  2. ..they will do a nice job for you!
  3. i saw it, if the tech talking was almost unbearable the story in itself was pure crap on its highest levels, not to talk about the "special effects" I can only confirm that there is a female user but she s never built anything, she came to the forum to say to her beloved that he was spending more time in ucapps than with her. I am trying to convince a local female electronic producer to build her little SID synthie. what s that? is your grand grand-father a vst parent?
  4. what then when i need to get a 2D render of a panel to be sent to the cnc guy ?
  5. yes it is possible although i don t understand why you want to measure the resistance between Vs and Vd i assume you have changed the configuration of the app to host 16 AINs does it crashes without the pots connected? use your multimeter to back trace voltages between CORE and AIN and between AIN and pots simone
  6. MidiOX ---> Windows SysEx Librarian (matched eventually with MidiPipe) ----> OSX simone
  7. hi no yes it really seems like that: -check that all the pots are connected correctly 1-GND 2-AIN 3-+5v -check that all the pots are ok (1k between pin 1 and pin 3) -check the cables: how do the pots connect to the AINs ?pictures? -remember that 1k pots may work but it s not advised, 10k is the best option simone
  8. now you are doomed to do something with it, buy another core, forget something else, buy it again and over and over again welcome aboard simone
  9. Nice! so much feedback tx I am not so interested in having a nice design to show to anybody (not yet at least) i am interested in 3D designing just for the mechanical construction of the boxes. I always did it rendering the 3 axis separately see http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,9617.msg85079.html#msg85079 for example. I would choose Sketchup then cause it seems to be an easy tool to start with. On the other side Povray is completely multiplatform. I quickly looked up for ray tracing and got this: so am i asking: is it worth climbing the steep learning curve of povray if i just need some basic designs ? what is the main difference between the 2 programs ? i ve also targeted http://www.blender.org/ and it s also multiplatform and open source. simone
  10. yes i remember now that i ve seen it in action this summer but i ve completely forgot about it, thanks good hint! simone i d like something for linux as well, anybody?
  11. ..since i have all this spare time and i would like to spend some more time in front of the computer i decided i want to give a go to 3D designing tell me tell me what program do you use? my preferences go for multiplatform applications for Mac and Linux and it s got to be free thanks simone
  12. that s not for fun, if people is told so there is a reason and the reason is that there are very few situations where it s not possible to rescue a PIC from temporal failure (except of course if it s been fried by high voltage), i actually can t remember any in the forum.. I am tempted to tell you to try to manually start the upload process of MIOS without the automatic "wait for upload request" feature in MIOSStudio but i fear the mods ;) NO but there is a difficult way: build or buy a burner and wipe it then burn the 1st BSL simone
  13. if that s ok with everybody i can do it on InkScape (it s free) so you can open the .svg click on a part and see the measurements, i am not a 3D programmer so don t expect anything fancy, this is how it would look like : !!!!EDIT!!! : i am adding the files here instead of starting a new post That should be it if there is something more you need to know let me know, i ll try to get some picture asap or if somebody else owning the ice cubes can do it even better. simone front-back.svg.zip side.svg.zip top.svg.zip front-back.svg.zip side.svg.zip top.svg.zip
  14. absolutely ok but i want 10% off your gain plus 50 cents for each download of the drawings, but for the forum members it s 40 cents plus 10% off after the second download and it s ok with 4.5 % with you i ll PM you with details ah sure i own the copyright of the drawings so no copies without my permission ok? err i changed my mind discount valid only for gurus, no wait only for moderators and..
  15. .. me , if i was an ice cubes vendor, and i was selling them to completely unknown people, i would probably... eeerr surely try to make the best profit possible, it s my business, it s my job.But probably it s just me having a bad morality, i ll burn in hell. simone
  16. hi this is for those ones who use Ableton for DJing. I have most of my music on an external FW HD, then i have other sources from another computer, stuff i get from friends, etc When i prepare a set i move all the music i want to play in a folder in my audio partition and load the files from there into Ableton. This folder is growing daily and i try to delete older files which i don t play anymore. It s not so easy to track all the tunes, and keeping the folder updated. How is your work flow ? any tip? simone
  17. hi in OSX 10.4.11 can i just overwrite the old files? tx simone
  18. .. come home dude
  19. i had to google to find out what visio is... (drop it) i would advise Inkscape, more and more people are using it, very user friendly and it s got all you need for panel and inside design (2D), it served me well and it is FREE ! and it s free multiplatform OSX, Windows and Linux so we can all exchange project seamlessly. simone
  20. ah then you have prolly missed this: and ;) simone
  21. afaik faders use teflon based grease which i ve never found, i replaced the grease on my technics with some quality bearing stuff but ain t 100% the same. anybody can source teflon based grease? simone
  22. Artesia please delete this post before DavidBanner comes around
  23. nice to see you got it fixed, i would definitely grab the chance and investigate to get the idea of what a resistors network is and what s the difference between that and a bunch of resistors tip2= buy a cheap multimeter, it s worth those 10$ (and you can test the resistance of your body and do other weird things etc)
  24. i ll write to the WWf and get the whole lot of you fixed boys !
  25. wilbo fargins, is this going to be the most wide spread DIY synth ever designed? dunno about PAIA and friends but this stuff is growing like a mushroom in the shade how does it feel ? *cimo handles the microphone to wilba*
