Just ordered the altered case design from formulor. Fingers crossed i did not make any mistakes

Thanks for sharing Altitude!

For those who find it interesting, the Lemur app is now on sale. That means it's 50% cheaper atm. I bought it yesterday for 21,50 Euro.
The wintersale lasts till 19 Jan 2014.

Thanks for sharing Martin. I haven't tried the bank yet, but as TK has already put it in the next MB FM release it must be good

I think Seppoman is the only one with the schematic file in Eagle. Copying it from the pdf is probably the best option and not that much work i think.

I seem to remember a similar question before. There are actually several. But this answer from seppoman (designer/dev of the aout_ng module) answers most of your questions:

I don't know where I can upload those and put some information, some kind of a blog maybe?

Just a suggestion, since FM based synthesis is hard to edited manually, wouldn't it be a good idea to design a frontpanel control later? first let people try like thru Lemur preset what is working? I think this is the reason why Thorsten's MBFM frontpanel is quite minimal in comparison to MBSID. FM is not like an analog synth where parameters make sense, you will have more chance of having a nice patch by using the random patch generator.

Is your computer properly grounded?
-
The mois_tables.inc referes to setup_midibox16e.asm for setup of encoders. Since it is already setup for 16 encoders i don't think you need to change anything.

Hi Shuriken,
Thanks for your reply
I followed the diagram http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_dinx4_16enc.pdf
The pdf says:
MIOS based controllers: just chain it with the DINX4 button modules @J9!!!
I edited the picture to show you what i mean.
-
Shouldn't you connect the DIN1x for switches to J9 and then the DINX4 for the encoders to the DINX1 from the switches? Just as it says in the comment of the pdf you linked to.
Just like in this picture, just leave out the led and ledrings.

Hola,
there is just one manufacturer, that I cannot recommend - don´t buy any M-Audio FastTrack USB MIDI/Audio device...
Their drivers under Win7/64 have certainly made me walk away from using a computer and now quite exclusively use the MIDIbox SEQ V4 :-). When seen from that perspective, that company is not all that bad
Many greets,
Peter
M-Audio is indeed a nightmare driver wise. So how do you record your songs then? You cannot do that with the SEQ V4 ;-)
-
I don't have any recommendations, as i do not own a usb audio interface. As for suggestions, i would personally go for one of these three:
The RME is pretty expensive. However they have very solid driver support. So you can use it for a long time to come. But then again you could probably pickup a new focusrite or roland in two years and even save some money.

Yeah, same thing here. I am basically waiting to solder them until i have a frontpanel so that i can line them up properly. But like you i have been waiting for that spark. I did generate a box a while back (can't remember which website). But after some troubles with converting the box pdf to svg i kinda parked the project

Do those switches fit on the pcb nicely? The ones on the bom from reichelt just fit so so. I think the footprint is a bit off on those.
-
when i first put those on it was pretty clear that there needed to be something to fill the cutout. Solution: anti static bags, transparent when looking directly at them, silver when at an angle
Ah ok, i thought you maybe made it with 2 pieces of acrylic behind eachother. But this is much cheaper and looks great.
Did you use the 1SBLK caps?
-
Looks nice Altitude. I like the tight design.
Edit:
Just saw the new pics in the gallery. That v4L on the side looks awesome

18F452 should still work. You just cannot enable an AOUT module anymore. You do get a lot more features with the 18F4685. I think the random patch generator is something you do not want to miss out on.

Hello
Christian have work for a single PCB.
You can found here the eagles files boards in the download aera
Has anyone build this already?
-
I need a couple as well. But i am not in a big hurry. So if me ordering another 4 takes your order over 100 dollar, i am willing to participate. Otherwise i am gonna wait until i need something more. Paying more shipping costs then for parts feels wrong ;)

I see some potential problems with this idea:
