1. All correct man. Someone's been doing their homework! ;D
2. Don't blame me if this makes the universe implode but, I'm pretty sure you have to use the 6581 hex, because the 8580 hex has extra features that would make the 6581 chip malfunction.
3. OH AWESOME!
4. Awesome. I'm going to put Mac support on my CV now. ;D
5. Welcome aboard Angel :) You'll have to make your own panel, but it's not so hard. You can find the .FPD files for frontpanel express's software on the ucapps.de page, and if you like someone's custom layout maybe they will be so kind as to share the files with you, or of course you can make your own design if you want. You can find lots of tips by searching the midibox of the week forum.
6. Did you modify it for the correct number of AINs? AUAIMBCTG?
7. MSfW? Do we really care if it works under vista anyway? So far dendy is the only one to use it around here that I know of ... Sorry dendy this next part isn't aimed at you in particular, it's just my professional opinion (and that of the majority of large corporations through to small businesses and government departments the world over) Vista is for monkeys. With the amount of teething problems it has, you are looking at a couple of hours on average, possibly much, much more, to get your apps working. It offers little advantage if any, and the machine required to run vista would outperform it when running XP as the reduced overheads contribute to the performance of the XP box. Taking into account the few corner cases where apps are specifically written with vista in mind and may outperform the same box running XP, you still have to spend those couple of hours and possibly much more, getting your apps to work. If you have a job, you're better off just buying a faster CPU with that time/money, than to spend that time/money fighting bugs. This may change in the future (I'm sure it will, if only when Win7 comes along) but right now, those are the facts. Vista is time/money (same thing) ineffective. Hence, vista is for monkeys.
8. 1) You can upload a new hex file via midi to be sure 2) Why is it ID6? To use the change_id app, you just set the ID in the asm file. There are comments in there explaining the use of the app. I'll give you a hand if you get stuck of course :)
9. Huh? Did it just start working like that, without a reinstall? That's good! Would be nice to know what happened though....
10. You can either attach them that way, or you can link to something offsite using the button above. The button looks like this: http://www.midibox.org/forum/Themes/Midibox/images/bbc/img.gif And the code I used to embed that image looks like this:
11. Your code is correct - this maybe a hardware error I think. Can you try the ain64_din128_dout128 app?
12. Yeh you just need a simple app to do midi-cv conversion, and then anything can control it. EG http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,10676.0.html But that's talk for another thread :)
13. Sure, here's a PDF :)
14. Sorry dude, wish I knew more about macs :( Good luck!
15. Wow, a real handyman huh ;D Rock on dstamand...
16. Surprisingly, no... I mean obviously you need to push them once or twice to "get to know them" but it' s pretty clear to feel when they're closed... The resistance of the switch pushing against your finger seems to increase exponentially once you pass the throw point. If you brush against them or lightly bump them, they won't close, but if you push them with any kind of deliberate force they'll close, and you can tell when they do.
17. See, memory like a goldfish... A day after I write it, I forget how it functions ;D I was actually thinking of calling it a different way but that works! [me=stryd_one]does the "it's working" dance[/me] I think you guys oughta be using the new structure though...makes it a lot easier to try the new .c files too :)
18. I don't remember offering those jamie ;)
19. 1) Can you paste code? I might have trouble guessing it exactly ;) 2) There's no suchanimal as a CC note.... You mean CC channel, number or value? void AIN_NotifyChange(unsigned char pin, unsigned int pin_value) __wparam { MIOS_MIDI_BeginStream(); MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut(0xb0); MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut(0x0b); MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut(0x7f); // or whatever you wann send MIOS_MIDI_EndStream(); } That's all you need.... I'm guessing yours is more like MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut(pin_value); ?
20. Uhm... I think that left me with more questions than answers :D I mean... like who's gonna do it? (the cutting/bending/paiting) how are you hiding the screws?
21. Knowgood, I'm replying to your trolling elsewhere. I'd split all the junk off this thread but I'm not a mod in here, maybe if you'd like to show neb's thread some respect you'll do it yourselves...
22. I guess we did lose something in the move ;)
23. Looks sweet! How are you making the case?
24. Really? I had 6 posts in 'unread', right before the outage, and 6 posts there, afterwards....
25. The rush on these seems to have slowed, so I'm gonna fire off an email soon to get proper pricing. If anyone else is kinda thinking about it or whatever, let me know. In case it's not already obvious, I am taking a pretty relaxed and flexible stance on how this bulk order will run. If you need more structure/speed/whatever, just let me know, I'll sort it out :)
