  1. this stuff looks like it could be good: http://photoezsilkscreen.com/
  2. Ye - I *had* a box with a 240x64 - that was takin apart to make way for the new. I prefer 2x40s over the glcd too as u can have the info on screen aligned perfectly with the rest of the channelstrip elements (fader/buttons/encoder) - makes for a more coherent design i think...
  3. I use the 2x40's as Frank done with his 1st Beast-LC - works best for me as it's like a channelstrip...
  4. http://www.techfest.com/hardware/bus/isa.htm I think TK mentioned a mbhp-isa bridge before with regards to a awe32 - of course I have one ready n waiting ;D
  5. *bump* so, u drumming solo then eh....;p
  6. Hey... New version of that c64 psu/bankstick board - now added an aout module too. All still fits on the metal bracket thingy but untested as if yet - but if ne1 wants to just say :) Peesh
  7. this 'postcardware' app does just that - maps midi to standard keyboard controls: http://bome.com/midi/translator/
  8. as stated prior: "the panel was made from a company called Holt"....they done the cutting not me ;p I just sent em a cad design... I mean if using the autorouter it works best to first setup all ya design rules, net classses, restricted areas etc...
  9. hehe no, the lables are just filled in with colour ink....I used schaeffer for the panel this time and it all went quite smoothly I must say :)
  10. magic?
  11. Cheers Roger :) Dunno whats up with the portal - u wait around uppin summin then nuffin, nada, zilch - page just stays as is and dun tell u where the file has gone... So, here's a .rar archive of all the PDFs - I combined all the schems to single PDF, the rest are 'as is': http://www.notapplicable.co.uk/audiolab/HUI.rar Peesh
  12. heyhey... Could u send this way too? d2k@yesmate.com I'll make it available via the portal if need be :) Cheers Dan
  13. Cheers folks... Here's some pix of the spare pcb's I got - the min order q was 3 (used 4pcb.com): Was my first proper eagle outing, and all was autorouted - it's the setting up prior to routing which is key :) D
  14. Heyhey... Got my seq v2 more or less there - just waiting on front panel :). I've got a 3 digit 7segment display (propz to driftz ;p) which I had room for and thought would be ideal for BPM value... Here's the technical stuff: Easily done? Cheers Dan
  15. Hey... That effects box on captain hastings sites looks quite commercial - is it? Would be nice if he could talk about that digital pot MIOS intergration some more - Im sure alot of other mb users wud like to hear too! Dan

  19. any news/updates on this - still a go'er? Best Dan
  20. Hey.... I think I payed £20 for mine of ebay ;) Control surface/MIOS wise all I wanted to be able to do was just make use of the QS300 mode and lef out the XG malarky (for now anyways)... I've found that QS patches using 1 and 1+2 elements are 392 bytes and patches using 1+2+3+4 elements (split accross 2 parts/voices) are 527 bytes (2 x 232 byte dumps and 7 x 9 byte msgs). Now it seems u cant edit any QS params in realtime - it has to redump the whole patch after a param has been changed instead :/. So, this is where I thought MIOS could work it's magic perhaps - mebbe if it can hold the current QS patch in memmory and forward the param under physical control to the appropriate byte in the patch instead of resending it all everytime. I'm just shooting in the dark here... Cheers Dan
  21. Hey LO... Dont think USB has enough current to handle all that (think it's like 200mA or summin) - mebbe if lef out the backlight on the LCD it be coo? Dunno tho...
  22. Hey T... Would it be possible to have the menu encoder scroll thru bank params on the lcd (ie, banks could contain various amount of available params - say 4-12) like you have implemented with the SID app? Cheers Dan
  23. Hey... I whiped up this midi and audio i/o interface for the db50xg (old but good synth daughterboard). it's a balanced line out and has a core and part of an ltc module all on brd - the sound quality is great :) I used a A500 psu for power... Now on to a custom MIOS application that makes use of the features this card has - but where to start??? Peesh D
  24. y0 steve! just seen the latest on diy ;) ur gettin shit cut already huh! even if it aint great quality great to see stuff happening....!! Keep us posted!! Best Dan
  25. Hey Axel... Nice one with the intergrated shuttlexpress ;) but where are the 5 buttons it has? Have u rewired them to sumwhere else? The analog i/o - I'm too planning a much bigger LC and thought an intergrated passive summin mixer would be ideal :) Also, the meterbridge u have there - what i/o is that monitoring? Still stunned... D
