  1. ...but still a midibox!! :) The mios midimon, housed in an old c64 datacassette box... Best D
  2. speaking of this optimised sid psu circuit - does anyone know any tricks to get 24V from it as well as? I'm trying a discreet jfet gain stage for the audio out that requires this voltage... ta Dan
  3. And with that, problem solved :) Rspx Dan
  4. Hey T, Just tried the TMP2 edit - the feedback sound still persists... Best D
  5. a .mid file for??? I only get that feedback sound when i plug the yam keyboard directly into the SID and play notes, so it seems it must be the active sensing shit yamaha uses that causes the probs as it doesnt happen when the sid is connected to a regular midi out on my midi interface... best...
  6. This is the exact sound I was gettin too when I had my yamaha (cs1x) hooked up to the quad SID (18F with 16F slaves)... On another note, just popped some 8580's in - man do these fellaz kick!! :) Best Dan
  7. Hey guys... Well, i think there's a good few there - they must be the last NOS left! I'm in London, England. Shipping shudnt be too much at all - like mebbe 5EU with secure 'signed-for' post... They're coming from Germany. I've ordered myself 4 already - just to make sure they're all good...:) Best Dan
  8. dafred, I dunno can u post some pics of ur core/ain/pot connections or summin? In my mb64 I used cheap pots from ebay (5eu for 50 or summin) and some 100mm sliders...never had any probs with jitter... How many pots are u using total? and if less then 64 have u made sure the redundent pins for the AIN on the core are tied to ground? Best Dan

    PSU on PCB

Hey... Sure :) I'll make a pcb first just be sure it works fine then send a link to the .sch and .brd files in a zip or summin, or the portal would be ideal... Nope, I havnt done a layout for the aout module - as far as i knew it's still in testing no? Tho goin well no doubt ;p Best

    PSU on PCB

Hi... Here's another layout with 4 banksticks on brd and also I made use of the other connector so u can run the AOUT module in an external box :) Untested as of yet...
  13. Well done fella! ;D Time to get some piezos in :P Best Dan
  14. my oh my oh my...:D Yes yes TK! There's the resta januray sorted :>
  15. Here's a PSU design (props to da Pilo ;p) I designed in eagle for use in my updated LC: http://notapplicable.co.uk/mbhp/lc-psu.zip It has 5V, 4.7V, (adj) 8V, (adj) -1V and power LED outputs . I'm using the cheap 40x2's from BGMicrio so the 4.7 and -1 is needed for them. TX should be a 2x9V 2A (around). This is untested as of yet however ;p... Best D
  16. I too had to change the lm317 trimpot to a 10k one and swap the resistor to a 1K to get 8V (and more ;)) for the MF...
  17. I guess this one could be a goodun to then no?: http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=480&item=PS-2133&type=store Best
  18. any of these suitable: http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=466&type=store ?
  19. from mios download section: http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_aout.pdf
  20. I think this is where the forthcoming AOUT module comes in to play...
  21. hmm, but u have panasonics motorfaders too no? these dont have touch sensor ???
  22. Hey Steve... Yup, metal shaft indeed. How and why would making the joystick touch sensor like make a diff? psu schem is based on the c4 psu TK done. wires should be okay. havn't used any capacitiors (should i just add the 100n like in the MF pdf?). no shielding. ground loops - not sure, never really known how to tell if u got them (theres no hum neway). Havnt tried any other ain deadband settings... Cheers steve, some good points there! D
  23. this all sounds pretty out there!! Hope it works!! :D
  24. I've been experiencing quite a bit of jitter with the pots in this joystick, it is quite annoying because everytime the cut/res changes values by like 1 or 2 (cos of the jitter), then menu param onscreen jumps to these params - so if ur in the middle of editing summin else ur suddenly controlling the cut/res...:/ Is there a way to just leave cut/res controls in the background? Ie, so when they're values fluctuate a lil (cos of the jitter) the LCD/menu wont change to these control but just stay as is... Cheers
  25. ok, all calm down now :) the shit that stays white on non-printed areas is decal paper - not lazertran (which does go transparent), I got the 2 confused :P This was the place I got it from: http://www.trg.co.uk/decalpaperstore/holding/index.html - but it seems closed down now, and funnily enough merged or bought by lazertran...so go have a look on the lazrtran site for regular decal paper. Dont think the finsih will be as good as lazertran tho as it's not the type that u 'burn' on (via the oven)...
