My rough numbers are: 100 X 3FTL6 UNKNOWN. 100 X 3FTL6 "Quiet" 50 X 1D.16 (Translucent white) 50 X 1S11.16.0 (Clear cylindrical) I might be interested in the quiet switches instead of the clicky ones, but it sounds like you'd have to look to see if the LED toggles to know if you pressed hard enough. I'm not too interested at jabbing at buttons, I'd rather just press them. I'm in for the quiet switches if the price is right, otherwise I'll go for the clicky ones.

I've had luck emailing amp@futurlec.com and asking for help. They've held up orders of mine for more than a month while they waited for one part to come in. The prices are great, I always get my stuff eventually, but they're the slowest shippping company I've ever dealt with other than MOTM/synthtech.com. When I order from them I buy lots and expect it to be about a month before I get my stuff. I've received orders from them in only a couple of weeks, but I think that's the exception, not the rule. If you ask amp@futurlec.com what the delay is I bet they'll tell you what's going on.

I could find B, but not 1B. That is until I clicked on the Related information (http://www3.alps.com/WebObjects/catalog.woa/E/HTML/Potentiometer/SlideMixers/RSN1M/RSN1M_common.html) link that's on the datasheet you linked to. 1B looks to be as linear a taper as they come.

The resistance taper for these is listed as 1B. Is that linear or log? Is there any place that's easy to find touch-sensitive knobs/caps for these?

I hope paypal gets their act together. In a couple of days, if you've not got your account back, let me know if you want me to email them and say since the vendor (you) has had their account limited, I either want them to restore your account or that I want my money back. If they choose to return my money, I'd then send you a check or send the money however you want. I won't send them such email unless you give me the go ahead. Is there some other kind of pressure that can be put on paypal to get them to give you your account back?

When we were talking about how to have panels made, one thought was to go with the current manufacturer for the metal work and someone else for a lexan plastic overlay... Could we use lexan overlays to rescue the current frontpanels? People satisfied with the current silk screening could stick with it, and everyone else could go for a bulk buy of lexan overlays. Whatever the group does at this point, given the current misalignment of the metalwork and silkscreening, I'd think getting a sample made for Wilba to approve first before doing/redoing the rest would be smart. I'm certainly willing to pay some extra to get a sample made for Wilba.

When I place knobs on my panel, it's easy to see that the distance of the text from the knob is not consistent. Two of the knobs actually overlay some of the text, though you can still read the text. I've also got some of the same quality issues -- extra blobs of white that I could scrape off with an extacto knife, missing white that I might be able to fill in with a small brush. I've even got problems in some of the holes on the panel -- there are little bits of metal not cut away that make the holes not perfectly cut out. That problem would be easy to deal with, but I was surprised at it. I could live with the panel as is, it's far better than I could have made by hand, but I'd prefer to buy a better Front Panel Express panel, even at a one-off price. At this point I find it difficult to believe that the current supplier cares enough to do a good silk screening job on this panel, so I'm personally ready to give up on them. Personally, I'm not that worried about losing the small amount of money that these panels cost me, but I do want to get good panels even if I have to buy them elsewhere. I also feel that the little seen back panel is just fine for use, so I'll probably use it as is and just look elsewhere for a decent front panel.

Smash, No kidding. I've gotten a few kits from you and everything is packed nicely, and all correct components were always shipped. Kind of like the old Heathkits in that I never got a kit with a missing or wrong component. Then again there's PAIA who I love, but of the 5 kits I've got there in the last few years, every one has had missing or wrong components. And their packaging leaves a LOT to be desired, unlike yours which is neat and well organized. I'm very grateful to people like you who care about what they do, even when you're clearly not doing it for money. Thanks!

SmashTV, I see a lot of people saying they want a parts kit (including me who wants 2). I can imagine you might have a very large investment in parts that you have to order before people pay for them. If it helps, I'll be glad to pay for parts kits before you have to place the parts orders. If many people were willing to do that as well, then all of us could save through your bulk-purchasing, and you could still not worry about people backing out of paying/ordering. I'm sure there would be many others willing to pre-pay as well, just like we've done for the MB-6582 PCBs and front/back panels.

I'll want two component kits with PIC chips for the MB-6582 baseboard. I'll also want one power switch if I can get it through you. I'll keep my eye out until you announce availability. Thanks!

I'd be glad to pay more for better durability. The only potential problem I remember about powder coating is that it can fill in threads and make holes smaller, so if powder coating was done after machining of the panels, them all the LED and button holes might end up smaller than they were drilled. If powder coating was done before machining, that wouldn't be a problem, but I don't know if the powder coating machines cleanly. In other words, I wonder if machined holes on a powder coated panel might have rough edges. That alternate artwork looks very nice to me. I'm guessing that the reversed text would be pretty tough to engrave/mill.

Altitude, I'd be in for two of the one you first showed.
