  1. Hello, I ran into some troublesome ebay auction now here comes the hard part: SSM2014 VCA - 3 pcs SSM2044 vcf - 4 pcs MN3004N BBD - 9 pcs TDA2104 BBD - 3 pcs NE5532-4 Signetics - lot pcs PCM56p - DAC - 10pcs if you need these you already know what they are for. MN3004N is equivalent to 3004 but low noise version. These were used in Roland vocoder plus, system 700, and countless others I don know bout. Signetics 5532 is said to be the best of the "bunch". Make an offer!! Im also looking for ceramic or plain NE5537 sample & hold.
  2. it was basically lot less cause i only typed the 3.rd ^^ If we resort to floating point then basically we re left with FPGA cause I cant see a Sharc DSP in diy territory anytime soon. I had an idea of doing this inside PC (controlled by midibox^^) and LFO / ENV values transmitted into a 70Usd avr32 devkit thru ethernet, doing nothing else than an oversized FIFO , loading 64bit OSC timestamps and driving the multichannel voltaeg out DAC. Not much interest generated in that topic.
  3. im not sure , but isnt that mixer is made out of PGA2311 IC-s... Then I dunno how suited that is because of builtin zero crossing detection ^^
  4. well my utterly limited experience comes from fruity loops where I started to play around with sometihng like this: adequate for me now ( not to mention the wonderful builtin envelope controller!!)
  5. sounds great to me !! what would be great too if you can have these merged, crossmod LFO-s in slots where you can place math formula! Can you post some scope pic ? :)
  6. probably the best explanation can be obtained by searching for SSM2040 http://www.siliconbreakdown.com/msl/chip.html oh and if you check the MOTM partlist for the discrete 2040, they use the CA3086... e(r v r s n g n r pl s) ;D
  7. LOL! besides ppl assembling groupbuy for CEM3372 filterchip on synthdiy, the one used in Oberheim Xpander , giving state variable LPHPBP at the same time
  8. there is also the so called VCA taper, how that looks like?
  9. I bet big money these are resultado's of prodigy-pro.com forum projects. Besides it takes a big wallet to buy those in& out transformers that makes up for the vintage name
  10. those are readily available on ebay
  11. I would not want to see the resulting transients - even if possible :P
  12. the PIC ains go into a single successive approximation ADC so its a single converter . Nebula says processing these signals would take big effort and mcu cycles, I think he is right. Please check THAT2252 datasheet and app notes it might be what you want (...)
  13. http://www.koen.smartelectronix.com/KTDrumTrigger seen this one? Why you need envelope data?
  14. modern compressors use THAT2252 ::)
  15. if you dont like ~5534 you must be trippin
  16. what you mean 500 series? API? with 2520 discrete opamp and slew rate? Perhaps you were mixing in the box back then too, and cannot distinguish properly because the Motu24 io was a limiting factor ( = 0.2 usd el cheapo opamps). To be on topic, I would do this with 19" screen and touchboard. You cant buy this many ledrings... Even if it would be standard Led bar's you should sell half of your gear lol, not to mention front panel .
  17. I knew it , knew this is euphonix shit, i was scratchin my head too . whipity whip , give me a 70's lunchbox over this bollocks any day of the year :P
  18. audio guys told me about this http://www.modushop.biz/ecommerce/cat073_l2.php?n=1 prices seem right to me, and it wouldnt be bad if we can share ideas about how to begin with this front panel & stuff
  19. Chuck Norris vs. Cornholio X http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lP4WAZ66gwE ;D
