  1. sahira says she likes them very much and you can contact his father to ship them over here

Yea, "Sahira" likes them!  ;D  :P

That was funny actually in Slice's documentary on Richie Hawtin.

Richie Mother was saying that the father would say "hey lets get this toy for Richie".

A few months later then his dad would open it up to see whats inside it!  :)

  2. Might be doable. The PCB will most likely be split cause a 60cm wide PCB is a major pain to handle. This has no real priority to me though as an in-studio rack-mount version sorta defeats the purpose of the concept ;-)

Even if it cant be rack mountable i think a stand alone version should still be considered for people who dont want the keyboard.

At least if theres the option of both youll have more people interested.

  3. Speak n Math, Speak n Spell II, countless other toys, about 16 SmashTV boards, 25 Motorfaders, about 200 illuminated switches, 2 MB6582 Base PCBs, 2 ReBote delays, 2 SansAmp clone boards... All awaiting me to do SOMETHING with them! A lot of spent bench space, not a lot of activity... Glad to hear I'm not the only one in the world who needs to take time off work for "shed time"!

    You big bender.  ;)

  4. Yes, bit of a shame. There's nothing to stop you from getting some white knobs and painting the stripes another colour though. I would think that some sort of (UV?) spray paint would work well if you used a brush to apply it.

That might be an idea alright.

Is there any good manufacturer sites for knowbs out there? Colourful ones?

Ive searched global spec but the sites ive looked at had pretty boring types.

Would love something similar to the Albs.

  5. MBSID trumps ALL. With V2 playing back psid, it is absolutely cutting edge!

Midibox - I've never seen so much detail in DIY hard, firm and software, and I don't think I will. This makes me happily and willingly devote much of my life to MB.

Agreed, its a very complex synth indeed.

I wonder whats in line for V3?  ;)

Maybe TK will add a SEQ, for more convenient programming of the drums & bassline mode, sort of like the MB-808!

    Hehe.  :)

  6. On smash's site he has a really great board map for each module.

    Go here:

    http://www.avishowtech.com/mbhp/info.html

Click on core module, and on sid module, or whatever module youre soldering components too.

If you hover the cursor over a component in the picture, it tells you what component it is.

Its really cool, and simple to follow.

Thats all i can help you on im afraid, i havent finished the optimisied C64 PSU circuit yet.  :P

my dogs got into the kit and chewed up a good number of parts

That made me laugh, lol! Sorry to hear about that.

  7. gWho can insult me in the cleverest fashion....

Drool i havent insulted you once in this thread, in fact i actually backed you up with regards insults...

yet you seem to ignore my posts.

    Please answer me this.

Why wont you use your Statutory rights, and get a refund for being totally ripped off?  ???

If you did this from the start, then youd have a much better chance of buying a SEQ legally in the future.

Anyone can request to sell a Midibox, and once TK believes there is no profit to be gained and that its positive for the community, he will nameize the sale.

He has done this many times already, and he would do it again.

Now go demand that refund before its too late, for your good, and the good of the midibox community!

If the seller gives you any hassle whatsoever, you can claim with the Ebay buyers defense.

It only takes one minute to do this, and your claim will be investigated.

And we'll all be there to back you up, and get you the justice you deserve as a customer.

  8. if he's being friendly and honest, then he will no doubt help you with your issues.

If the dealer was being friendly and honest, he would not of sold you that illegal product in the first place Drool.

Please dont back up the dealer, the truth is:

He screwed you over, and badly too.

Not only is it illegal, but the product is faulty also.

If i were you, i would defend my rights as a customer to get refunded for a poorly built product, that is a breach of license.

Cant you see its the correct thing to do?

  9. I will re-emerge for a correction of the facts. As stated in my original post, and repeated - I did NOT know that these were not supposed to be resold when I purchased it. I purchased it because I had heard about the sequencer. I only found out later about this prohibition. At least if I am to be a villain, villainize me with the facts.

If we show you the facts, will you then send back this illegal product?

Its the honest thing to do and you'll be respected for it.

  10. 1. You can't get him on our side. If he had any motivation to be on our side, he would not have bought something he knew was against our spirit. See his first post, the title of this thread, etc. He seemed to pre-empt our reaction to his illegally obtained MIDIbox from the start.

In this case it does seem like a lost cause alright, i agree.

But i think if someone comes on here in the future, who actually didnt know it was illegal when buying it,

    and found out afterwards....

Lets not do a "Playbo$$" and jump down their throats straight away!
