There was no chat - that was an hallucination. You must have really been feeding out for a fix, dude. Edit: what did I do while it was down? I cut code of course!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D You have no idea! At least a half dozen people have tried with no joy at all... I was about to start canvassing newsgroups he frequents, in attempt to find him :D Thanks Lyle (and Jeff if you read this)
Or you could have just searched the wiki ;) Counting from 0 is the norm though... You always need to use this function when using DOUTs, and that is explained in the programming examples which are found on the ucapps.de download page and the C page too. Moral of the story: search ;)
2 ains and 4 douts = 2 knobs and 4 leds. You have two AIN MODULES and 4 DOUTx4 MODULES. Especially when incorrect terminology has already been used and confusion already abounds ;D
I think the point here is; if things go smoothly as they should, then everything is fine...but if they screw up, futurlec are known for handling it poorly. It should be noted that this is a two-year-old thread that was resurrected. Things change...
Why not go all-SMD then? It seems a shame to make it difficult for people to solder, just for these two chips... There are many holes on the board, a few more is a small consideration...
If you want it to look pretty, cut a slit along the back side of the cable with a scalpel, slide the wire out of the insulation, cut it short, and crimp the IDC onto the empty insulation. Noone will know.... or better yet, wrap and heatshrink it ;)
