Ponoko front panel for Wilba's control surface pcb

I love the idea of the tilted sequencer on top of the BLM. That's the right direction! -

That looks great! 2 additional rows of encoders would already be very cool! I still would like to have the encoders next to the LCDs, but that could be solved if we make the panels modular, like you said. I think that's a very good idea. Let's hear some more opinions on that, I'm curious what other people think about this. -

Wow, this is awesome! I'm extremely excited about this! :w00t: findbuddha: I did some very quick edits of your images to hear what everyone thinks about them. The first has the whole sequencer on top of the BLM, because i think the LCDs and the encoders should not be too far away from each other, it's more intuitive that way. In the second I added 3 rows of encoders which could be used to directly edit gate, velocity, length, etc... this would allow a very nice workflow without having to switch which parameter to edit. Would that be possible? The whole thing might get too big though.... They are just rough ideas... would they work? What do you think about them? -
Debian. It is very flexible. I use it for everything. If you want all the newest stuff in music software, have a Computer with much processing Power, and time to setup and fine tune a music production system, Gentoo with the Pro Audio Overlay might be a good choice.

Agreed. I'll change my vote to white on red if white on black doesn't get more votes just to avoid blue.

Hi grizz, please look at the last post from pingosimon who started this thread. I don't think this bulk order is happening. Cheers, flip

Wow, nice work!

I have this one: http://www.optrex.com/products/partdetail.asp?PartNumber=C-51847NFQJ-LW-AAN It's a very nice display. Bought it from Mouser: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Optrex/C-51847NFQJ-LW-AAN/?qs=B%252bqVsPVDGkrqJZj0DOTQBg== If you want to use this display, as per Wilbas advice, you have to swap R4 for about 80K, because this display needs less current then standard LCDs.

You are aware this is about a 16 *Mega*Byte SD card, right?

Nice! It looks very cool. How did you colorize the C64 case? Paint? Dye? Or something else?

Nice! That is indeed better then ordering from PBE. I want one :) Should we make a list in the wiki? Or just post here? Or send PMs to you Smithy?

I just checked with PBE, they have the following conditions: Minimum order quantity: 3 (50 EUR) Prices: 1-49: 18,49 EUR 50-249: 17,91 EUR 250+: 17,32 EUR Shipping costs: Standard UPS shipping rates: <5kg: 13,20 EUR They have to order the cases, so delivery time would be 3-4 weeks.

I'll check tomorrow!

Cool, thanks for the explanation. No, of course not! I just thought it would be cool as an option. Yes, I was thinkig about illuminating lots of pushbuttons instead of button pads, similar to the arcadebutton monome clone, but with much smaller buttons. Best, flip

Oh, so it wouldn't be possible to use LEDs like these: http://cgi.ebay.de/100-pcs-5mm-RGB-LED-4000mcd-Common-Cathode-Free-R_W0QQitemZ250525519785QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a547c0fa9 ?

100 RGB LEDs cost 20-25 EUR.

I just noticed this. This is amazing!! You are the best TK! I'll instantly start building an MBSEQ with lots of buttons as soon as this is possible! Luckily I have a few projects to finish first, otherwise I couldn't stand the anticipation ;) Anything I can do to help? RGB-LEDs might also be a cool idea for the matrix, that would open up lots of possibilities for functions later. Cheers, flip
