amp1ron Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 The resistance taper for these is listed as 1B. Is that linear or log?Is there any place that's easy to find touch-sensitive knobs/caps for these? Quote
nILS Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 1. Google: "taper a b potentiometer"2. click first hit:http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Ade%3Aofficial&hs=faL&q=taper+A+B+potentiometer&btnG=Suche&meta=3. Read:Taper Old Code New Code AlternateLinear A B LINLog (Audio) C A LOG[/code] Quote
amp1ron Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 I could find B, but not 1B. That is until I clicked on the Related information (http://www3.alps.com/WebObjects/catalog.woa/E/HTML/Potentiometer/SlideMixers/RSN1M/RSN1M_common.html) link that's on the datasheet you linked to. 1B looks to be as linear a taper as they come. Doug Wellington Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 Yes, they are linear taper. That's the best for a motorfader with one track that is used only for control. There are some dual track motor faders where one linear taper track is for motor control, and the second track has a log taper and the audio is passed through it...FWIW, once SR finishes his new MF board, I hope to test the "K" model motor fader with it - if it works, I'll go for a group buy on them too. (RSA0K11V900C - minimum order quantity 200 - 12 week lead time - about $25 each) Quote
dougmoser Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I'm sorry, what makes these so special? Do they work with the MB6582? Quote
seppoman Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I'm sorry, what makes these so special? Do they work with the MB6582?no, but why would you want motor faders on a synth? Quote

nILS Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 no, but why would you want motor faders on a synth?Patch recall feature for analog CVs? Mixer feature, feedback? ;) Quote

Doug Wellington Posted October 26, 2008 Author Report Posted October 26, 2008 Sorry to take so long, everybody, but I just sent out PMs to the first group of people on the list. Only problem I had was that the PM editor doesn't know who "xploited" is - whoever you are, do you have a different MIDIbox name?I'm going to order the second batch of faders this week. ;D Quote
dstamand Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Oops, was in june...I removed my name from the list. I already bought a dozen from another source. Thanks. Quote
