  1. I made a little (windows) app for that a while back. I'll see if I can dig it up :)

"nILS" - Is there anything he cant do?

Are you sure you're not TK's long lost son?

Ye seem to push the envelope a lot further than anyone can imagine.

  2. sammichSID Production Update

Ponoko have officially disappointed me... they were supposed to be totally ready to start making my order for 20 cases about 7 days ago (i.e. have material ready and have already waited in the queue) but they err... umm... ahh... forgot. So I have been assured they'll be made on Monday and I'll have them next week. So maybe next Friday (20th Nov) I can actually post batch #1. Whee!

Batch #2 pre-orders have been requested to send order confirmations. Some people are still not replying to that email. I may have to swap them with batch #3 pre-orders. If I told you that you were in batch #3 or #4 and you read this (and are keen to jump the queue), send me an email and I'll move you up the queue if possible. (Nagging me in this thread will not work).

Also... I needed to buy some T-shirts and send one to nILS... so in case anyone else is also crazy enough to wear one (and wants to make me LMAO), you can haz one too! ;) (btw there are multiple background colour and style options for each colour of print.)

    **snip**

    NEED

    MOAR

    MB tshirts.

Ill have an MB-6582 shirt thank you.

  3. hi,i am always in for 5 as i 've written in the prof list ,regards

Cheers boops, ill transfer the list to the wiki, as soon as i have worked all this stuff out, and im ready to order.

Ill most likely create a new thread when im ready to take names, just to keep it clean.

I got some good advice and info from the TheProf also, cant beat asking someone with experience.

I'm also writing a Guide to Bulk Orders in the Wiki:

    http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=how_to_organize_a_bulk_order

Any suggestions and contributions are welcome, feel free to edit it.

  4. Nice! That is indeed better then ordering from PBE.

    I want one :)

Should we make a list in the wiki?

    Or just post here?

Or send PMs to you Smithy?

Yeah wiki + email when we reach 25 will be good.

Ill have to find out the total weight of the package,

and the cheapest and best way of packing these things also.

Not to mention paypal fees, this will be my first time organizing a bulk order,

and i think it would be best to write a guide to doing them also in the wiki.

I'll PM TheProf for some of the info i'll need.

  5. Cheers Flip.

Just spotted some good news on RS.

"Orders for Global Range items with a total value of less than €100 are subject to an additional shipping & handling charge of €15.60"

Click here, look on the right hand side.

This additional charge is free since we'll be ordering more than €100 euro worth of PT-10s.

Some other good news is that there is no standard shipping charge either,

i.e from RS to my house, because there is free shipping on all orders over €100.

Its only €4.40 for anything under €100 anyway which is really good.

I have confirmed this by looking at the total in the checkout.

So if we order 25 or more of these babies,

the price per PT-10 including VAT is €16.80.

Then its a matter of adding on the cost of postage and packaging from Ireland.

  6. Flemming just pointed out that products with the "Global Range" status,

must be shipped in from Texas, and additional costs apply.

I will find these out tomorrow.

PBE in germany also sell this case for about 18 euro inc VAT according to an old post on the x0xb0x forum:

    http://www.pbe-shop.de/shop/448.html

If anyone in germany reading this could request a quote from them it would be great.

I'd imagine PBE stock them directly, so it would be much better to buy from them instead,

instead of waiting for RS to get them in stock after you order, and having to pay extra for the inconvenience. :ahappy:

  7. combining the two is not only very redundant, it's a bit of a wasted opportunity.

    [:clover: post warning]

Not to mention the weird shape it could end up, like a half pyramid or something:

    spl_pyramidhalfwedge26_360x240.gif

Otherwise you'd end up with a lot of unnecessary space around the CS panel if you had to have it square.

I guess if someone else wanted a Sammich Base PCB only, they could both combine their orders, lol.

  8. Hi Seppel,

if u like those old electronic instruments u´ll find here some more old cool electronic stuff:

    http://120years.net/

    Best regards,

    clem!

Weird, i found this on another forum and was just talking about it in the chat today.

Never knew it was the first commercial synthesizer, funny how moog seem to have got all the credit isnt it?

And whats even more striking is that its polyphonic.

Another guy bought one from Marc Doty recently, and is restoring his one too:

    http://www.vintagesynth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=51703

  9. The PT-10 case is cheaper on the Irish RS site:

    http://radionics.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=2508440591

    15 @ €17.03 Ex VAT

    25 @ €13.82 Ex VAT.

Prof what weight are these thingies?

Irish post is probably more expensive than Royal Mail,

    the rates are here:

    http://www.anpost.ie/AnPost/MainContent/Business+Customers/Sending+Mail/Standard/StandardPost.htm

    What do ye think?

  10. Where do you live again ping?

I am living in California in the U.S,

bla bla, something about not minding to send orders internationally as he has done before

Im just about to start my mb-6582 baseboard, and when I'm done i'll be ready to do the bulk order for the C.S. (or something)

Thats cool,in the meantime, the rest of us can go looking for bargains on sites,

    for this bulk order.

I guess that 6 month programming course came in handy after all,

it allowed me to find this code funny.  :P

  12. Now the only thing I need to find out is how to change the bank with Cubase. I can change my patch, but not my bank. Probably I need to select the ensemble menu first, but I don't know how to do this with Cubase SX 4.

    Back to the Manual.  ;)

Are you familiar with midi control changes (CC's)?

The first one in the parameter chart page of the manual allows you to select the bank:

    http://svnmios.midibox.org/filedetails.php?repname=svn.mios&path=%2Ftrunk%2Fapps%2Fsynthesizers%2Fmidibox_sid_v2%2Fdoc%2Fmbsidv2_cc_chart.txt

Now, im not too sure how you can send a Midi control change from within Cubase.

With fruity loops theres a MIDI Out plugin, which lets you select which bank you want to use.
