cimo Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 .. here you go : Cimo, wearing the MidiPunk t-shirt designed by Nils Podewsky, and Karlos having a beer at the cafe of the MACBA (Museum of Conteporary Arts Barcelona, yeah where Sonar by day sets up) during the www.influencers.org . cheers!
Wilba Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 T-shirt designed by nILS after I proposed the idea of a MIDIbox T-Shirt and then proposed a skull with MIDI sockets for eye sockets. It's all my idea, mine, mine, mine! Somebody owes me some royalties... ;D
cimo Posted March 13, 2008 Author Report Posted March 13, 2008 yeah yeah sure, it s not even yours i ve seen it (just the original skull) in some t-shirts and backpacks :P :P wh9o actually know where it comes from?
nILS Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 It totally was Wilba's idea - I just did what I do - I copied it :D
stryd_one Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Wicked to see your face - mine fits into the "don't supply evidence" basket ;)The skull is from the punisher comicsI started working on a graffiti styled version of the idea too, and I've been sourcing environmentally friendly high quality t-shirts to do a run of them... later :)Edit: The keys teeth is my idea - the rest was stolen from Wilba ;D
Screaming_Rabbit Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 ... the fact that human heads have sculls under their skin was my idea... ääähhmm... at least I think so. - Anyway... so the whole logo is based on a scull which means, it was actually my idea. ;D ;D ;D :PCool T-Shirt, Logo, Creators, Copright owners...Greets, Roger
nILS Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Oh yeah, the teeth are totally striddie's idea - I just did what I do - I copied it :D
Sasha Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 I like that logo. A must have for MIDI geeks! Who screened it? I was working in screen rinting company, and I never seen we did anything cool that I would really like to wear. Nills, are you willing to share the vectors, or must I steal it and redraw it from scratch myself? ;D
nILS Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Nah, I'll share the vectors :D The .zip file contains an .svg with various versions (round eyes, evil eyes, key-teeth...)midi_punisher_skull.zipmidi_punisher_skull.zip
cimo Posted March 13, 2008 Author Report Posted March 13, 2008 I like that logo. A must have for MIDI geeks! Who screened it? DIY ! of course!
Sasha Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Did you used screen printing technique or stencil? I used to cut stencil out of PVC and hand painted it, and I also used to make things like this out of muflon... velvet-like material that can be cut with scalpel and applied as a sticker. After that you fixate it with the iron. Quick technique but not resistive as paint. ;) I might take some pics when I back home.
Goblinz Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 I have a friend who works in a small Tshirt printing company. Could maybe ask for a price on getting a few of these made up... not sure what the minimum order is though. G
cimo Posted March 13, 2008 Author Report Posted March 13, 2008 i used some special paper sheet for home screenprinting, you print with a inkjet printer, cut at will, remove the back side and iron on textil with the help of a silicone sheet
Sasha Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Cool. I heard of that, but never used it. How durable it is? I don`t mean compared with textile paints... more like, will it stand to wash 10 times?
Kartoshka Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Nils, are you willing to share the vectors, or must I steal it and redraw it from scratch myself? ;DI just did what I do - I copied it :Dboys, try this in future: very VERY useful util for logos or simple/complex image vectorizing.http://vectormagic.com/////kind of edit: SHIT!!!!! they begun taking money for the service..... it's great tool, anyway - used it a lot before it became commercial.
cimo Posted March 13, 2008 Author Report Posted March 13, 2008 @ sasha it will stand quite long assuming you take a little care (no 90 degrees washing)@ kart can t you just do the same with vectorial programs and a bit of work?
Sasha Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Thank you cimo.In case you don`t know about, here is the great vector database... everybody can download or upload logos! Such a great website! I love it!This is my music project logo: http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/search/43661073/120827.html
nILS Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 http://vectormagic.com/Well, any vector graphics program will do that... For instance: INKSCAPE! Go download inkscape, everyone!
