  1. Guess which dancer is mrcam. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOvqF4ZPDNM
  2. Which is what I meant ;-) This what a test. Stryd passed.
  3. "MIDI Box SID" -> "MIDIBox SID" ;) And I would change the tool for that logo, cause right now it won't be a fully engraved area, but a collection of lines. And I absolutely agree on what Wilba said. Another thing: Are you absolutely sure you need 14mm holes for the encoders? Also you might want to add a little bit of tolerance to the LED holes. 3.0mm might be a bit tight.
  4. Are you sure everyone has your phone number yet? I could post it here, if ya wanna :-)
  5. *phew* :-)
  6. Do you expect a serious answer to that?
  7. There seem to be lots of problems with MIDIbox SID PSUs - here's a simple tested and working alternative. It's what I used in the fnpSID and it works nicely w/o any problems. Read before you build: - Input is any 9VAC wallwart. A 12VAC wallwart will work, but you'll prolly want heatsinks on both vregs. DC wallwarts might work, but you'd wanna be careful to stay in the ~10-13V limit. - This circuit will only work for 6582As and 8580s. Don't replace the 7809 with an 7812 and expect the 7805 to not get extremely hot. - Since the 5V are taken off the 9V rail all current drawn on the 5V rail goes through the 7809 as well. That's why you shouldn't use that circuit on big projects (as in a full mb6582 or anything else with a big CS). The biggest I've used it in is a dual core, quad SID environment with a 20x2 backlit LCD. This still works w/o heatsinks. Enjoy. mbSID_PSU_sch+brd.zip mbSID_PSU_sch+brd.zip
  8. Welcome aboard MrTrebus! ;) You're first name doesn't happen to be "Hans" by any chance? Oddly contrary to Wilba's statement in some thread I can't seem to find the .dxf on the Wiki :o This might help though: http://rnd.psychonauticresearch.com/6582Panels/6582Panels-DXF.zip found here http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,12676.msg106871.html#msg106871. You might wanna read the whole thread to make sure that's really what you are looking for.
  9. You could get the 5V off the +12V rail via vregs, but @ 300mA that's not gonna do much good. But since a 9VAC-11VAC wallwart is pretty much all you need, I don't see what all the fuss is about anyways.
  10. 5.2VDC on a 5VDC rail isn't necessarily a problem. It might well be a combination of a PSU that's a tiny bit off and a voltmeter that's a bit off.
  11. I think you've passed that point a while back ;) Probably caused by your approaching the guru curse.
  12. Experiment with putting LEDs on the sides of the display. It usually helps if they've been filed down a bit to be more diffuse. I did that once on an old fax machine, when my mom complained the display was unreadable ;) I basically stole 5V off the fax's power rail, put in some resistors and 6 (iirc) LEDs along the sides of the display and made the stuff stay in place using hotglue.
  13. Embedded coffee machine? That seems to be the only feature really really missing :D I love where this goes!
  14. Oh right, I missed that. It does look like it tries to send the upload request every 2 seconds before it starts with the 0xFC. Got a different computer handy? Maybe even a gm5?
  15. Sth else that happens fairly regularly is constant reboots. There's also something on the WIKI iirc (and definitely on the forum) ;) Maybe give that a shot?
  16. What MIDI interface do you use? Is it possibly blacklisted? (See WIKI)
  17. As far as I can tell, yes. (Software sequencer controlling and stm32 based software synth).
  18. You have a setup witch? Whoa. ;) "MIOS tweaking" will most likely not be necessary, just making a custom app might be a good starting point ;)
  19. neato :) mmm software synthesizers *nudge nudge*
  20. GOAT Tracker might be worth looking at. Runs on Windows, Linux (and from what I just read on a C64 as well) :-) It exports .sid files as well and iirc comes with source.
  21. mmmmmorange!
  22. Absolutely correct. Set midiox to a lower chunk size and raise the delay, repeat until it works.
  23. That's correct.
