mixed results, depending on what brands/batches they try, apparently) I think I've got the clock pulse coming from the 4070.. I measure something w/ my scope.. it's only swinging a couple of volts, and is faster than I expected... ~ 1us pulses. Not sure if that's right...

Here in the midwest US, I think about 1/3 of the population would think your faith in prophecy is a good thing :D heh... It's at least semi normal.. no worries about the psychs :)

Ive just finished mine, and have no noise output... I think due to the 4006's.. a lot of people who get the same parts kit I did seem to be having this problem :(

Im thinking about having a 19" panel made.. just have the controls over to one side.. the dead space behind the other part of the panel would be where the aouts and filters get mounted. I'm wanting everything to fit in a rack so I can transport it w/out too much effort...

Ive been wondering the same thing.. Only thing I get mad about here is sometimes I wish it were more active.. (I wish there were more less experienced people asking the questions before I need to :) )

at least UPS is accountable.. I've had USPS lose packages, even "secure registered mail" and NO ONE is accountable.. thye're just like, oh, sorry... We'll be happy to screw you over next time, too.

I do have the seqv3 and aout, so it's a bit midibox, too.. just not in that pic. Also, can't wait for the new midibox cv! That'll give us tons of modulation sources, EG's, which I'm not opposed to being digital.. then leave the analog for the audio path. Should make future expansion easier.

I'm remodeling my basement and workshop, and am in the same situation.. I'm finding parts all over the place, and even a complete module! I just posted a pic of my modular.. should be in the galery. I'll take it out in a few days as it's not exactly midibox....

That's great! I used to fly rc planes, but no camera.. I designed and built the planes from scratch, but never could ever really fly them well. (compared to friends) Maybe I need to try it from the pilot's position w/ a camera.. That looks like a lot of fun!

Any new news on the filter boards? My ssm's are taunting me :)
