  1. well torq based on m-audio's connectiv as mspinky itself. serato/nifs?
  2. + :does max/msp works with other vinyl emulation systems?
  3. you all know who got the first official kit. ;) Thanks SmashTV.
  4. Sony=god or something.
  5. my guess it's gonna be my next gear... still scratchin with tfs1.5
  6. DJs, remixers and producers on the forefront of technology, watch out. Serato and Ableton are happy to announce a partnership which will pave the way for the future of Digital DJing. With shared artist rosters from hip-hop (DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Nu-Mark, A-Trak) to electronica (Paul Van Dyk, DJ Sasha), both Ableton Live and Serato Scratch Live are renowned as the premier performance platforms in clubs around the globe. While Serato's Scratch Live excels in vinyl emulation, music library control and lightning quick hands-on scratching, Ableton Live provides the tools for production, on-the-fly remixing and beat creation. "Ableton and Serato take different approaches to modern musical performance," says Ableton CEO Gerhard Behles, "But both companies live by the philosophy that software should be straightforward, easy to use, and most importantly, reliable and stable onstage and in the studio. Ableton has never had an answer for the DJ who wants vinyl control, and rather than try to emulate what Serato do so well, we simply make sure that our products work well together." Serato Audio Research CEO Steve West agrees. "After years of talking together, we're thrilled to be working with Ableton. It's exciting to think about what we can offer to DJs and producers: the ability to go beyond just spinning records and add a personal stamp to the music they play." Just where this Serato and Ableton collaboration will take us has yet to be seen but one thing is clear: the worlds of DJing, remixing and production for artists worldwide have changes ahead.
  7. hello again. After posting and editing that numerous times, i re-read the whole thread and private messages couple of times too. I glare at the screen for days now, don't know what to do either... fucked situation. After seeing chain reaction my post evoke, more and more i realise i shoudn't posted that. I kinda was loosing hope back then. Not good. Damn me, hot head! ;D Back on track reconditioned.
  8. what about setting a date?
  9. reading the passage again, With no certain date set, I view your last message as "Delayed until further notice" or "delayed until you manage to make and sell your x0x and after that collect interest, money, pcbs production - again". Can take very much time. Very much time. Not good. : : Can you please reach his wife (via his sister). I'm afraid the guy was able to throw the stuff down the drain in the moment of unstable mind he had. : : Please post what she has to say about (particularly, where is our envelopes and why they are still there). On same occasion, please Instruct her to send them to us asap. Alternatively, please post me in PM his sister/his wife number so i could call her. I don't feel anything wrong disturbing a-n-y-b-o-d-y when my stuff disappear, so i definitely would investigate the issue further with you/his sister/his wife/family cat or else. How would you accept note that your stuff shipping status is on hold/delayed/lost unknown because some unknown mailman gone nuts down the road? At least, you would ask to know for sure that you still have something to wait for. Right? Hope you understand my position. Please help me to get my stuff i paid for. Please reply with critical information i asked for. I want solid facts. --------------------------- i come back (as in when you press 'modify' button on top right corner) and clarify again: there's nothing about you Sasha, i appreciate your work, being helpful as you can and all. It's personal about my stuff which is (hopefully) lying somewhere unattended or even non existing anymore (hopefully not). read it as 'show must go on', or as "i must receive my stuff i paid for". Good day to you, don't take it to your heart man.
  10. i pretty understand the reasons for patient's mental isolation treatment when being in this kind of facilities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcqQQRvNA00&feature=related All the best to poor man; i wish this organization will really help him to rearrange and rebuild his perspective on this world.
  11. first make the boards! untill then - it's 50/50 or 99/01 ;D ;D ;D
  12. got same problem once. just pull the metallic parts out of the plastic body (upwards), and reinsert them mirrored. done.
  13. can you please share more information regarding this project?
  14. confirmed! Thanks cimo. ;) i would be in for either 50, 33 or 25 sheets if someone else comes in sight and we split the 100pack further.
  15. Ok, we are 2 weeks after month end.
  16. Fine, now we could discover who bought the unit from Jan and later even get in direct contact with the latter seller. but.. the issue is not about finding the guilty and blaming him. there's another pan. It's like the whole idea of this midibox project was and being built on trust and respect between people, people which either appreciate, share, develop or simply feeling grateful for being allowed to be part of other's intellectual, time-consuming contributions, call them whatever you like. This particular example provides us with a new slippery challenge. The person who bought the unit from Jan can be absolutely unaware of any midibox regulations. have an example: I like sid sound. I browse the net. I get on some forum. I see somebody selling something i seem to like. I decide to give it a try. I register. I buy. I play.... and i sell. What's wrong with that? ???
  17. Delayed for 10 days. Holidays and such.
  18. the address looks intriguing.
  19. same, sent yesterday as registered bubblewrapped (as my all other post i usually send)
  20. second day photos and conclusions. Adding solution Boards thrown into the etchant Too Fresh solution: time adjusting time to wash them off Rinsing waters Washing out the asphalt with (crude?) oil Ready to laquer, 1mm drill and parts num screening (if any exist ;D) But... hey, stop. The most important thing i learnt today... is that not screens born equal. Precisely... There are screens you can not use with delicate images which require precision. Like, screening clothes is different from screening 0.025mm lines The key is Density... ;) I used 2 different screens with different densities. THE BETTER RESULTS (APART KINDA EATEN TRACES WHICH CAUSED BY INCORRECT TIMING WITH SOLUTION) WERE DELIVERED BY MORE DENSE SCREEN, APPARENTLY 90-100, while second screen (the papareil -bigger- boards and others) was estimated as 70-75: it gave us more rude and coarse results, inacceptable for even moderated QC. More than that, quantity of asphalt matters as well: less you put onto the screen, better results you get. and the scan to evaluate said above: link to higher resolution image (x4) ... Proving the silkcreen density importance, we gonna make NEW boards tomorrow with all-new-out-of-the-bag screen marked 120 . should be even better then. ;) Vlad
  21. welcome to the community. ;)
  22. i honestly believe the next sentence will not be applicable to you: PEOPLE SHOULD NOT SELL SAMPLED PARTS THEY GET FOR FREE! :P
  23. my dark evil plan originally was to screen the mb6582 panel graphics for myself.... but then making of cnc g-code failed. if you know someone with proper cnc/lasercut in TLV area, lemme know! p.s. no probs with making you cool boards.. you have to drill them, that's the pain!
  24. My photoblog: things as they were today. The pcbs are tonepad fx's and papareil MIDI to CV-Gate MCV-628. to be continued tomorrow... ferric chloride, laque and drilling bazillion holes later in jevelry dept... and don't tell me there's more elegant etchant solutions exist. ;D i know, i know.
  25. seems like we have concensus here... a wiki with pcb contributions there, anyone? ;D
