  1. Hi TK,

Thanks for your appreciating ... it makes me very happy

and I was really excited to see my MBFM in the blog

About the choice of desktop or rack version I think the second offers more space

in fact, as I planned a second MBFM with SSM2044 filters I will use a 19" rack case

    Best regards

  2. Hi,

    Thanks guys

How did you do the lettering? Is it red acrylic/metal with a black silk screen?

Yes acrylic paint on metal then silk screen for lettering

Gotta love the "arrest me red" paint job

Yes... :D effectively the paint color name is " SIGNAL RED "

About the sound... I will try to port on it the sounds of my TX81Z and will share on the forum

but I have to fight against " little time on evening " monster :bug:

    Regards

  3. Heya!

Finally I received the plexiglass window so my MBFM is really completed.

I want give thanks to TK who shared the results of his great work with us...to SmashTV with his

"speedoflight" shipping and Wilba with his effort in chips finding ( and shipping ).

A special thank go to Flemming for his psicological support to me during the

parts and materials waiting ( that for us seems always too long ).

    regards

  4. Hi,

I am going to use ( read "to experiment" ) MB808 sequencer with the TR808 clone voice board ( from Microlarge )

The trigger output on the SR have to be connected to the trigger input of the voice board throug 100/220 ohm resistors ?

or can be wired directly w/o any resistor?

( in effect the ask is for any instrument trigger input that can be driven from MB808 )

    Thanks for any helpful information

    Regards

  5. uhm...

Probably it need less time find a SPO256AL2 and write an application on a pic core to move some bits on MIDI event

But as I say I did in BASIC some years ago and I will try when I will have more MIOS knowledge.

Anyway my SPO256AL2 works fine yet

  6. Hi ,

actually seems that midification of speech syntesisers with MBHP is only for Speakjet.

I used years ago SPO256AL2 to give voice to VIC20 and ZXSpectrum and more recent on LPT port

of my old 486 and used to sample it on my old S1100

Time ago I thought the same project as this chip are very easy to manage ( at least 6 bit word and two

control lines ) but I am a BASIC programmer

and actually I havent enough skills for design such an application.

I think it could be interesting project...another way to generate chip voice

Anyway I can give hardware effort

    Regards
