I need this in my life and studio. Can it play Conway’s game of Life as a screensaver?
That's a great plan, J! :) Game of Life should be doable! Every MatriX customer gets a free wish! ;-) Necessary restrictions in the small print: only code work, only if it can be done in reasonable time and only if others would enjoy it as well.
A minesweeper clone (imagine that, with physical mechanical keyboard buttons!) was also requested and i am really tempted! :)

Yes! Tetris was requested quite often! Technically it should be easy to implement, but there might be trademark problems... Many greets! Peter

Can it run doom?
With a lot of hacking, it might, i heard there are even C64 doom versions! :)

Thanks, @monokinetic and @Phatline!
The display will be a full-RGB OLED, that is similar to the 1306, but larger and in full color, so, this will give us the colorspace for e.g. an exact graphical representation of the state of all BLM keys, and of course quite a few more things :).
The navigator joystick and the yet invisible X/Y sliders below the joystick in this photo can be used for transmitting CC data in the normal SEQ v4+ BLM context and will be used for advanced clip editing features when connected to a LoopA! :)
Have a good weekend and best regards!

Thanks guys, all Kudos go to Adrian who designed the case and Andy who designed the superellipse caps! :D

Nice job - that's a cool "minimal CS" NG!
Many greets,
Peter -
@cane creek yes, if it's basically the same part number, only a different color designator, it should work! If you watch the first LoopA videos on youtube, you'll see it had a blue newhaven OLED back then.
Have fun building and have a nice holiday season!
Best regards, Peter -

This looks amazing.
Thanks, man!
Working on the corresponding video build tutorial now, which will cover everything (including set-up and calibration).
These modules should also work fine with your SEQ v4, if you have a line driver (transmitter) board with a DB25 output connector installed.
Have fun and many greets!

ps: the panel graphics will still be updated slightly for the final version - like the v4+ case, Hallik Engineering will provide them and we can't wait to have them in hands :).

Nice job! That is a heck of a modiphyed v4+! :)

Oh dear, what a beast! ;-)

@FantomXR we love backlit matias switches! :)

no problem, had strange behaviour on the gallery lately too. we might need a forums software upgrade soon! :) will try to fix it!

Nice one, and welcome back, Schrabikus!

Yes, he knows! We will recheck everything on a fully painted version, also, this is just the first picture of the unpainted left-hander :). The only critical change from the last version (that worked very well) are the now countersunk encoder knob cutouts.
Many greets, Peter -
Thanks, Bruno!
Let's see how it comes out, when a final case leaves the printhouse! :)
Hopefully we can (relatively) soon compare the graphical mockup with the real thing!
Many greets,

Yes, really well done! It is always great to see a new TPD in the wild and this one is a beauty! :)
Many greets and have a great weekend!

Le pr0n!
@jojjelito Thanks, J! :)
You now only need a Moroder-Mustache, have it play back some italian synthpop loops on one of your analogs and it should perfectly fit the cliché! :-D

Hi Bruno,
Thanks!
It was a design choice - we have multiple m2 inner "sandwich" screws which could have been used, but then there would have been holes in the precious frontpanel :). In general, it is stable enough, only minimal "bulge" at the middle. The inner PCB sandwich is fixed to the bottom acrylic plate with 7 m2 screws, so it stays in place firmly, no wobble when pushing in "tight" midi cables for example - the vertical walls next to the screws are necessary to avoid "overtightening" and bulge of the middle part, correct - but in general, as the unit is very small (only about 20cm horizontally from screw hole to screwhole) methinks it is sufficiently stable, as long as the inner sandwich is constructed to specs (max 32mm inner height).
Many greets,
Peter -
Thanks, guys! :)

Thanks! :-)
Yes, pedals (not yet supported in the current software) should be quite easily mappable to different functions like "arm" or "run/stop".
The tilted orientation of the unit is of course optional, you can just remove the spacer and it sits flat on the table! But the rubber feet (Reichelt GF 2) will really hold it in place on various synths or if the stage is shaking :)Many greets! Peter
