  1. What protocol would you use? The Mackie Protocol won't deliver you the needed information to access all your controls. You can't access the AUXs while you're in EQ-Mode etc. On the other hand, using native mode, is probably not flexible enough. Greets, Roger EDIT: This topic actually should be placed in "MIDIbox HUIs"
  2. Hi Jeffrey Sorry, I saw this post a bit late but I still would like to donate. Now with the new style, where is the "donate" link? Greets, Roger
  3. It needs one radial polarized magnet in the center of the encoder spindle. The encoder works "analog", with hall elements and proximity ratio. Greets, Roger
  4. ... to upload, open the "Additional Options..." branch (in the lower left of the window). Greets, Roger

  7. http://www.ersa.de/art-0ana60a-257-1259.html Not more and not less than I need... I'm very happy with it! It's about US$ 200-300. Greets, Roger
  8. I think, the problem lies in the host's command handling. I'm not shure anymore but I think the LC sends an "off"-command, when the button is released again. He probably just has to configure the host to ignore the "off"-message, so the mute function toggles with each on command. I can configure this stuff in Sequoia... don't know how it's handled in other applications, neither I know, which app "djahan" is using. Greets, Roger
  9. Hello djahan First: In your reply on your post, you complain after 3 hours, that nobody has answered...c'mon... some of us are working, have families etc. ;) To your question: The thing is, that in the MidiBoxLC / Mackie protocol, you don't turn on e.g. the mute LED by pressing the mute button. Turning the LED on is a feedback from your host software, that the Mute function of this specific channel is engeged. This way, you can turn the mute function on by a mouse click on your host's GUI and the controller will show you this state too. So... you press Mute on your controller, which sends the message to your host (over MIDI) -> your host soft turns the specified Mute function to "true" and sends this state back to your controller (over MIDI) -> your Mute LED on the controller turns on. Hope this is a clear description Greets, Roger
  10. I don't think that anybody is expecting an excuse from your side. I rather would expect one from somebody else. Greets, Roger
  11. This topic has been moved to Bulk Orders. [iurl]http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=13937.0[/iurl]
  12. Sehr gut! Schade, dass es nicht das ist, was ich im ersten Moment gedacht hatte: "Endlich mal einer, welcher es wagte seinen Analog-Mixer zu MIDIBoxifizieren und es geschafft hat." - Trotzdem gute Arbeit. Grüsse, Roger EDIT: Typos
  13. Max 64 encoders: http://ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_midibox64e_full.gif I think I read somewhere, that additional 8 buttons can be hooked up to J5 of the core. You can link cores if you need more controls than handled by one core: http://ucapps.de/midibox_link.html Greets, Roger
  14. ... http://ucapps.de/mios/midibox_mm_v2_0d.zip Greets, Roger
  15. What is the reason not to use a AIN? You're willing to pay big bucks on Infinium faders - What speaks against AIN?
  16. ... can you shortly explain the steps and the tools you're using? I don't know nothing about 3D designing, Are you using Freeware tools? Greets, Roger
  17. ... if you look at the message - Yes. I don't like to fall into the back of moderators but on the other hand it could be inspiring for others and I bet ssl aka. "Ikea" is proud of his work and wants to show it off. Me on my side, I like looking at it while trying to find out how much time it took him to make this beautiful 3D render. Greets, Roger
  18. ... depends on you and the way you want to go. What you basically need: 1 GM5 1 Core 1 DIN Buy it from Mike or Smash (with preburned PIC), solder it, hook it together like shown on Ucapps, connect the buttons and you're done. Dump the software (with MIDIBoxE) onto it and configure the buttons. - Ready is the electronic part of your box. ... to do all this, it needs some reading (powersupply, connectors... ), nobody will explain to you step by step what's written on Ucapps. Other way to go: Connect the buttons to the LPT-port of your PC, write a simple app to convert it to MIDI and you're done. - Probably will need some reading too ;) Greets, Roger
  19. Hello Hachiko and welcome 1st: When do you need the project to be finished? Calculate enough time to learn basic electronics (you can learn this while reading the forum contributions). It's not good if you need your box done like in two month or so. Start: Read as much as you can in www.ucapps.de Surf the forum Follow the links in the forum contributions to find special tipps, tools, distributors... I would go for MIDIBox64E http://ucapps.de/midibox16e.html For the integration into GarageBand, I have no clue. - I don't even know what it is exactly. Greets, Roger
  20. ... well o.k. - I can't remember, where I have this from, that they should only be 5k. How ever then this won't be an issue. The only one we don't have evaluated now, is that you only have 60mm travel. This is very different compared with 100mm and might be an issue considering the PMW cycle-speed. (Read "History": http://ucapps.de/mbhp_mf.html) No other way than just try it. Greets, Roger
  21. Basically it should work. I don't know of anybody who already used them. As far as I remember, they are 5k instead of the usual 10k. I know of people who implemented 5k pots without motors and it was not od a problem to handle. The only possibility to find out: Buy one fader and try it out. Greets, Roger
  22. ... yes, you can. See in upper left corner ;) ...Red Text: key assignments for MIDIbox64 and MIDIbox16E Greets, Roger
  23. Yep, you could say it's a waste. - Not of the MIDIbox project but of your work. On the other hand, many have taken the way of first designing and building a small project and then took the bigger challenge. I would go for MIDIbox64E (light) http://ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_midibox64e_lc.gif For information about the Bootstraploader: http://ucapps.de/mios_bootstrap.html No problem to add a display Yes, this is correct No problem, no need to apologize :) Greets, Roger
