  1. Hey T 1 - yes 2 - yes 3 - yes 4 - i used the 1.2K that was already connected and is already on board - ok? 5 - yes, but midi is still sent direct to the midi out1 as i said. cheers..again Dan
  2. lost again - when did u say connect the rx pin to 3.3V? it's connected to the midi in1 octo and a HC00 in the schem... and the 2nd octo (midi-in2) does not come in to this...
  3. Yes...all manner of midi madness A messy pcb with cut tracks, a few wires, one workin midi i/o and one fikked midi i/o...;p Edit: Hmmm, midi in seems to be okay again now but it's still sendin the input on 1 to the output 1 at the same time! argghh Ta Dan
  4. same results - garbled midi input
  5. T... you've lost me here... Why am i cutting a track in 2 places only to solder a wire back which does exactly the same as the track I just cut did! :/ I've tested the connections with DMM and they all beep good... Cheers Dan
  6. resistor part has thrown me abit - i've done this: http://www.notapplicable.co.uk/mbhp/Untitled-1.jpg
  7. cut the track now i get no input on midi in 1 EDIT: just checked midi-ox again and i'm gettin midi input - only its pretty random data...:/ cheers D
  8. Hey T... Two. neither, i connect via regular midi cables - like a standalone midi interface...so optocouplers are stuffed in both the usb module and the cores (if a midibox is plugged in) Cheers Dan
  9. Hey T... Yes, that eeprom mios core upload method worked fine :) (on a 24LC256 too) but still the prob is there :/. So it has to be connection somewhere...no idea where tho, been over n over it upteen times... Cheers
  10. Hey Guys... How's about implementing a control system on a pultec eq clone from gyraf: http://www.gyraf.dk/gy_pd/calreq/calrec.htm Could the pots and switches be replaced by digital ones and controlled via mios? (guessin a digital neg log pot might be hard to find tho ;p) Great stuff Dan
  11. Indeed - I know this and must of done it a hundred times...XP just wont install the usb module without the eeprom (which is already programmed with the firmware from b4) in the socket... Comes up with 'there was a problem installing the cypress eeprom missing driver' and summin to do with .inf file - which is the driver file... So, i'm pretty much consigned to the fact this usb module is only useful for 1 midi i/o cheers Dan
  12. Hey Duggle... I'm interested in this method, so some more info would be great :)... The idea is to eventually create a mios controlled analog desk :D Cheers Dan
  13. that aint the price no more!...from pay cs' post: Best Dan
  14. He had around 200 i think - email!! :)
  15. Heu Chriss... No probs, in fact i just saw that the person i got them from does have them on ebay! :) and it turns out it's the same seller i got those cheap pots from before!! Also, they come in at only 9EU a peice...:) So, i'm not needed anymore!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3072928993&category=12949 Best Dan
  16. Hey T... Ye, managed to extract just the drivers - but still wont install the damn thing in xp...:/ mebbe if I could a pre-programmed eeprom of sum1 with the 1.1 firmware on ;p Cheers D
  17. 2004 looks the year of the SID :) again...:P
  18. Hey T, have u got a name for these drivers - even better a link to em...I can't find em on the site Cheers Dan
  19. EU / £ is fine, sent via post or paypal :) so all those gettin - pm or email sayin how u wanna do it... Best Dan
  20. Of course not! eheh. Howzabout a gritty drum machine with a mios frontend tho? cud tie in nice with the new seq perhaps... On a dif note, those new emu pci sampler cards look pretty damn nice :) Best Dan
  21. Hey guys... Just got the 4 I originally ordered in and yes they are NOS! :D All working fine... So, this is who i've got down so far and the amount they want - let me know if this has changed: chriss - 2 Nomical - 2 ladybug - 2 NorthernLightX - 2 uclaros - 4 Perka - 4 arumblack - 2 Stigmata - 2 Scuzzle - 2 I'm gonna need some funds from u beforehand as there;s quite a bit to lay down here... Cheers Dan
  22. Hey T... I checked the tx and rx connections with a dmm (infact i checked ALL connections) with a DMM and beep good...def not a midi-ox routing prob, I even monitered it on my new midimon box... Could it be that I may ve using V1 firmware? I can't remember which 1 I burnt the eeprom with....I've since tried to upload the 1.1 but I can't get the module recognised in xp without the (already programmed) eeprom in...same prob I had before as I remember... Why would the 2 midi i/o behave okay tho? Best Dan
  23. Hey... I'm using my usb module in standlone operation and have a prob with the 1st midi i/o in that when a device is plugged in 1, it's data goes straight OUT of midi out1 at the same time too, so it's like a midi thru instead of an out...the 2nd midi i/o behaves fine... Cheers Dan
  24. I'm just wondering - if using all 8580's u only need 9VDC right so there's noneed to tie the gnd to +5 for +14V. Instead just wire from after the 7809. Can all psu parts on each SID module be removed then? They can right? - or should the 2200uF caps be left on - or should i use a bigger cap before the 7809 on the main psu circuit? Cheers Dan
  25. Cheers ppl! T, would it poss to intergrate the midi-merger into the midimon app? Best Dan
