  1. well good news.. core works.. updated with the new bootloader and mios 1.9. that was very simple indeed.. anywho.. my core works.. now for some programming i guess. or testing out the buttons..
  3. dude thats fscking awesome.. where can i buy one :P J/K ill build it like all the others..
  4. i know what i did wrong.. atleast i think i do.. power to the wrong people.. i gave J2 the load J1 was supposed to get.. thats just stupid.. i replaced 7805.. and noticed the picture that TK made on the core module page.. it powers 2 different pins.. ok thats just stupid of me.. really.. come on!!.. well lets try it again!..
  6. indeed, in this case im using it with a band.. so the only thing i have on stage is an amplifier a synth and my midibox axe..
  8. 48V is too much.. then you would need to step it down inside the controller.. also you would need a mixing desk on stage.. imho not a very good solution.. but if it works for you.. run with it.. now what about the malfunctioning core?
  9. well, im sort of busy building this thing (i want to have a platform to learn to program midibox) but im having weird troubles with my core module.. the 2 powerpins are have a stable resistance between them of about 4K ohm.. also the 5805 was running hot within seconds.. but that was because i placed the poles of the psu wrong.. now that they are correct the 5805 isnt running hot anymore.. however the measurements i took to test it before placing the ICz, tells me the voltage goes up when the psuz supplied voltage goes up. ive searched the board for shorts but couldnt find any.. 5805 broken? or maybe something else? what am i doing wrong?
  10. is the guy who is bidding against cold.inferno a ucapps forum member?
  11. hey stryd, i will do an update with some pics of the cards.. also i dont exactly know what cards they are.. they look like aztech cards.. but no name or such on them..
  12. well, boards ordered from Smash.. and the parts from other sources.. also ive found 2 other soundcards with the required chips so i can make 2 MBFMz.. i was wondering though.. is it possible to link 2 MBFMz together like the MBSID? no picz... im tired..
  13. you could use a VCA, and use an aout or aout_LC(i think) for controlling.. its about the same for people who get anoyed about the filter.. a simple VCF, and you're trucking!
  14. nah david firth films it.. his co-creator is the one who gets filmed..
  15. well.. you can test them with a multimeter, thats the easiest way.. thats how i do it.. or you could look up the color codes..all i had to do was type resistor in google, and press the "i'm feeling lucky" button and the website i visited gave me all the info i needed.. if i didnt know how resistors work and/or cant distinguish between the different values.. good luck dude!
  16. well the karma is gone now..
  17. great to hear that they have arrived!
  18. apple macintosh
  19. ok its cheap.. and unreliable.. but it feels better than a tactile.. those things click.. are there any other buttons that dont click but are reliable?
  20. for me its highly motivating to have people cheering on what i do.
  21. <offtopic> about the speakjet and about the c64 keyboard.. why not combine that those projects.. then you can just type in the phrases.. and if you wanna tweak you can use the extra keys and some pots and or encoders.. oh and btw.. i want one :D </offtopic>

  23. thats not something im willing to do with this.. the structural integrity is already bad. also there isnt alot of room.. believe me.. im lucky that i can fit a dinx4, a doutx4 and a core inside it. also i dont mind having it powered from a PSU..
  24. lol.. nah.. batteries.. i dunno.. wanted to place my midi in there.. and some additional programming buttons..
