Today's haul: Yet another 12HE rack. Must solder moar!
-
I want a Buchla 208. And 4 Serge WADs. Plus 2 to 4 JH FS1. Why is some of the expensive gear so cool?

Time and money. The only things one truly has. The next planet will be one giant interactive synth :)
-
Time and money? sigh! I haven't both :(
-
Yup! Therein lies the big joke. Ambition and all the rest is usually there, except for the two small things: Time and money.
-
Soldering. Listening to Nitzer Ebb. Aggro much?

soldering should be combined with whatever music fits the job best :)
-
here's what should my bro should listen to while soldering.
-
Haha! Today I'll pick
-
I was supposed to solder today, but no! The Radias snared me in a web of awesome sound... Kids, build stuff. Don't make music :)

Tru dat! Must get cracking with the iron again :D That Korg thing and a Shruthi made an addictive combo...
-
Korg thing? Monotron?
-
Ooh, those too :) Radias Radias Radias... Pure bliss!

Modular building tip: When done, get a Mohawk and go viral. #Nasa-Mohawk-Guy

you´re right man, btw. when USA would revoke all tax exceptions that have been granted for churches and churchlike-enterprises, they could send a rover every two weeks :)
-
Haha, that would imply that preachers and religious guys would have to actually work and think instead of snitching away people's money with bogus claims... But hey, let's dream on!
-
Regardless, they did get the Curiosity rover landed! Organized religion, meh! War on shampoo: suxxorz! TSA can go suck eggs.
-
Life is good, ate some Buffalo Wings and the GM5 chip list is soon at 200 chips! Get yer ass in there so that we reach 250!

Some say I have too much MIDI gear... Ack pfft!
-
too much midi gear....never known this condition ;)
-
I only used 2 so far. But thank god i have 3 more in stock ;)
-
Ugh! Time to stock up on those really hard to get ICs. Analog mayhem will ensue. Danm, this will become expensive like nothing else I've built...

Darn, how did you get your hands on a pioneer run. Or am i sleeping and missed a thread on the forum? :-)
-
punches self...yes i did.
-
Gotta check-in often, or these things pass you by. But, there will be more :D
-
Help needed! Push the number of chips over 250 so that more people get the awesomest MIDI interfaces. http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=tk_gm5_bulkorder

Hehe. I'm also in for 4 already, but I will also put in a few others there :). But is this interface relatively future proof?
-
Doesn't need driver under OSX, has W7/64 drivers. IDK about Win 8 yet. I have to test it using my camera connexion kit and the iPad...
-
;) If it's W7 64, I'm all in for more of them. I might just store a few extra chips, in case the supply dries up for real :).

Only 1 more day until holidays!

Depends on the weather :)
-
yeah! I also has summer holliday now - and as much as I love the weller, the flexifoil (and me also) has to have it's air time :D. Wrong wind contidions nowdays though...
-
Dalarna this week, so I'll do some work with my hands. No soldering until next week... Le sigh.
-
Received my "lost" SRX card that had been sitting@Bundespost between the 16th and 25th doing nothing. Finally my 5080 has 4 SRX cards and 4 JV cards.
-
yes, i also hate these packet timeouts :) (recently had a missing parcel from china, that was stuck in switzerland for 4 weeks)
-
4 weeks! Sheesh, and I got jumpy... Hate packet collisions :) Today, just recently I bought a MIDIpal from MI in a nice alu chassis. Yum! Will only eat yogurt a while nao...

Cutting pots. Yuck! There has to be a better way than a saw or a Dremel!

-
OR. you could grab a piece of wood, drill some holes in it that the shaft fit into. Make the wood just thick enough to make whatever u're cutting off poke out the other end, and saw it off using an angle cutter or some similar tool. Then u can do several at the time without hazzle...
-
progress on the modular! great :)
-
Yup! Too much living in the way, but now... Summertime and sometimes bad weather...
-
Totally not MIDIbox: Had an epiphany, updated to Reason 6.5 and purchased the Fairlight Platinum Refill for my 80's cravings and more. Awesome stuff! http://bitley.laconicsounds.net/
-
Testing my universal USB programmer. Works with PICs, Flash, EPROM so far :)
-
Smells like a win. Will there be even moar gear soon? Sniff sniff...

Thanks! :)
-
I soo want one! It's not vintage Korg or Roland overpriced :)
-
Interesting yeah. I have never tried a chroma. On the other side this sounds awesome!
-
Yes I'd wish they'd fix the wires 'cause my baby don't know that I'm leaving in the morning and I'm ready to go
-
Just found some missing bits for the modular... Time to clean house and take inventory :p

I'm remodeling my basement and workshop, and am in the same situation.. I'm finding parts all over the place, and even a complete module! I just posted a pic of my modular.. should be in the galery. I'll take it out in a few days as it's not exactly midibox....
-
Nom nom nom! I'm getting there. My modular uses a MB-seq v4 as sequencer, MIDI to CV so it's somewhat MIDIbox :)
-
I do have the seqv3 and aout, so it's a bit midibox, too.. just not in that pic. Also, can't wait for the new midibox cv! That'll give us tons of modulation sources, EG's, which I'm not opposed to being digital.. then leave the analog for the audio path. Should make future expansion easier.

Tax return arrived! GAS GAS GAS! Hmm... Can I say no to myself?
- Show previous comments 8 more
-
But I don't know how to control it, I get tax returns, normal pay from work plus a extra pay for holliday (12% of all I earned last year), and that is similar to getting 3 month's pay at the same day :). Need to put the money where I can't see it or else the GAS will kill everyone around me :P

Yes, definetly SARC for me too sometime this summer. Haha.

If it's free it's for me ;) They launched a new B2B department with a fancy showroom so there was a raffle for a 60" 3D plasma and cheap prices. I grabbed Game of Thrones on BD for 30€. Mothers Day gift :)
