  1. sorry, all gone!
  2. does the high cap value do both, keeping the thru led on as soon as there's a sequencer connected (that doesn't have to run) and the other led off all the time? does anyone else use the thru/out option with SidV2? how is the out led working in your setup? actually i don't even know exactly what is to be transferred via midi out when changing sth in the menues. sorry, i can't find it in the docs (or haven't understood, maybe)
  3. hi there! i've attached an LTC module to my SidV2, to have midi through and an additional out. of course i put in the 4 wire core connection cable the wrong way at first. the whole synth wouldn't power up, so i changed it and then it worked. the midi through works, i can control another synth through it. but one thing makes me think i could have damaged something by putting in the cable the wrong way: the through LED glows all the time, and the out LED is always off. i thought i could make it light up when changing some sound settings, but nothing yet. i have not put the MAX on the board and also not the COM socket, nor the related 100n caps. maybe i have still wired something wrong (are there also wire bridges to omit in the thru/out version?) too stupid also that i soldered in the ics first time, so it's not too easy to swap them again thanks!
  4. hi! this is the current one:
  5. i like them both. by the time i got the ultracore the V4 hadn't even been released. it's a shame that i haven't finished one yet. but when i thought about it back then i figured it's cool to have them both, because they're actually two different devices (with different led matrices now). but this video for the new BLM is a real teaser, immediate wanna-play!
  6. what does the 6-10 511-M part mean? something special or just the ordinary guys here: http://www.reichelt.de/?;ACTION=3;LA=444;GROUP=A2231;GROUPID=2930;ARTICLE=3155;START=0;SORT=artnr;OFFSET=100;SID=25jY1oUqwQARkAAF25plA910eb41956018a8f640a49d4f09f4ebe
  7. nono, i haven't even finished my V3 and wouldn't like to throw the ultracore away... seems like i have to build both versions then
  8. hi! as understand it the BLM is also a standalone device with own dedicated firmware, so does it work with the SeqV3 also or are some features of the SeqV4 strictly required for a proper communication and all available functions?
  9. something to watch over & over again! very nice! it's so cool!
  10. because you're young at heart!? with the cv it all depends on how you configure it. there are some people who built some for their modular with 8 cvs and 8 gates. you'll find a lot of info about this here in the forum. maybe another thing worth reading about is the MB808 drum sequencer.
  11. you could build a MBCV. you should be able to use the cv(s) to control pitch(es) and i guess you could use the gate(s) to trigger the MPS(s). if the MPS really requires short trigger impulses you can probably generate these out of a gate signal without much effort. but can't tell from own experience, as i haven't finished mine yet (neither CV nor MPS)
  12. J4-J7 each have an output pin (Ox) and Ground (Vs). you could wire each jack separately (O to tip, Vs to the ground ring) but here it's recommended in the pdf to connect all the grounds together and wire them to one point where they meet the grounds of the core and the opl3 module (in order to avoid ground loops= humming). the output pins still have to be connected to the tips of the corresponding output jacks using separate wires.
  13. congratulations! and all the best for your exhibition! please let us know more about how you're doing this. it's very impressive indeed. where is it btw?
  14. ok, after updating mios and installing the sid firmware again the encoder works fine. i still had the impression that there's no real stereo... the impression was correct. after reading the appropriate part of the documentation again i cut the cable between the 2 sid boards and made a new connection from J14 of the core to S0 on the 2nd sid module. works!
  15. this worked for me too! thanks!
  16. years go by (literally) but now i've almost finished my 1st midibox Sid V2! it's a step B minimal stereo 8580 setup with 8x BankStick. i just temporarily put it in a cardboard box. it's running, but i still have to figure out some minor stuff, like changing the encoder settings. atm it's going 4 steps per move. at this point i'd like to thank you guys who have helped me, especially TK, Wilba, stryd_one, SmashTV, Mike! i'll update this as soon as i have made a cool case (soon to come)!  YAY! edit: typos, of course

  22. hey grizz please count me in with 4 chipsets! thanks
  23. hi! what kind of switch are you looking for? can you show a picture, even of a bad one?
  24. hi guys! as i have ordered a few more than i actually need (smt insecurity) i can share some GM5 chips & boards with you. they're from the last run. i still have 6x GM5 chips and 3x GM5 single board (the small, green guy) attention: it's the v1_1 board, info here: price is the same as i got them from TK of course, shipping can't be much (i have plenty of used bubble wrap envelopes). post interest here! update: 0x GM5 0x board edit: all gone!!
