  1. Okay, since I've orientated myself on eBay prices, I'll lower the price to 19,40EUR for the SID, since auction fees aren't applicable. Add 5,60EUR for insured shipping and you can have the SID for 25EUR.
  2. Thanks Thorsten, that's nice to hear. @ TK & freddy: So my idea was to organize a bulk order for the case and the front panel as a bundle, since I'm able to control the quality in the land of origin. If the bulk happens, the ordered cases will be double checked with the case I have on my bench. If someone wants the front panel or the case individually, well, that can be arranged, too. The idea of the bundle is to save the shipping costs, but no problem to send them separately. For the back panel and the break out board: I hope that these can be designed by professionals or independently for special wishes (On-off-switch, QuadIIC board, CV ports etc.) Actually I'm not able to design schematics and designing a back panel is something, I haven't done yet. But I can provide the case for those professionals. If they come up with a solution, the back panel can be included in future bulks or ordered separately from frontpanels.de
  3. Okay, freddy wrote me a PM about the status of my case. Status is: Everything is soldered but the CS isn't working and I haven't figured out what's wrong there. What I have figured out is, that the LPC17 fits the original TK case (I bought one from orange_hand, thanks again!). But the MIDI sockets and the USB socket have to be outsourced on a separate breakout board (the back panel has to be redesigned, too I guess. I have a STM32 core as well, so I haven't thought about that yet). I will post some pics of the breakout board, the LPC17 core and the TK case at the end of the week. There have some knobs to be shipped as well. Additional thoughts about a bulk order: Big bulk orders by untrusty individuals are meh. I experienced this first-hand. Another thing are the prices. Schaeffer wants ~200EUR for a single front panel excl. shipping, that's really expensive. So for example, if ken wants to buy 2 cases, he has to pay for 2 expensive front panels plus shipping. And additional shipping for the cases, which are quite heavy as well. TK's case + front panel weighs ~ 1,9 kg. Speak of enormous shipping cost with DHL, if you order panel and case individually. Japan is extra expensive, too (~ 45EUR if I'm correct) Solution for this problem: I talked to Frank (forum username: Roelli / frontpanels.de) and he wants around 130-150EUR for a proper front panel. He got endorsements from orange_hand and Nils and he also gave me a good price for my front panel. The idea is: if people who are interested in TK's original case would also order the front panel from Frank, lots of unnecessary shipping and manufacturing costs could be saved. Let's imagine a first round where 10 people order the front panels from Frank, they pay him and he's sending them to me. I in the mean time order 10 cases at Heidenreich and bundle them up individually in a single box, which then can be send priority worldwide via Deutsche Post as a Maxibrief International 2kg + full insurance and tracking for 17EUR + ~ 5EUR insurance. One would save the expensive international DHL shipping cost (~34 EUR) - twice - and also would save 50EUR on the front panel. That's a saving of minimum 70EUR. If a solution for the back panel has been found, one could easily order it from Frank as well. The back panel so lightweight, it fits a priority Maxibrief International 1kg + full insurance and tracking for ~12EURs. Pay Frank some extra gas money for the post office and - nevertheless - you'll save 30% compared to Schaeffer. Also the risk of huge sum failings is mitigated. Front panels are paid at Frank directly and a 10 unit case bulk order isn't a big deal from my side. It's definitely manageable, as I showed with my larger knob bulk orders. A lot of money has already been saved on front panels and shipping costs, so it isn't necessary anymore to pile up unmanageable quantities of cases just to save 10 EUR. That's all from my side, I've got a knobs bulk order to finish and some non-Midibox work to do, please expect delayed responses. Talk to you guys later. Best regards Martin
  4. Up for sale is a SID MOS 8580 in perfect condition. All filters are working. Price is 25EUR incl. worldwide insured shipping. excl. insured shipping, which would be an additional 3 - 5.50€ depending on your location. PM me if you are interested! Best regards Martin
  5. Yes, the Sifram look nice. Wider than 11 mm isn't ergonomic on the SEQ4. And some groovings in the knobs should come handy. Status of this bulk is up and running. If Syn-Fi signs up, the domestic shipping costs are covered and everybody will receive their knobs as soon as Albs delivers.
  6. Yes, they are. See the difference between the dimensions here: http://albs.de/ecom/images/860018.pdf & http://www.albs.de/ecom/images/863063.pdf They both share the same D-shaft dimensions. The DK11-170 is 17 mm high and 11 mm wide, the DK16-190 19 mm high and 16 mm wide. Btw, the DK11-170 have a better handling, they aren't as "slippery" as the DK16-190 IMO. Even though one might assume otherwise because of the bulges. But the DK11-170 material is harder, therefore the better touch.
  7. You should mail Percivale
  8. Those? http://roganknobs.com/ptseriespointercontrolknobs.aspx I guess it's better when somebody from the US runs that BO. Btw, +500 $4.77? I should reconsider my prices
  9. Hi guys n gals, this is the ALBS Waldorf knobs bulk order Spring/Summer 2014 and the continuation of the following, sucessful bulk orders: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=waldorf_knobs_bulk_order_2012 http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=waldorf_knobs_bulk_order_2013 http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=waldorf_knobs_bulk_order_april_2013 http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=waldorf_knobs_bulk_order_fall_2013 Presumably the last bulk order I will run for the Waldorf knobs, as I want to focus more on the metal SEQ4 cases. New items in this BO are: Drehknopf DK11-170 A.6/4,5 vertieft (recessed, black) Drehknopf DK45-114 A.6/4,5 schwarz (black) The Wiki page can be found here: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=waldorf_knobs_bulk_order_spring_2014 I may revise some minor details but the bulk order starts today and will end May 13th 2014. I guess there's plenty of time for everybody to sign up. If you have trouble with your Wiki account, PM me your quantities and the total amount and I will fill it in for you. Best regards Martin aka kristal=
  10. I remember bidding on a C64 at eBay, pulling out a fine SID and sell the SID-less C64 for the same price. So basically I got a SID with some eBay work for free. You see a lot of C64 spare parts on eBay, that's how ripped C64 end. Or someone puts a SwinSID in it and it's good as new.
  11. I can recommend those, if gme.sk runs out of stock: http://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/40x2-LCD-Display-Blue-Negative-Mode-White-LED-Backlight-57-2263
  12. Drehknopf / Rotary knob DK11-170 A.6/4,5 vertieft http://albs.de/ecom/images/860018.pdf Available from Albs in sufficient quantities and will be included in the next coming bulk order. Price ~1.20EUR. I try to synchronize the bulk order with Fairlightiii's one, so I don't get caught off guard like last time and therfore can offer larger discounts for higher quantities.
  13. Hi guys I'm selling a MB-6582 kit in mint condition, because I realize that I won't have time to build a MB-6582 in the near future. I'm going to settle for a single stereo SID solution, therefore I sell this kit. The kit comes with the base & CS PCBs from SmashTV, 4 preburnt PICs, a red and fitting LCD from Satistronic, 15x Waldorfstyle knobs in black/white for the front panel & 4x Waldorfstyle knobs in black for the back panel. It also contains a 7 pin PSU socket and a fitting switch, so you don't have to rip an old C64 apart. Every item is in mint condition. Prices include shipping & custom fees, furthermore I reduce the price for the PCB considerably to give you an incentive to buy it. Insured priority shipping (max. 5 days to the EU borders) incl. tracking in a sturdy cardboard box is free within the EU! PICs & PCBs 100 EUR LCD 10 EUR 15x knobs 18 EUR 4x knobs 5 EUR power socket 5 EUR power switch 2 EUR ----------------------- total 140 EUR Paypal is preferred, but you can also send me the money via SEPA/IBAN. Best regards Martin
  14. Case is ready. To-do list: Soldering of the encoders & LEDs plus wiring the LCDs to the LPC17 core.
  15. @mutascan: I documented some of the SEQ4 parts here: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=kristal#important_seq4_pages
  16. They seem to sell very quick, great you caught the last ones :) As a small comfort, when I order stuff from NL I pay ridiculous shipping prices as well. 9,50EUR for an registered envelope with a weight ~50g. :pinch:
  17. It'll work, that's for sure, but it isn't best practice IMO. I try the nylon standoff route and if I fail, I'll go back to the metal standoff route. Edit: Weird, I discuss these things on the forum and I come up with a easy fix, that hasn't occured to me before. Just put a nylon washer under the metal standoff and it does the job fine. Doh! Could have saved me some epoxy grinding and time.. LOL. Edit2: Now I understand why I did it. I only had metal standoffs, but no washers at home, when I discovered the tight standoff situation. So I ordered nylon washers, nylon nuts and nylon standoffs at the same time, not realizing I only need the washers :)
  18. Mhh, the design of the CS PCB could be revised one day... I don't want to use metal standoff there (1mm gap). So my (untested) solution are nylon standoffs with JB Weld in it. Therefore my whole SEQ4 assembly will be further delayed by some weeks.
  19. They ship for 10,65 EUR to NL: http://www.we-shop.eu/MagJack-SI-60024-F::3631.html http://www.ebay.de/itm/MagJack-SI-60024-F-/151143030369?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
  22. Well, the quality comes with practice. The guy in the video is right, it is really quite simple. Just practice and you'll get better. Anyways, maybe you're lucky and somebody sells his/her MB-6582.
  24. Maybe start with a good tutorial? Try to master this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Learn-to-solder-kit-FREE-SHIPPING-USA-/301054899314 Then have a look at: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=kristal#important_mb6582_pages
