  1. I've sent my order PM for a MBHP_ETH PCB - are you able to tell us the parts that we need to populate the board? I'm putting together a large mouser order that I want to get done soon :) Cheers!
  2. I'm not sure about the answer to your questions, but you can have a look at the code here: SVNmios You might find the option to choose what dimension LCD and align the track captions. :)
  3. Yeah thanks I've tried google and the wiki.... no luck.
  4. Anyone know of a good (preferably free) guide to electrical connectors and wiring? Not necessarily about soldering.... Thanks! :sorcerer:
  5. A quick google search leads me to believe that Protools can't speak OSC. You'll have to use another program, like Max or PureData to translate from OSC to Midi.
  6. Not sure if it's related, but this forum randomly logs me out between visits. :sorcerer:
  7. Thorsten/Wilba, any idea what buttons are planned for this? I'm curious how the buttons in the matrix will align to the displays. Thanks :)
  8. Does this mean one can simply chain up to 8 DINX4 modules on to the end and MIOS takes care of it? (I'd of course have to write an app that uses these) I assume the same applies for DOUTX4 too? Thanks :)
  9. I've just been looking through the svn repository - tk's tutorials and commenting are so damn good that I'm gonna buy only one :sorcerer:
  10. Not good! I'll pay the extra for a second core.... :)
  11. The USB page on wikipedia mentions a Battery Charging Specification whereby devices can get up to 1.8A - presumably only possible on those standalone USB chargers for mp3 players. I suppose I'll just build something and measure the power draw to see if I can bus power it :)
  12. Is it possible to use encoders instead of the motor faders in the LC? I've had a search on this and the only thing I could find was a mention of being able to activate the flip mode to use the encoders that are usually there instead of the faders. Thanks :)
  13. I understand the Core32 midi presents 2 input and 2 output ports. Does this mean it is possible for a single Core32 to run 2 programs at the same time? Ie. a LC for one midi port and a 64e for the other? :)
  14. Hmmmm, thanks for that :) It'd only be for my use, so I don't mind if it violates the spec as long as nothing melts or releases magic smoke. The core32 page on ucapps.de recommends a power supply of at least 500ma, but doesn't go into detail about what peripheral boards that might be enough for, or whether it can get that over USB. Perhaps Tk would be able to help us out here :)
  15. Would it be possible to use USB bus power for a MB64E (or MBLC with encoders instead of motor faders) with the Core32? Thanks
  16. I've done some reading and I see that the LC app will be ported to the Core32 sometime soon. I'm considering building a custom LC/midi controller and I have a few questions - my apologies for anything that's already been answered in the forum. I want to build a somewhat stripped down LC and have some general purpose midi encoders and buttons on the controller as well. I understand the LC protocol requires its own midi port. Does the Core32 provide 2 midi ports via USB? Is there a minimum component set for the controller to function as a logic control? My current thought is 8 channels of motor fader, mute/solo/rec, pan encoder. Scrub wheel, transport controls and bank select. 1 or 2 LCDs to view. And I suppose the most important question: Will this be better than a BCF2000? I'd be using the Alps motor faders. I find the faders on the BCF noisy and jerky. Thanks! :)
