      No, all software is and remains open source, as freely available as all schematics on ucapps.de - on which everything MIDIbox is based. Some PCB designs are proprietary and are not shared, but that has been the case since ages, at least since the first MBSEQv4 boards 10 years ago...

      And i would totally recommend the Noritakes! The Futabas might not be entirely compatible regarding timing. I managed to get them working in the end, but performed some display driver hacking back then, many years ago, it should be documented in the build thread... :-)

      but as you are asking: Futaba VFD M402SD10FJ

      more info in the "ebony seq vfd tutorial", just google it :-).

      Yup, another observation: the old gallery pictures are available to the new forum software, but they seem to not have been pre-scaled for the forums output-size, that's why we only see a black frame when viewing them. An albeit destructive tip is to rotate-right, rotate-left, then they are visible. Unfortunately, this will mess with image clarity, as JPEGs are lossy...
